<![CDATA[This paper shows the interaction of Sunni- Shia followers in Banjaran Bangsri, Jepara and the violence impact experienced by Shia followers in many regions toward Shia followers in Banjaran Bangsri.The relationship between Sunni and Shia shows a harmonious life in social interaction. They realize that they have different ways of worship but they do not want to widen those differences. They live together in socio-humanitarian relation. They respect each other. It occurs because the existence of Mbah Muhammad Arif who unified Sunni and Syiah. Mbah Muhammad Arif was the founder of Banjaran as well as the Islam disseminator at Banjaran. There is no conflict between Sunni-Shia followers although there was any religious sentiment after Sunni-Syiah conflict in Sampang Madura and it does not influence the relationship between Sunni-Syiah at Banjaran Bangsri Jepara.]]>

<![CDATA[This research applies descriptive method for describing or explaining a problem and phenomenon which exist until now. The issues discussed in this research are: 1). How is society’s view on Qadariya and Jabariya doctrines? 2). How is the role of Qadariya and Jabariya theology towards society at Bajo Fish Auction market? This result concludes that based on Islamic perspective, human deeds are interpreted into viewpoints. Human beings have a freedom and desire to do some deeds that they want. They create their deeds. It is called Qodariya doctrine. Conversely, the second group’s view point is different. They think that human beings cannot make their own deeds but God can make them. For this group, man cannot do anything, they dont have the power to do anything because they are controlled by God. Their thought is called Jabariya. Some societies of Bajo fish auction market agree to one or both of them to view those doctrines. Some of them also have different point of view towards those doctrines.]]>

<![CDATA[This research employs case study method with qualitative approach. The purpose of this research is to figure out some information related to al-Maghfurullah Foundation cases consisting of: 1). Profile of al-Maghfurullah Foundation; 2). Its religious activities; 3). Chronology of al-Maghfurullah Foundation is considered as deviant religious teaching; 4). Government and stakeholders efforts in solving al-Maghfurullah Foundation cases. The result of research shows that Kaharudin as the leader of al-Maghfurullah Foundation and teacher undertakes some deviant religious teachings and practices that lead to social upheaval and issue Indonesian Ulema Council fatwa to handle development of Kaharudin’s teaching. It can be seen that no parties deal with this cases seriously, comprehensively, systematically, and continuously.]]>

<![CDATA[Divorce is seen as the most hated halal based on Allah viewpoint stated in Hadits that Muslims must build marriage system and tradition to achieve harmonious and happy family, so the divorce can be prevented. In fact, the divorce phenomenon happens in some areas in Indonesia, particularly wifeinitiated divorce. This research focuses on three aspects. The first one is the reason of wives to propose divorce. The second is its effects and the last is social structure response towards divorce phenomenon. This study applies qualitative approach and the data collection techniques consist of interview, document analysis, and observation. The result of study shows that the loss of marriage meaning is caused by the divorce. Divorce also contributes negative impact for family life and children. However, in some certain time it can give positive impact for women because they have obvious status and do not burden to do their duty as wives.]]>

<![CDATA[Many assumptions that divorce in Indramayu are the highest number in Indonesia nowadays. It is also considered as a culture. The causes of divorce are polygamy, low education, oversea migrant worker, and early marriages. Data from religious court shows that the number of wife-initiated divorce in Indramayu is relatively high. In 2014, the number of wifeinitiated divorce is 72% while husbandinitiated divorce is 28% in Indramayu. The result shows that divorces undertaken by wives are caused some factors such as the intensity of the problem (problem severity ) faced by wife, support from their parents, psychological suffering after divorce that they feel happier with their divorce status, and the experience from their family so they understand every step in conducting wife-initiated divorce. The greatest impact of divorce is psychological suffering which they will be disappointed towards marriage. The research concludes that the current institution that mediates a divorce in Indramayu is Lebe because KUA (Religious Affairs Office), BP4 (Marriage Counseling Agency) and PA (Religious Court) are relatively ineffective.]]>

<![CDATA[This research applies survey and descriptive method with quantitative and qualitative approach. This research aims to figure out the effectiveness, supporting and inhibiting factors in conducting Hajj Manasik guidance at sub-District Religous Affair Office in Padang in 2014. The sample is 100 of 929 participants from 10 sub-District Religious Affair Offices consisting of head of sub-District Religious Affair Office/ committee, head of Hajj and Umrah department, head of Padang Religious Affairs Office and Hajj participants.The results shows that the guidance Hajj Manasik implementation 2014 in Padang City is effective in manager level while management, programs, and infrastructure need to be developed. It can be seen on the achievements of the management indicator: 75.55% manager indicator, 71.72% management indicator, 67.85% program indicator, and 69.43% infrastructure indicator. Recommendation is for General Director of Hajj and Umrah through West Sumatera Religious Affairs Office to issue the latest Religious Minister decree containing sub-District Religious Affair Office`s tasks as a Hajj consultant at sub-district level and give a service on marriage and reconciliation.]]>

<![CDATA[After determination of the joint regulation between minister of religious affairs and home affairs No.9 and 8, 2006 (PBM number 9 and 8, 2006), it does not cause the conflicts in establishing the worship house. Many studies examine the establishment of many worship houses that cause conflicts in society. This case study design with qualitative approach explores the process of renovation of GKI Kebon Cai in Cirebon after PBM No. 9 and 8,2006 is determined. This study finds that the religious and community leaders play a major role in mobilizing the citizens to support renovation committee as one of requirements to issue the building permit (IMB) for the worship house.]]>

<![CDATA[Islamic state of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) movement in the Middle East has spread to Indonesia. One of the areas that have some ISIS followers is ex-residency of Surakarta. This region has been known as a home for Islamic radical groups and some radical religious organizations that flourish. Some of terrorism cases in Indonesia, mostly the terrorists are from Surakarta. This explorative study reveals the early development of ISIS in Surakarta and how to deal with this problem. The result shows that ISIS emerges publicly in July 2014 with some indications such as ISIS symbols in public places (graffiti on city walls and ISIS’ flag) and declaration to support ISIS. ISIS symbols spread to many areas that are affiliated with a famous Islamic radical group and some figures who support ISIS. Socio-political and religious situation in Surakarta contribute to potential radical religious groups that increase ISIS development. Strategic ways to overcome ISIS development are conducting counterdiscourse to ISIS movement, promoting Islam Rahmatan lil’alamin, and creating an Indonesian religious discourse.]]>

<![CDATA[This study employs qualitative approach that aims to find out the facts about the closing of seven churches conducted by Cianjur government and it evokes some reactions from Cianjur church organization (BKSAG) by reporting that case to national comission on human rights (Komnas HAM). The study shows that the church is not the real church like the ideal church but the shopping building and houses as residential areas are used as worship houses. Those churches are banned and closed by civil service police unit (Satpol PP) because they do not have a building permit. This study also explores the different understanding on PBM 2006 about the requirements to build worship houses and late local government response to that case that occurs for long time.]]>
