Abstract

The roles of technology have influence on the progress of education, one of them is developed in education based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 65 of 2013 namely the use of information technology that is used to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing blog-based e-learning in improving cognitive learning outcomes and independent characters in the thematic learning of fifth grade elementary school. This study used a quasy experimental design with two classes of research objects consisting of a control and an experimental class. The sample was 63 students. The result of this research shows that was that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes and independent characters. The average increase in learning outcomes of 84% was in the very good category. In addition, the application of learning using blog-based e-learning in thematic learning makes the desire to compete enhance learning and be able to work independently is in the very high category. The average N-Gain test was of 0.49 which was in the medium category. It showed that the increase in cognitive learning outcomes in the experimental class using blog-based e-learning was more effective than the control class using google classroom.

Abstract

Students' mathematical critical thinking skills are still low, this is because the learning is still monotonous. Therefore, it is necessary to implement student-based learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the local culture-based Project Based Learning model in improving the critical thinking skills of class VIII students. This study uses a quantitative research approach. This design involved two groups of subjects, the experimental class was given treatment in the form of giving a Project Based Learning model with ethnomathematical nuances based on local wisdom, while the control class was taught using conventional learning. The sample in this study were 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. The results of this study are the effectiveness of learning using the PjBL model with an ethnomathematical nuance based on local culture in improving the critical thinking skills of eighth grade students. Value of Sig. in the experimental class, the results of 0.05 it means that H0 is rejected, in other words that the average posttest result of students' critical thinking skills classically has reached the minimum criteria completeness so that it can be said to be effective. The mean of the experimental class showed a result of 82.50, while the control class showed a result of 71.09. This shows that the average critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class is higher than the average critical thinking ability of students in the control class. The conclusion of this research is that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model Based on Local Culture is effective in improving the critical thinking skills of eighth grade students.

Abstract

Self-regulation in elementary school children is very necessary because at this age children often impose their will (desire) by demonstrating the ability to choose, perform and decide something yourself. If the child is familiar with the rules, the child will feel safer, because the child knows which actions are allowed and which are not. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of parental roles on students' interest in learning and to test how much self-regulation moderates the influence of parental roles on students' interest in learning. This study used a quantitative method. The sample in this study were 65 students from the Raden Said cluster in Kajar Village, Dawe District, Kudus Regency. The results of this study are (1) The role of parents towards their children in learning is quite good. The results of statistical tests obtained p-value of 0.020 (<0.05). It can be concluded that the role of parents has an influence on students' interest in learning; and (2) Self-regulation moderates the effect of the role of parents on students' interest in learning as indicated by changes in the r-square value, where in the first test without involving self-regulation, it is obtained 0.482 or 48.2%, while the r-square value in the second test rose to 0.570 or 57%. The conclusion from the results of this study is that the role of parents is quite good by providing support for children, paying attention to school assignments and lessons, providing additional tutoring outside of school, and shown in parental involvement in school activities.

Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan upaya mengembangkan kemampuan akademik dan pembentukan watak yang positif serta perilaku budi pekerti. Salah satu langkah yang dapat ditempuh adalah mengembangkan materi ajar cerita anak berwawasan budi pekerti. Bagaimanakah pengembangan materi ajar cerita anak berwawasan budi pekerti untuk pendidikan karakter siswa SD? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pengembangan materi ajar cerita anak berwawasan budi pekerti untuk pendidikan karakter siswa SD. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD N 02 Gayamsari Semarang dan SD N 04 Kertosari Singorojo, guru SD, dan ahli. Desian penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Variabel yang diteliti adalah hasil belajar siswa dan perilaku berbudi pekerti siswa. Data diambil dengan angket, tes, dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan dihasilkan materi ajar cerita anak berwawasan budi pekerti yang dinyatakan baik dan layak oleh ahli. Materi ajar cerita anak berwawasan budi pekerti memiliki aspek keberterimaan setelah dilakukan uji coba terbatas pada siswa SD N 2 Gayamsari Semarang dan SD N 4 Kertosari Singorojo, Kendal. Keberterimaan materi ajar cerita anak berwawasan budi pekerti dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, kemampuan menceritakan kembali, dan perilaku berbudi pekerti. Teaching is the effort to develop the academic skill and positive mind and also good deed. One of the ways to do that is developing good deed story as learning material. How to develop the good deed story for characterized education at elementary school student? The purpose of this study is to describe the development good deed story for characterized education at elementary school student. The subjects of this study are the fifth graders of SD N 02 Gayamsari and SD N 04 Kertosari Singorojo, teachers and expert. This research is regarded as research and development study. The variable of this research are the students’ score and good deed. The data is taken by questionnaire, test and observation sheet. The analysis from the expert shows that the good deed story as learning material is good and appropriate. The good deed story as learning material acquired the appropriateness after the test at the students of SD N 2 Gayamsari Semarang and SD N 4 Kertosari Singorojo, Kendal. The appropriateness of good deed story as learning material is proved by the students’ test score, students’ retelling skill, and students’ good deed.
PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BANGUN MULTIFIKSI UNTUK PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI MENULIS CERITA PENDEK SISWA SMP

