Abstract

Biodiversity is a term that covers all forms of life including genes, species of plants, animals, microorganisms and ecosystems and ecological processes. Economic use of biodiversity are still oriented towards large profits without regard to environmental damage. Explore the flora and fauna species can lead to excessive scarcity and extinction of species, so that natural resources can not support human welfare. Indonesia is one country that has the richest tropical forests in the world. Tropical forests as a storehouse of biodiversity is alleged to have shrunk by more than half, even agricultural land has been degraded, both in quality and quantity. In an effort to conserve biodiversity in Indonesia is practically encouraging the process of ecological succession to create a heterogeneous environment that provides opportunities of all species can evolve naturally. These efforts by establishing a nature reserve area, conservation of natural resources include: land, water, plants and animals, conservation germplasm, land and crop rotation, and the socialization role and function of biodiversity. Support of science and technology is needed as a tool in monitoring the sustainable utilization of biological resources, and policies and legal instruments. by way of identification and inventory of biological diversity in the distribution, presence, utilization, and management systems

Abstract

A study that was aimed to analyze margin and efficiency of jasmine marketing had been conducted at Labuan Village, Martapura district of Banjar Regency. The study objects covered farmers, traders, and consumers. Qualitative analyses were performed to describe marketing channels, marketing functions, and related agencies. Quantitative analyses were used to calculate marketing margin. Results of this study showed that there had been four channels of jasmine marketing. Marketing functions that were performed by marketing agencies included trading, physical and facility functions. The highest profit made was found at channel three. The most efficient marketing process was observed at channel one (farmers-consumers)

Abstract

Oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) is the largest solid waste palm oil production. The waste pollutes the environment and waste management (EFB) has been carried out with burnt, aggravating environmental pollution. This resulted in the need for environmentally-friendly waste management. One of them uses microbes that can degrade components of the waste so that the waste can be used as compost EFB and natural mulch for agriculture. Use of microbes to degrade the waste components EFB potentially produces enzymes that accelerate the degradation lignoselulolitik EFB waste components. This research aims to study the biodegradation by a mixture of isolates of Aspergillus sp., Trichoderma sp. and Actinomycetes with the addition of some nitrogen as a nutrient source for growth microbes. The results showed that the addition of a mixture of isolates with the addition amoniumsulfat and chicken manure as a source of N can lower C / N ratio of 10 and 51.9 % of fragility, as well as lower levels of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin respectively 66 %, 36.4 % and 40.7 % of the initial levels. Abstract

Coconut oil is vegetable oil extracted from coconut flesh. Based on the content of its fatty acid, coconut oil is put into laurat acid oil group because it has the biggest content of laurat acid which is 53 % compared to other fatty acids. One of the methods of VCO extraction is the use of protease. The research method was performed by adding Tripsin enzyme having 0 %, 0.02 %, 0.04 %, 0.06 % and 0.08 % concentrate into coconut milk with various pH (3, 4, 5, 6, 7). Then it was stirred and left for about 20 hours. Finally, the oil was extracted and the laurat acid content was analyzed. The result showed that the best condition was obtained when Tripsin enzyme concentrate was 0.08 % and pH was 6 with the obtained laurat acid was 52.68 %

Abstract

Rubber Dam of Jatimlerek the including River Brantas of region middle, having wide 160 m divided 6 hole equipped that apron floor its down stream with length 12 m made of concrete. Problems that happened are well not balanced of bad material of river effect of barrage where bad material supply of river of upstream dam a little. As well as following with activity mining of sand. Impact that emerges is happened degradation of river bed especially at down stream apron floor, so that can lengthen hydraulic jump and impact scouring in down stream dam. Aim of this research is to get picture how far influence of degradation of river bed to the rubber dam which evaluated from facet of hydraulic. Result of analysis indicate that device floods control 100 year equal to 893,201 m3/s impact of hydraulic jump able to have an effect on to bad material stability river. Tractate force that happened exceed which is permitted causing movement of bad material of river and shown with existence of scouring bad of river in down stream dam in 1,97 m. Scouring river bed is also proved with analysis transportation of sediment that is KB 84 < KB 84-100 < KB 84-200. Scouring bad of river that happened continuously can influence stability dam and can generate damage (collapse) at apron floor dam

