Abstract

This study was carried out in order to find a model for overcoming many cases of conflicts among different religious community when building praying houses. The case study in the form of qualitative research has been used to get data. This study was on a plan to build a church by Pantecoast sect of Surabaya (GPPS)in Palu, that is opposed by local community.. Results of study shows that there is manipulated data on pupulation acceptance of building of the church. This conflict was not yet over since the agreement among the difference religious community that is facilitated by government, is not settled. The main reference of that agreement is co-ministries Regulation of Domestic Affairs and Religious Affairs no 8 and 9, year 2006.

Abstract

Interreligious tolerance is a basic element needed for developing attitude in understanding and respecting diffrences among plural communities in Indonesia. That kind of attitude not only from religion side, but also from culture, ethnics and language sides. Students of high school has importance position and big potention in creating interreligious tolerance. The problem is, to what degree of tolerance among high school students exist on this case. This research is done quantitatively with all students in the provinces of Java and Sulawesi in survey based for collecting data. The results of research shows that in general attitude of the students toward religious life is quite moderate and tolerance. There is tendency in not tolerant for a small number of students. It is needed to spur all students in accelerating of attitude toward tolerance.

Abstract

This interesting study on harmony of people who have diffrent religions was done in district of Tulang Bawang, the province of Lampung. This research is more interesting since there are so many social conflicts have been happened in other regions. The people who stay in the district are relatively heterogen in terms of religions and ethnicity. So actually they have tendency to be in conflicts. This study traces the harmony of life among people who are in different religions. From that 2011 research which was done qualitatively is found that those people are condusive. This condition is caused by there are attitude of tolerance, respect others feeling that they live togetherly. Beside that, there are also local culture and local wisdom make them live in harmony.

Abstract

The term Syiah means followers, today conventionally it refers to a moslem group, after the death of the prophet Muhammad SAW, who belive that position of leaders of moslem people is prerogatively holded by Ali and his descendants. The are believed to be sacred. In basic, the practices of Syiah is not much different from other moslem groups (Sunni). Those some manifested differences are in terms of ritual ablution before prayers (wudlu), praying kneeling position (sujud), praying time, temporary marriage (mut`ah), the way folding hand in praying, optional praying in fasting month and one fith tax (khumus).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perkembangan pembangunan rumah ibadat dan kasus seputar pendirian rumah ibadat di Sulawesi Utara. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Bagaimana perkembangan pembangunan rumah ibadat pasca PBM Nomor 9 dan 8 tahun 2006 di Provinsi Sulawesi Utara? Dan bagaimana kasus-kasus seputar pendirian rumah ibadat di Sulawesi Utara pasca PBM Nomor 9 dan 8 tahun 2006? Pembangunan rumah ibadat di Sulawesi Utara mengalami perkembangan yang cukup berarti meski telah terbit PBM Nomor 9 dan 8 tahun 2006 yang lebih ketat mengatur persoalan pendirian rumah ibadat. Perkembangan pendirian rumah ibadat tersebut terjadi apda rumah ibadat semua agama yang ada. Ada beberapa kasus-kasus terkait pendirian rumah ibadat yang dikaitkan dengan muatan PBM Nomor 9 dan 8 tahun 2006, diantaranya masalah emsjid al-Khairiyah Manado, penolakan pendirian mesjid raya di Kota Bitung, serta beberapa kasus penolakan pembangunan mesjid di beberapa temapat di Sulawesi utara.

Abstract

Abstract This research describes the implementation of wakaf land certification policy in Kota Karawang, West Java Province. This study uses a qualitative approach and explains the fact that, the data on the status of uncertified wakaf land is still much larger than that already certified, most of the land use / use of waqf land is mostly used for mosques and mushalla, administrative and coordinative processes and performance which need to be improved to minimize the occurrence of data discrepancies. Four things become an indicator and then concluded that the understanding of society is done solely for places of worship that its use is intended as a mosque, mushola, and educational institutions and other purposes that benefit the interests of the ummah. Awareness of community representation emerged and maintained due to the strong role of religious leaders. In relation to land wakaf land mapping data in Karawang, there are differences in the amount of wakaf land data published by three institutions, should not occur if there is a work synchronization and maximum coordination between the three institutions. There is a dispute on wakaf land in Karawang caused by the lack of public awareness about the importance of administration perwakafan. Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Karawang regency needs to cooperate more intensively dengen Government Karawang and BPN in acceleration of land certification through coaching and socialization perwakafan. The lack of budget for perwakafan posts in the Ministry of Religious Affairs Karawang regency has contributed to the weakness of the process of certification of wakaf land.