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan media alternatif pemacu ide dan pengembangan imajinasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan menghasilkan karakteristik media bangun multifiksi dan mendeskripsikan peningkatan kompetensi menulis cerpen siswa SMP setelah melakukan pembelajaran dengan bantuan media bangun multifiksi. Peneliti dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan. Uji keefektifan produk pengembangan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan di tiga SMP di kota Semarang. Karakteristik/ kekhasan media bangun multifiksi, meliputi kriteria media, prosedur pengembangan media, tahap pelaksanaan pengembangan media, dan cara penggunaan media. Penggunaan media bangun multifiksi disusun dalam sebuah buku panduan penggunaan media tersebut untuk pembelajaran menulis cerpen diselaraskan dengan tujuh langkah pembelajaran menulis cerpen. Hasilnya, media bangun multifiksi dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis cerpen siswa SMP. Ujicoba di tiga lokasi menunjukkan keefektifan media berdasarkan rata-rata ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa 98.31%. This research employs the development of alternative media and imagination development. The purpose of this study is to produce the characteristic multifiction shape media and to describe the improvement of short story writing skill of junior high school students after the learning activity involve the multifiction shape media. This study is regarded as research and development study. The effectiveness test of this development product is conducted at three junior high schools in Semarang. The characteristic of multifiction shape media consist of criteria of the media, the media development procedure, the implementation of media development stage, and the way to use the media. The use of multifiction shape media is compiled in a guidance book to teach short story writing along the seven way to teach short story writing. The result of this study shows that multifiction shape media can be used to improve the junior high school students’ ability to write short story. The effectiveness test of the media shows the media is effective with the students’ average score is 98.31%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran geometri Sekolah Dasar berbasis enakktif, ikonik, dan simbolik (EIS) yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis (KBKM) peserta didik pada materi pokok luas bangun datar sederhana. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran geometri Sekolah Dasar ini menggunakan teori EIS dari Bruner dan juga menggunakan teori Piaget, Vigotsky, Dienes, Van Hiele, dan Orton. Prosedur pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design) dan hanya sampai tahap pengembangan (develop). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini meliputi: 1) Silabus; 2) Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran; 3) Buku Petunjuk Guru; 4) Petunjuk Peserta Didik; 5) Alat Peraga Manipulatif; 6) CD Pembelajaran; dan 7) Perangkat Penilaian Hasil Belajar. Semua perangkat pembelajaran tersebut dimaksudkan untuk menumbuhkan KBKM peserta didik pada materi pokok luas bangun datar sederhana. Setelah perangkat pembelajaran divalidasi oleh validator, direvisi, dan kemudian diujicobakan dalam pembelajaran dengan subjek uji coba peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sekaran 2 Kecamatan Gunungpati Kota Semarang. Hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini berupa: 1) hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran; 2) hasil pengamatan guru dan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran; dan 3) hasil angket respon guru, respon peserta didik dan hasil angket motivasi peserta didik dalam mengukuti pembelajaran. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa skor hasil belajar lebih dari kriteria keberhasilan yang ditentukan, sehingga dapat disimpulkan perangkat pembelajaran geometri Sekolah Dasar berbasis EIS pada materi pokok luas bangun datar sederhana memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. The purpose of this study is to create a valid, practical and effective; enactive, iconic, and symbolic based (EIS) based elementary school learning instrument to initiate the students’ mathematical creative thinking (KBKS) in the subject area of basic shape. This learning instrument development follows the EIS theory from Bruner and also involves theories from Piagiet, Vigotsky, Dienes, Van Hiele and Orton. The stages of this study consist of definition stage, design stage, and development stage. The learning instruments developed in this study are (1) Sillabus, (2) Lesson Plan, (3) Teacher Guidance Book, (4) Student Guidance Book, (5) manipulative