When the box culvert system is placed on a sandy soil layer with a relatively low bearing capacity and is disposed to potential liquefaction, the soil layer must be repaired to avoid damages to the box culvert structure. The proposed method is Geosynthetic Encased Stone Columns (GESC) to increase the bearing capacity and anticipated the liquefaction potential. however, to meet the criteria for a stable and safe GESC soil improvement in liquefaction conditions, the value of the settlement must meet the requirements for the settlement permit limit. This research was conducted to determine the potential for liquefaction at the study location, to calculate the value of single and group settlements in liquefaction conditions and to analyze the stability of single and group settlements including safe or unsafe in liquefaction conditions. Analysis of liquefaction potential was analyzed based on SPT data using the Valera and Donovan method, and settlement analysis applied the Almeida and Alexiew method. The analysis shows that potential liquefaction due to an earthquake with a magnitude of 9.0 SR will be at a depth of 4 to 8 m. Single and group settlements (144 sets) with an installation distance of 1.2 m with a diameter of 0.4 m and at a depth of 10 m are 246.23 and 214.92 mm, respectively. The entire GESC system is considered to be in an unstable and unsafe condition against potential liquefaction and box culvert loading.

Adsorption refrigeration systems become promising alternative cooling technology for refrigeration and air conditioning applications. Thermal energy is a primary source of such systems for producing cooling capacity with less electricity usage compared to vapour compression systems. Solar energy with free-access and abundant availability in the tropics have great potential as a renewable heat source to drive the adsorption refrigeration systems through direct conversion from solar irradiation to the thermal energy. This paper describes experimental work on the performance of a solar adsorption refrigerator working with activated carbon/methanol pair in Bali area. The solar refrigerator has an adsorber with an effective surface area of 0.259 m2 enclosed in a double-glazed collector box. The cooling load of the evaporator is 1 kg of water sited inside a cooler box of 0.37 x 0.25 x 0.345 m size. The experimental tests were performed outdoor to determine system cooling capacity and solar COP. Test results indicated that the refrigerator capable of bringing down water temperature at 18 ⁰C, while the system cooling capacity and COP reach 47.5 kJ and 0.046. Moreover, it is supposed that the solar adsorption refrigerator can be applied to pre-cooling post-harvest agricultural products, mainly tomatoes, before distribution to the grocery stores or end consumers.

The frame is one of the most important parts in a series of constituents of a bicycle. The materials for making bicycle frames usually use tight and strong materials such as stainless steel, carbon and titanium. Mild steel is steel with low carbon, which is about 0.05-0.30%. After conducting a tensile test on the mild steel material used on the handcycle bicycle frame, the highest stress results were 1,093.87 N/mm² and the highest strain was 0.167%. For the results of stress analysis contained in the autodesk inverter, the von mesess results are obtained for men weighing 70 kg von mesess maximum 1400 mpa and women weighing 60 kg 1200 mpa. The maximum displacement generated for men weighing 70 kg 96.63 mm and women weighing 60 kg 82.83 mm. For the safety factor obtained based on the safety number from Dobrovolsky for static loads, the safety number is 1.25-2; dynamic load 2-3 shock load 3-5 while the safety rate that occurs in the load is 0.15 for men weighing 70 kg and 0.16 for women weighing 60 kg. So the handcycle bikes that we made are safe to ride because the results obtained are still below existing standards

High-rise buildings are at risk of collapse due to the earthquake. One method for analyzing earthquake loads is Pushover. Pushover is a non-linear static analysis to determine the behavior of a building collapse. This research was conducted to determine the performance of the setback building with a soft first story due to the earthquake based on the results of the pushover analysis curve. The structure is modeled as a 2-dimensional portal with a form of structural irregularity (setback with the soft first story) which consists of 2 structural models with different setback area ratios. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the maximum shear force based on capacity curves in type 1 and type 2 buildings are 50260549.81 N and 53560488.63 N. Buildings with smaller setback area ratios, i.e., type 2 buildings have displacement, story drift, and base shear are more significant than type 1 buildings. Performance of type 1 and Type 2 building structures that refer to ATC-40 and FEMA 356 is at the Damage Control level.

The study aims to observe the diffusion process which is influenced by different velocity and fluid concentrations. Using a microfluidic system and the diffusion process through a reverse osmosis membrane. The research was carried out by flowing fluid into the microchannel. The diffusion process is known by measuring and analyzing the density of liquid waste aquades-trimethylene glycol. The results showed the amount of diffusion through the membrane was influenced by flow velocity and fluid concentration. this is because the velocity of the flow produces pressure on the wall so that it pushes the fluid to diffuse through the membrane.

CV. Pine Bag’s Specialist is a business engaged in the manufacturing of various types of bags. One of the bags made in the form of a backpack. Parachute fabric is the main raw material for making backpacks. Uncertain demand causes a lot of accumulation (over stock) of raw materials in the storage area, so we need a method of supporting raw material inventory control to determine the optimal order. The research objective determines the optimal ordering of raw materials using variable raw material demand, raw material inventory variables and ordering variables in January the first week to March the fourth week. The Fuzzy Mamdani method used in this study because it has a flexible nature and can overcome the problem of uncertainty. The data processing of the Fuzzy Mamdani method carried out in several stages (a) the formation of the Fuzzy set, (b) the application of the implication function, (c) the composition of the rules, (d) Defuzzification. Defuzzification in research uses the centroid method. The results of Fuzzy Mamdani's manual calculation in January of the first week with input of raw material demand of 666 meters and 126 meters of inventory resulted in an optimal prediction of ordering raw materials of 876 meters. Calculations for January the second week to March the fourth week are performed with the help of the Matlab R2013a Fuzzy Toolbox software. The results of prediction data evaluation on the number of raw material orders Fuzzy Mamdani with actual data on the raw material number ordering CV. Pine Bag’s Specialist, it is known that the average absolute error (MAE) is 193.8 meters with an average percentage of absolute error (MAPE) of 22%. So, it is said that the level of accuracy of predictions is reasonable. Future research is expected in the Fuzzy Mamdani method can be used more than two inputs and one output and the addition of linguistic variables. Combine the Fuzzy Mamdani method with other raw material inventory control methods so that the results obtained are getting better.

In the program of mechanical engineering, the software used to draw is Autodesk Inventor. Autodesk inventor is a CAD program in the program of engineering that is applied to the design of mechanics in 3D. In designing a tool, of course, it is preceded by a planned design concept. In making a design a tool requires a process or steps for making the design. These steps include the size, dimensions, and materials used in making organic waste chopper tool. The drawing process uses the 2015 Autodesk Inventor program, the first is the making of sketches, components on the machine, followed by assembly of each component, then rendering images, animation as the final stages of drawing design input into "IDW" complete with size, scale, material. Image projection to make it easier for designers to make tools. Drawings of plan and complete details covering the scale dimensions will be able to simplify the manufacturing process (production) of the components of the tool and can reduce the risk of errors in the process of making tools.

The application of flat plates to the field of wind harvesting requires a lot of research toward the understanding of the flutter behavior of the plates. There are shortages of articles that discuss the effect of varying the angles of attack to the flutter speed of a flat plate. This research aims to conduct a basic experimental research on the effect of relative position of a thin-flat plates to the direction of the air flow to its flutter speed. In this study, a thin-flat plate was placed in a subsonic wind tunnel to test its flutter speed. The position of the plate was varied in various angles of attack. The effect of the angles of attack to the flutter speed was observed.
