Abstract

One of efforts to increase tomato plant productions can be done by fertilization. Gandasil B was one of leaf fertilizer which can be used to fill P of plant so that it can increase the plant production. However, so far it has not been used for tomato plants. Therefore, it needs to do a research in order to find out the concentration and fertilization period of Gandasil B to tomato production. The research was conducted in Lowokwaru Village, Malang on March to August 2012. The research consisted of 8 treatment combinations, they are K0P1 (without treatment), K1P2 (1g/l per 1 week), K2P1 (2g/l per 1 week), K3P1 (3g/l per 1 week), K0P2 (without treatment), K1P2 (1g/l per 2 weeks), K2P2 (2 g/l per 2 weeks), K3P2 (3 g/l per 2 weeks). Each treatment was repeated four times.The research results can be concluded that there is concenration interaction and fertilization period to plant height at the age of 14 and 49 days after planting, leaves amount at the age of 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42 after planting, flowers amount at the age of 49 days after planting, branches amount at the age of 49 days after planting, and fruits amount. However, partially fertilization period treatment affects at flowering time, flowers amount at the age of 28.35 and 42 days after planting, and fruits weight. The best plant of Gandasil B fertilization results 25.98 fruits/plant with total weight of 1.23 kg/plant

Abstract

The objectives of the research were (1) to analyze the level of profit of broiler cattle business, and (2) to find out the fit of broiler cattle business of Bapak Dani’s Farm in Bocek Village, Karangploso Sub District, Malang Regency. The research was conducted at Bapak Dani’s Farm in Bocek Village, Karangploso Sub District, Malang Regency on October 10th, 2007 until November 10th, 2007. The material used in this research was one of farm in Bocek Village, Karangploso Sub District, Malang Regency. The method used in determining the respondent was by using purposive sampling. The data analyzed were primary data taken directly from the farm, and secondary data taken from related institution. Data analysis used descriptive method covering income analysis; Break Even Point (BEP), and cattle business fit analysis using R/C ratio approach. The conclusions of the research were: (1) the cost needed in broiler maintenance business in research location was IDR 13,120/broiler.; the revenue got was IDR 16,409/broiler and the income got was IDR 3,289/broiler; (2) the broiler maintenance business researched in scale of ownership of 1,500 broilers was proper to be developed since R/C ratio showed 1.25. This showed that the farmer got profit of 25% from his business. It was suggested that: (1) the farmer kept on maintaining the business pattern in order to get proper profit; (2) the government should give information program about farming pattern in a good way and give also medicines to help farmers in order to increase their production

Abstract

Organic manure of pregnant Supernasa of macro, micro nutriens and hormone grow able to be utilized by tomato crop to race growth process and result. Research aimed to study and knowing organic manure dose of Supernasa at various giving frequency on the growth and result crop tomato. The experiment used split plot design with 3 replications. Giving frequency (1, 2, 3 times) as main plots and dose fertilize Supernasa (1, 2, 3 g/l water) as sub plots. Variables observed to highly plants, leaves number, internode number, fruit number/plant and total fruit weight/plant. Result of research indicate that do not there are real interaction between treatment of dose fertilize Supernasa and giving frequincy to all variable observed. But analyse separately from each treatment indicate that treatment of dose fertilize Supernasa 1 g/l water can yield optimum result and growth so also at 1 times giving frequency, this matter is anticipated by manure of Supernasa represent dissolve solid organic manure old ones and availibility of required by nutrien is plant during which old relative

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui distribusi nitrogen dari residu tanaman (jerami padi=JP) yang diberikan ke dalam tanah. Jerami padi berlabel 15N berasal dari tanaman padi yang dipupuk dengan empat konsentrasi 15N ( urea) yang berbeda yaitu 0 mM (N0), 0,625 mM (N1), 2,5 mM (N2), dan 10 mM (N3) yang ditanam pada pot plastik berdiameter 30 cm berisi 5 kg pasir kuarsa dan ditempatkan pada green house. Setelah 8 minggu padi dipanen dan biomasnya dioven pada suhu 60oC selama 48 jam kemudian dianalisis kualitas residunya. Empat macam JP dengan konsentrasi 15N berbeda (N0; N1; N2; N3) ditambah satu perlakuan kontrol (K; tanpa residu JP) selanjutmya dipergunakan untuk dua macam percobaaan yaitu; 1. Percobaan inkubasi tidak tercuci untuk mengetahui dinamika mineralisasi N dalam tanah dan 2. Percobaan pot pada tanaman jagung dilakukan di green house pada pot ukuran 10 Kg tanah untuk mengetahui besarnya serapan N tanaman jagung dan distribusi N. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan konsentrasi 15N berbeda menghasilkan kualitas JP yang berbeda. JP mengandung N sebesar 1.05 - 2.04%,15N-excess 0.92 - 2.78%, lignin 4.24 – 23.54% dan polifenol 4.74 – 6.78%. Besarnya mineral nitrogen yang terlepas selama inkubasi 14 minggu 57.46% pada konsentrasi 10 mM (N3). Serapan N tanaman jagung 28,15% dari nilai tersebut 35.42% berasal dari JP yang diberikan dan 64.58% berasal dari N tanah