demo tool, (6) learning compact disk and (7) student instrument assessment. Those instruments are aimed to initiate the students’ KBKM at the subject area of basic shape. After it is validated by validator and revised, the learning instruments are tested at the fifth graders students of SekolahDasarNegeriSekaran 2 KecamatanGunungpati Semarang. The result of this study shows (1) validation result of learning instrument, (2) observation report of the teacher’s and student’s activity, (3) the questionnaire result from the teacher and students and also the result of students’ motivation in learning process questionnaire. The analysis shows students’ score is greater that the given minimum passing criteria, thus I conclude the based EIS elementary school learning geometry instrument acquire the validity, practical and effective to initiate the mathematical creative thinking.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menciptakan instrumen matematika yang baik belajar dalam bentuk kurva tepi volume pada siswa kelas sembilan. Prosedur dikembangkan meliputi tahap analisis pra, panggung perancah analisis, pelaksanaan (konstruksi) tahap, tahap tes, evaluasi, revisi dan implementasi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 36 siswa kelas sembilan mahasiswa IX.6 Kelas SMP 1 Wonokerto Pekalongan pada tahun 2011/2012. Instrumen untuk mengumpulkan penilaian validator data terdiri dari RPP, buku siswa, LKPD, Uji yang bertujuan untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikatif matematika; lembar observasi RPP pelaksanaan; kuesioner terhadap kuesioner, guru kepada siswa, dan siswa lembar kegiatan penilaian; ini analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan hasil penelitian. Skor perkembangan hasil instrumen penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata rencana pembelajaran (RPP) adalah 3,74; siswa ‘buku rata-rata adalah 3,80; siswa lembar kerja rata-rata adalah 3,80, dan rata-rata skor tes adalah 3,85, dengan kata lain belajar instrumen valid. Kegiatan belajar menggunakan ‘dua tinggal dua nyasar’ pembelajaran kooperatif tipe oleh konstruktivisme praktis, hal itu dibuktikan oleh beberapa bukti yaitu (1) lebih dari 80% RPP diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan belajar (2) guru memberikan respon yang baik untuk kegiatan pembelajaran dan ( 3) respon positif siswa untuk lebih dari 80%. Efektivitas kegiatan belajar diperoleh oleh bukti yaitu (1) siswa rata-rata aktivitas lebih dari 75, (2) siswa skor lulus KKM dengan nilai kelulusan klasik selama lebih dari 75 skor (3) Rata-rata dari kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol (4) kegiatan pembelajaran memiliki pengaruh kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa untuk 56,2%. Titik rata-rata pengembangan komunikasi matematika kelas eksperimen ‘adalah 0,71. The purpose of this study is to create a good mathematics learning instrument in the curve edge volume shape at ninth graders. The development procedure consists of pre analysis stage, scaffolding analysis stage, implementation (construction) stage, test stage, evaluation, revision and implementation. The subjects of this study are 36 ninth graders students of IX.6 Class of SMP 1 Wonokerto Pekalongan at the year 2011/2012. Instruments to collect the assessment validator data consists of RPP, students’ books, LKPD, Test which has purpose to measure the mathematical communicative proficiency; observation RPP implementation sheet; questionnaire to the teacher, questionnaire to the students; and students activity assessment sheet; The data analysis employs descriptive and qualitative approach to the result of research. The score of development of instrument research result shows the average score of lesson plan (RPP) is 3.74; the students’ books average score is 3.80; students’ worksheet average score is 3.80; and the test average score is 3.85; in other words the learning instrument is valid. Learning activities using cooperative learning ‘two stay two stray’ type by the practical constructivism, it is proved by some evidences namely (1) more than 80% RPP implemented in learning activities (2) teacher give a good response to the learning activities and (3) students’ positive response for more than 80%. The effectiveness of learning activities is acquired by the evidence namely (1) the students’ activity average is more than 75; (2) the students’ score pass the KKM by the classical passing grade for more than 75 (3) The average score of experimental class is greater than control class (4) Learning activities has the influence of the students’ mathematical communication proficiency for 56.2%. The average point of the development of experimental class’ mathematical communication is 0.71.