Abstract

Konflik merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan interaksi antar kelompok. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengelolan konflik dan proses negosiasi yang telah dilakukan Gereja Kristen Jawa (GJK) Joyodinigratan dan Masjid Al-Hikmah yang hidup berdampingan dalam satu alamat yang sama selama puluhan tahun sejak 1957. Dengan metode studi kasus, peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pengelolaan konflik yang baik dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa pendekatan, yaitu accommodating, problem solving/collaboration, avoiding dan compromising. Faktor personal, hubungan dan budaya juga merupakan faktor penting adalam keberlangsungan hubungan yang harmonis antara gereja dan masjid, yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk komitmen perjanjian persaudaraan yang telah dibangun sejak berdampingannya kedua rumah ibadah tersebut. Resolusi konflik yang dilakukan oleh kedua belah pihak bukan hanya pada masa lampau atau masak kini, namun resolusi yang harus dilakukan secara terus menerus dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Berangkat dari tesis bahwa sufisme dianggap sebagai media alternatif untuk membangun masyarakat yang ramah, toleran, dan menghargai keragaman, tulisan ini berusaha mencoba melihat kembali sejauh mana kekuatan tesis itu dengan meneropong fenomena baru tentang propagasi sufisme yang berlangsung di warung kopi. Diversitas masyarakat di warung kopi akan semakin memberikan gambaran lebih jelas terkait tesis tersebut. Bagaimana potret akseptasi masyarakat di warung kopi terhadap propagasi sufisme adalah sasaran utama dalam tulisan ini, di samping mendeskripsikan bentuk dan karakteristik sufisme yang di diseminasikan –meski bukan menjadi titik tekan utama. Pada sisi lain, tulisan ini juga semakin memperkuat asumsi tentang fenomena kebangkitan Islam sejak Akhir Abad 20, yang dipandang kian mampu menjangkau berbagai sektor ruang publik yang tidak dapat diprediksi sebelumnya. Hasil akhir studi menunjukkan bahwa bersamaan dengan berlangsungnya propagasi sufisme di warung kopi, ada lanskap yang menarik yang ditampilkan oleh masyarakat warung kopi. Akseptasi di antara pengikut (jama’ah), pengopi, dan pengunjung memberi gambaran bagaimana cara mereka menyikapi keragaman dan perbedaan. Masing-masing melakukan aktivitas dalam satu ruang tanpa ada yang merasa terganggu satu sama lainnya. Beberapa pengunjung dan pengopi -terlepas dari afiliasi organisasi keagamaannya di luar warung kopi- bahkan memberikan penghormatan yang tinggi, seperti; ikut berdiri ketika proses ritual penghormatan dalam sesi Maulid Nabi (mahal al-qiyam). Situasi ini tentu semakin memperkuat tesis di atas.

Abstract

Abstrak Minoritas di India diurus di dalam satu lembaga namanya National Commision for Minoritysebagai bentuk mewujudkan perintah Undang-Undang, Act 1992. setidaknya disebutkan tiga minoritas yang secara umum dikenal di India dan diberlakukan affirmatif policy. Minoritas agama, selain penganut Hindu, penganut agama lain sebagai minoritas agama, berikutnya suku-suku rentan yang sulit mengakses kebijakan, ketiga adalah backward caste. Kasta terbelakang adalah isu sosial paling rumit di India, selain empat kasta mainstream, Brahman-Ksatryan-Vide-Sudras, terdapat kasta kelima yang sejatinya belum diakui. Mereka dinamakan dengan Dalit, secara sosial menempati kelas terbawah dalam kultur India. Relasi sosial yang unik terjadi antara penganut Hindu yang berkasta rendah, dengan institusi muslim cukup unik, kebijakan Aligarh Muslim University yang memberikan beasiswa masyarakat miskin dan rentan cukup memberikan arti terhadap perubahan. Meksipun sistim sosial India secara umum memengaruhi masyarakat Islam yang secara ajaran mengajarkan norma tanpa kasta, namun dalam kenyataannya muncul istilah asraf, asykal dan ajlaf. Asraf adalah level sosial tersendiri ditarik secara politik dan sejarah merupakan keturunan aristokrat dan rohaniwan Islam. biasanya identifikasi pada khan dan syed. Kolonialisme Inggris semakin memertegas demarkasi level sosial melalui East Indian British, mereka kepala pasukan Inggris yang berasal dari India diberi gelar Sir, melengkapi seperangkat identitas Syed di depan nama, kemudian Khan di belakang nama. Kemudian posisi Asykal adalah level sosial konversi wangsa Sudra, sedangkan Ajlaf adalah mereka yang hidup dalam level sosial manusia kebanyakan, strata sosial terbawah. Institusi minoritas adalah kelembagaan khusus untuk memberikan perlakukan khusus pada kelompok agama agar nantinya berada dalam kondisi yang sama dengan kebijakan secara umum. Konflik antaragama juga bagian dari isu penting untuk menggambarkan keadaan masyarakat dan kebijakan di India. Muslim umumnya menganggap Hinduisme adalah wajah kultural di India, sampai pada perspektif membaca data sensuspun mereka meyakini jumlahnya bisa lebih besar dari yang disebutkan. Belum lagi menyangkut akses pada kebijakan dan urusan politik, muslim berjuang pada kesetaraan. Dalam hal ini pendekatan affimatif dan kesetaraan berada dalam diskusi serius sepanjang penelitian dilakukan. Penelitian ini memeroleh kesimpulan bahwa kebijakan negara menyangkut penanganan minoritas agama yang sekaligus mengurusi dua minoritas lainnya cukup baik namun tidak banyak mengubah sistem sosial yang sudah berlangsung sepanjang sejarah india.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the presence of synergy between the fatwa Commission of MUI of North Maluku and other fatwa institutions within Islamic organisations in issuing a fatwa on the deviation of Ja’fariya Shi’ism of Nawawi Husni (Ong). This is also to identify factors which lead to the synergy, and conversely, other obstacles that did not lead them to synergy.The research applied qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The qualitative data is collected by using techniques of interview, documentary study, and library inquiry. The case of the study is the fatwa of MUI of North Maluku, No. 45, Year 2015 on the deviation of teaching spread by Nawawi Husni (Ong) on behalf of Ja’fariya Shi’ism.The research discovers that there was no synergy between the fatwa Commission of MUI of North Maluku and other fatwa institutions within Islamic organisations. The fatwa Commission of MUI of North Maluku did not officially involve other fatwa institutions within Islamic organisations when discussing the draft of the fatwa, well in fact, they were usually involved in the previous meetings before the idea whether the MUI need to issue a fatwa or not. This includes several factors such as 1) the emergency situation as the inter-citizen conflict had emerged; 2) it was not easy to coordinate with other fatwa institutions; 3) the have been representatives of Islamic organisations in the board of MUI of the Province of North Maluku
