This study aimed to improve students’ prosocial behaviors through Desa Bahagia (happy village) game activities. The study used experimental method with the design of one group pre-test – post-test, and employed purposive sampling technique to choose 10 students of the Eleveth Grade or Class XI in Senior High School as the research subjects. Further, based on data analysis, it was known that group counselling with Desa Bahagia game was proved effective to improve students’ prosocial behaviors, showing (z = -2.805, p < 0.01). These findings assert that group guidance with Desa Bahagia game can be an effective alternative to maximize the quality of group guidance service.

The purpose of this study was to know the effectiveness of group counseling with self-talk technique to improve students’ career aspiration and efficacy. This experimental study used pre-test – post-test group design by involving 14 students of Al Falah Vocational High School Winong Pati (SMK Al Falah Winong Pati) as the members of the group. Moreover, the research was done by testing repeated measures MANOVA showed that group counseling with self-talk technique was effective to improve students’ career aspiration and efficacy. At last, the discussion of the findings of this study is directed to assert the effectiveness of group counseling with self-talk technique to improve students’ career aspiration and efficacy.

This study aims to analyze the effect of REBT group counseling services (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) to reduce the cheating behavior of VIII grade students Public Junior High School 2 Kendal. The experimental research method uses the design of one group pre-post test. The research subjects were VIII grade Public Junior High School 2 Kendal as many as 60 students, with a sample of 7 students selected by purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of t-test analysis is understood that the effectiveness of REBT group counseling (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) to reduce cheating behavior between before and after being given treatment (t(7) = 3.925, p < 0.01). This finding confirms that group counseling with reinforcement techniques can be applied to reduce student cheating behavior.

This purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of Islamic group guidance with videos as the media can improve the students’ entrepreneurship. The design of this experimental research, with one group pre-test – post-test design. The subject of research is of 10 students with criteria of low-or-medium entrepreneurship. The hypothesis is proven using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The result of the study shows an increase of the students’ entrepreneurship between pre-test and post-test (Z = -2.52; p < 0.01). There is a significant entrepreneurship difference between pre-test and post-test where entrepreneurship at post-test is higher than pre-test, which means the implementation of group guidance with the movie as the media can improve the student's entrepreneurship. This research emphasis that the implementation of Islamic group supervision with videos as the media is effective on improving the students’ entrepreneurship.

This study aims to find out the effectiveness of group guidance based on Gayo ethnic’s cultural value to develop the students’ Islamic character. This research used a psychological scale of Islamic character which was consisted of 3 kinds: Iman, Islam, and Ihsan. The research was done in Senior High School 4 Takengon with ten students as the research subjects. The design used is one group pre-test – post-test design. The Wilcoxon data analysis showed the group guidance based on Gayo ethnics’ cultural values was effective to improve students’ Islamic character. The result showed students’ Islamic character level improved after being given the service. Group guidance was done by internalizing Gayo ethnics’ cultural value in every step of the service.

This study attempted to examine the effectiveness of cognitive behavior group counseling with cognitive restructuring technique to reduce academic anxiety. Meanwhile, the design used in this study was pre-test and multiple post-test designs. In this case, the researchers involved eight students in the eleventh grade or class XI of Public Senior High School 1 Pringgarata (SMA Negeri 1 Pringgarata). The subjects’ data were collected through statistic Achievement Emotions Questionnaire (AEQ) which was focused on class related anxiety, learning related anxiety, and text anxiety. For more, the collected data were analyzed by using repeated measure ANOVA. It resulted that there was a reduction in students’ academic anxiety (F(2.14) = 393.24, p < 0.01). These findings assert that cognitive behavior group counseling with cognitive restructuring technique is effective to reduce the academic anxiety of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Pringgarata.

This study aims to test the effectiveness of group counseling with self-talk technique and stress inoculation training technique to enhance students’ eustress. This study employed 2x2 factorial design by involving 28 students of Public Senior High School 12 Semarang. The technique of data analysis used was 2-path ANAVA test and the difference of means. The result of the study showed that group counseling with self-talk technique and stress inoculation training technique is effective in enhancing students’ eustress. This finding confirms the effectiveness of group counseling service with self-talk technique and stress inoculation training technique for students in Semarang, Indonesia.

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group counseling with Cognitive Restructuring and Self-management techniques to reduce internet addiction. For more, the study used experimental method with pre-test – post-test one group design through Mixed Anova model. This involved 14 students of Public Vocational High School 12 Surabaya (SMKN 12 Surabaya) as research subjects chosen by using purposive sampling technique. Based on Mixed Anova analysis, it was known that group counseling with Cognitive Restructuring and Self-management techniques was effective to reduce students’ internet addiction. These findings asserted that students who received group counseling with Cognitive Restructuring and Self-management techniques experienced internet addiction reduction.

The purpose of this study is to know the effectiveness of group guidance with simulation games techniques to improve student assertive behavior of Vocational High School students. This research method is an experiment using the design of one group pre-test – post-test involving 10 students who have low assertive behavior as group members. The results of this study indicate an increase in assertive behavior students before being given the game simulation technique of 84.40 (SD = 14.05) to 148.50 (SD = 8.57; t(10) = 12.29, p < 0.01). This study confirms that group guidance with simulation game techniques can be applied to improve student assertive behavior.

This study aimed to know the effectiveness of experiential learning strategy-based group counseling to improve the self-efficacy of the Tenth Grade students of Senior High School (SMA). This study used pre-test – post-test one group design by involving seven students as the sample to form a group chosen by using purposive sampling. For more, treatments for the group were done in the five times session through experiential learning strategy-based group counseling. The collected data from these treatments were analyzed by using Wilcoxson analysis. From the analysis, it was known that the experiential learning strategy-based group counseling was effective to improve self-efficacy (z = -2.366, p = < 0.05). These findings prove that experiential learning strategy-based group counseling is effective to improve students’ self-efficacy.