Abstract

People who live around Jangkok Watershed in Lombok in general practices agroforestry system under Community Based Forest Management (CBFM) scheme. Objective of this reseach is to estimate changes of carbon stock in relation to extension of CBFM land. This research was carried out in 2009-2010. Estimation of carbon emition is based on analysis of carbon stock changes using RaCSA (Rapid Carbon Stock Appraisal) method that consists of 2 steps: (1) Estimate temporarily land forest cover change through analysis of Landsat satellite from 1995 to 2009, (2) Measuring of carbon stock of land forest cover in various density. Based on remote sensing interpretation Within 14 year period of time, density of land forest cover in Jangkok Watershed has been changing. Forest with high density decrease 43% mean while area for moderate and low density increase by 20% and 17% respectively. Carbon stock for the forest with high density is represented by primary forest about 360 t C/ha, Mahogany forest has 395 t C/ha. Forest with moderate density found in Candlenut forest produces 161 t C/ha and in CBFM about 147 t C/ha with age of tree on average 14 years. Carbon stocking CBFM is varied, the highest was found in area with Candlenut as dominant trees (161 t C/ha), followed area by Mahogany and fruits produced 159 t C/ha, by with Cacao (146 t C/ha), dominant by fruit tree (120 t/ha). Total carbon stock in Forest areas of Jangkok Watershed (12.680 ha) is about 2.02 M t with 25.1% is from CBFM

Abstract

A study that was aimed to describe the effects of capital, selling price and labour cost on income from presto tawes fish processing business at area of Gajah Mungkur Reservoir, Wonogiri Regency was conducted at Wonogiri and Wuryantoro Districts. Thirty farmers out of 42 farmers dealing with such a business were used as respondents. Results of this study showed that capital, selling price and labour cost either simultaneously or partially affected income. Capital was the most dominant variable affecting income of presto tawes fish processing business

Abstract

This research aims to determine the variability of S4 generation between waxy corn x local yellow corn (Arjuno) based on seed color selection and cob position. The research was conducted at Kelurahan Dadaprejo, Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu with a height of ± 610 m asl, the maximum temperature is 27.4 º C and minimum temperature is 15.1 º C and with inceptisol type soil. The research started in December 2011 until March 2012. Plant materials that used here were 10 strains of S4 waxy corn from crossing with local corn (Arjuno) that have been selected based on seed color and cob location. This research used Randomized Design Group (RDG), three replications with 30 plants each genotype every replication by using one cob one line selection (ear to row). The results showed the character of plant height, the number of seed line, and the cob circumference among strains showed significant differences between inbred strains, The heritability values among strains showed medium value criteria in all parameters except the stalk length that showed the low heritability value

Abstract

One cause damage to fruit on cultivated plants is the fruit fly, Drosophila sp. Losses caused by fruit fly Drosophila sp in Indonesia is still limited. But the FAO reports that in Japan has cost approximately 32 million U.S. dollars or IDR 250 trillion to control these fruit flies. Some researchers have obtained information about the food of predators (birds nest) as an insect the size below 5 mm. This research aims to identify and isolate D. melanogaster in a natural culture medium of shoes banana, star fruit and guava as well as knowing the number of population D. melanogaster as well as calorific value, proteins, fats, carbohydrates and minerals from the artificial media. The research was conducted in the Kamangta Village, Tombulu Minahasa District with a height of 500 m above the sea surface and air temperature ranges of 26- 30°C. The research lasted 18 months, starting from August 2008 until January 2010. The results of this research are: 1). showed that the natural medium of banana shoes to give more positive responses than the guava and star fruit and 2). larvae of the fly life cycle D. melanogaster from the egg into imago is 10 days old while the change from egg to imago vary depending on environmental conditions

Abstract

Penelitian telah dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui respons dua jenis jamur kayu yaitu jamur tiram putih (Pleurotus ostreatus) dan jamur kuping (Auricularia polytrica) yang telah dibuat dengan metode tanam eksplan langsung (TEL) terhadap berbagai rasio C/N substrat yang berasal dari sampah rumah tangga. Percobaan dilaksanakan mulai Januari sampai dengan Maret 2014, di rumah jamur Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Islam Malang, Kelurahan Dinoyo, Kecamatan Klojen, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah RAL faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama jenis jamur terdiri dua taraf (jamur tiram putih dan jamur kuping). Faktor kedua rasio C/N substrat terdiri empat taraf (10, 20, 30, dan 40). Hasil percobaan dapat disimpulkan bahwa jamur tiram putih mampu tumbuh dan berproduksi lebih baik dibandingkan jamur kuping yang ditunjukkan melalui kemampuan miselium memenuhi bag-log dicapai 26,2 hari, bobot segar total badan buah dengan persamaan regresi Y = -0,4988 X2 + 36,487 X 105,37 dengan R2 = 0,9793 dan rasio C/Nopt = 36: efisiensi biologi Y = -0,85 X2 + 5,665 X 23,875 dengan R2 = 0,9518 dan rasio C/Nopt = 33

Abstract

The first purpose of the research were to identify and analyze potential of agrotourism Bukit Flora and potential area to support development agrotourism Bukit Flora. The second purpose is to identify and analize internal and external environment agrotourism Bukit Flora the factors into strengths, weaknesses, oppurtunities and threats for development  agrotourism of Bukit Flora and the last purpose in this research is formulate appropriate strategies for development strategy of agrotourism Bukit Flora.Data analysis method use descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the potential of agrotourism Bukit Flora and identify the main factors to give weight to the factors that we have setconsisting of strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats by comparing the rows and columns of each variable on internal factors (IFE) and external (EFE). While the use of qualitative analysis in the form of a SWOT analysis and SWOT matrix IE matrix is used to analyze the development of agrotourism strategy using analysisQSPM.IFE total weighted scores of 2.56 and 2.30 for EFE. Placing agro Bukit Flora is in cell V. Based on the results of the SWOT matrix analysis, it can be obtained by four alternative strategies that can be taken in the development of agro Bukit Flora. Based on the results QSPM matrix, the value of the attraction was highest at 3 strategy with the total amount of the appeal (TAS) was 6.26.