Abstract

Pengawasan Pengajaran didefinisikan sebagai proses memberikan bantuan profesional kepada guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru mengelola proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar subjek sains di SMP mengajar instrumen SMA mempekerjakan pengawasan dengan diskusi rekan yang sesuai dengan metode pengajaran guru dalam mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan. Kendala penelitian tindakan adalah peningkatan subjek pengajaran sains di sekolah rekan pengawasan melalui SMP diskusi mengajar. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan evaluasi untuk kegiatan mengajar subjek ilmu di Semarang SMP Negeri 29 Kota. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hal itu dapat meningkatkan proses ilmu subjek belajar. Bukti adalah bahwa ada peningkatan kinerja guru dari siklus pertama sampai siklus kedua. Saya sarankan mengajar instrumen pengawasan dengan diskusi rekan untuk secara rutin dilakukan setidaknya pada awal semester karena dapat memperbarui proses pengajaran di sepanjang kondisi, situasi tertentu dan masalah guru. Teaching supervision is defined as the process of giving professional help to the teacher to improve teacher’s ability to manage effective and efficient learning process. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning process quality of science subject at junior high school employing teaching supervision instrument with colleague discussion which is appropriate with the teachers’ teaching method in science subject. The constraint this action research is the improvement of teaching science subject at junior high school trough colleague discussion teaching supervision. The data collection method employs observation and evaluation to the teaching activity of science subject at SMP Negeri 29 Kota Semarang. The result shows that it can improve the learning science subject process. The evidence is that there is an improvement of teacher performance from first cycle to the second cycle. I suggest teaching supervision instrument with colleague discussion to be routinely conducted at least at beginning of semester because it can update the teaching process along the certain situation, condition and problem of the teacher.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan instrumen matematika melalui strategi TTW pembelajaran dalam metode pembelajaran kooperatif untuk meningkatkan representasi matematis siswa kemampuan untuk membuat instrumen pembelajaran yang valid, efektif dan praktis. Instrumen pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri dari sillabus, rencana pembelajaran (RPP), ‘buku, lembar kerja siswa (LPKD) dan uji tes kemampuan matematika siswa representasi. Saya memilih model Thiagarajan oleh Semmel dan Smmel sebagai model pembangunan dengan modifikasi. Instrumen pembelajaran divalidasi oleh ahli sebelum saya menerapkan di VIII-A kelas. Analisis data menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berlaku sebagai efidence menunjukkan rentang yang valid dari skor rata-rata penilaian validitas dan sehingga dapat digunakan dengan beberapa revisi. Efektivitas belajar instrumen diperoleh karena siswa lulus uji kemampuan representasi matematika, intens aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, dan peningkatan siswa representasi matematis tes kemampuan setelah perawatan menggunakan strategi TTW. Instrumen pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah praktis sebagai bukti menunjukkan skor rata-rata belajar implementasi adalah 4,4 yang berarti titik yang baik pada kategori pelaksanaan, guru dan respon positif siswa untuk instrumen belajar dan kegiatan belajar. Saya berharap guru mampu mengembangkan instrumen pembelajaran dalam mata pelajaran lain di sekolah. The purpose of this study is developing the mathematics learning instrument trough TTW strategy in cooperative learning method to improve the students’ mathematical representation ability to create valid, effective and practical learning instrument. The learning instrument which are developed consist of sillabus, lesson plan (RPP), students’ book, students’ worksheet (LPKD) and test of students’ mathematical representation ability test. I choose Thiagarajan model by Semmel and Smmel as the development model with modification. The learning instrument is validated by expert before I implemented in VIII-A class. The data analysis employs descriptive statistical method. The result of the study shows that the developed learning instrument is valid as the efidence shows valid range of the average score of validity assessment and so it is able to be used with some revision. The effectiveness of learning instrument is acquired because students’ pass the mathematical representation ability test, the intense of students activity in learning process, and the improvement of students’ mathematical representation ability test after the treatment using TTW strategy. The developed learning instrument is practical as the evidence shows the average score of learning implementation is 4.4 which means good point at implementation cathegory, the teacher’s and student’s positive response to the learning instrument and learning activities. I hope teachers are able to develop learning instrument in the other subject at school.

Abstract

Kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari Fisika dapat terjadi karena cara guru menyampaikan pelajaran. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan rasa senang adalah physics-edutainment berbantuan CD pembelajaran interaktif. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dengan model Four-D, yang meliputi tahap definition (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan) dan disseminate (penyebaran). Pengumpulan data dengan tes, observasi dan angket. Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan dari 59,84 menjadi 72,04. Uji signifikansi hasil belajar kognitif kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai thitung = 10,14 dan harga ttabel = 1,68; dapat dikatakan hasil belajar kognitif mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Analisis uji kesamaan rata-rata nilai kognitif kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh thitung=3,911 dan ttabel = 1,67; dapat dikatakan bahwa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Minat siswa mengalami peningkatan dari 56,2 dengan kategori berminat menjadi 66,1 dengan kategori sangat berminat. Dari hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan physics-edutainment berbantuan CD pembelajaran interaktif mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar dan minat siswa. The way teacher to conduct the lesson can cause the students’ difficulties in learning Physics. I expect physics-edutainment with interactive learning compact disk can initiate the happy feeling. The Four-D learning development instrument consists of definition stage, design stage, development stage, and disseminate stage. The data collection employs test, observation and questionnaire. There is an improvement of experimental class score from 59.84 to 72.04. The experimental class’ score significance test has value tcount = 10.14 and the value of ttable = 1.68; in other words, there is a significant improvement of cognitive score. Analysis of the experimental class’ and control class’ average cognitive score similarity is tcount = 3.911 and ttable = 1.67; in conclusion, the experimental class is better than control class. The students’ attentiveness improve from score 56.2 of interested category to score 66.1 of very interested category. From the analysis result of this study we can conclude that learning instrument using physics-edutainment with k is able to improve the students’ score and interest.