Abstract

The aim of research were to determine 1) the main source of development of Cattle raising in Sukoharjo Regency, 2) to analyse population structure of beef cattle in Sukoharjo Regency, and 3) to analyse paddy straw as animal feed sources in Sukoharjo Regency. Method wereuse in this research was a survey method. Data analysis such as follows potential development beef cattle in Sukoharjo Regency, and cattle population structure in animal unit (AU). Secondary data were collected from official of agriculture Sukoharjo Regency, National Statistical Board, and Board of National Land, and analyse in accordance with descriptive analysis. Cattle density appertain rare with score 33,43 and 2) density of exertion farmer appertain dense with score 40,85, and 3) density of region appertain average with score 0,35. Maximum potential of land resources is 42.297,3animal unit (AU), capacity increased cattle population based on land resources is 23.230,05 animal unit, capacity increased cattle population by the head of family farmers is 14.490,75 animal unit. The value of land capability index was 1,95.

Abstract

Waste agriculture (biomassa) availability in society is quite a lot but did not yet been exploited in an optimal. Biomassa as organic matters which contain hydrocarbon compound is able as source of energi like to be is ready of heat, making fuel, and power plant. Biomassa exploiting as source of alternative energi thermal can conversion by gasifikasi process. Gasifikasi is imperfect combustion process or with limited oxygen yield CO, H2 and metan gas, used as balmy and peaceful of hot energy and also for the power of diesel, turbine etc. Besides, in course of this also yielded aqueous vapour (H2O) and dioxide carbon (CO2) which do not burnt, mote and tar. Syngas biomassa is one of product gasifikasi can be mixed with diesel fuel in room burn diesel motor moving generator to yield electric power. Mixing of diesel fuel with biomassa syngas can economize usage of diesel fuel till 70% of the amount of usage initialy, its mean that if generator set required 0,4 diesel fuel litre per kWh hence by enhancing syngas result of gasifikasi process 2 kg biomassa, required diesel fuel only 0.02 l/kWh

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the temperature and duration of thawing optimally of frozen sperm of Etawa crossbred (PE) goats used in the implementation of IB conducted in Laboratory of Animal Health and Reproduction of BBPP Batu. The material used in this study was 48 straw of goat sperm in size of 0.25 ml from Central Artificial Insemination (BBIB) Singosari. This research method used completely randomized design (CRD) with 3x4 factorial and 4 times repeating. The first factor is temperature of thawing and the second factor is thawing duration. Abstract

Clinical analysis to determined the toxicity of new material could be done by biochemical analysis of wistar rat blood serum such as blood protein, albumin, and globulin content. In case of decreasing of those biochemical analysis indicated the reduction of liver function in metabolism process. Hence, this study were conducted in order to determined toxicity effect of alginate presence extracted from brown seaweed Turbinaria sp.due to the blood protein, albumin, and globulin content of wistar rat blood serum. The study were conducted by Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with alginate concentration treatment which were 0.5%; 0.75%; 1%, and negative control. The results were shown that the treatment up to 1% of alginate concentration were not provide any toxicity effect in liver organ. These result was concluded due to the blood protein, albumin, and globulin content were presently still in a safe level.

Abstract

Bakso is traditional food made from meat dan starch. Many kinds of meat can be used as main material of bakso. This research was aimed to study the effects of different kind of meats and levels of starch proportion on bakso quality. A randomized comple design with two factors, i.e. kinds of meat and levels of strach poportions was emplyed to carry out the experiment. Two treatment factors, i.e. kinds of meat (A): A1 (beef), A2 (chicken meat), and A3 (rabbit meat); and levels of starch: P1 (20%), P2 (40%), were arranged in a completely randomized design with three replicates. Results of the study showed that kind of meat and starch proportion significantly affected bakso quality. The best bakso quality, in terms of moisture, texture, and protein was obtained from chicken meat mixed with 20% starch treatment
