Abstract

Purple sweet potato flour as a food ingredient has not been optimally used in the diversification of food processing, while the purple sweet potato flour can be an alternative to replace some of the flour as the main ingredient of bread This study aimed to analyze the effect of substitution of purple sweet potato flour as much as 5 %, 10% and 15% of the wheat flour used for external quality and internal quality as well as hedonic on bread. The research is a pure experiment with completely randomized design method using three times replication with 30 panelists. The results showed that the purple sweet potato flour substitution effect on the external quality (volume, rectangular shape and form neat) and internal quality (soft texture and smooth texture) which is generally the best value found in the treatment of 5% (X1) and the effect on the quality internal (pore color, aroma of purple sweet potato and taste of purple sweet potato) are generally the best value found in the treatment of 15% (X3), but had no effect on the quality of the external (skin color) and internal quality (aroma yeast). In the hedonic test (favorite) the panelists preferred the substitution of 5% (X1) than the other treatments.Keywords: substitution, purple sweet potato flour, white bread quality

Abstract

The reseach aims to know the quality of waitres service in Cinnamon Poolside Restaurant Hotel D`oxville Padang review from 5 indicators of quality services which are: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The research type is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research are all customers who had eat or drink in Cinnamon Poolside Restaurant Hotel D`oxville Padang with the number of the average guest as much as 621 people. The sampling in this study is purposive sampling as many as 86 people. The data collection are done by questionnaires using the scale of likert and has been tested the validity and reliability. This research result indicates that overall the quality of service in the Cinnamon Poolside Restaurant Hotel D`oxville Padang is good with 56,98% of the respondents declared as good and 34,88% of the respondents declared as enough.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development strategy (strength, weaknesses, opportunities, treats) Recreational facilities (outdoor) Attraction above Solok regency of West Sumatra future. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data. Data was collected using interviews, observation, and documentation involving informants using Snowball Sampling technique, that is: Attraction manager above, attractions surrounding communities, as well as tourists. The results of this study show that: 1). The strength or carrying capacity of recreational facilities (outdoor) Lake Above attraction is has a large area, a beautiful natural scenery, cool and pristine, a strategic place that is easily accessible, abundant water resources of the lake. 2). The disadvantage is the limited local government budget, the lack of assistance from the government, the lack of professional workforce, yet their investors, the lack of maintenance of existing recreational facilities. 3). Chances are their outside investors, increasing tourist arrivals, the cooperation of local governments and the central government, the cooperation of immigrants and native son. 4). The threat is a discrepancy with custom behavior style diners around, traveler awareness to keep the attraction, Attraction competition alike, the development of other tourist attractions. The development strategy of recreational facilities (outdoor) Attractions Lake Above Solok regency of West Sumatra are: 1). Utilizing the natural potential to increase the number of tourist visits. 2). Boosting cooperation between local government, Central government, nomads, sons of the soil, 3) Developing and providing recreational facilities (outdoor). 4). Increase potentials owned attraction above the lake so as not to lose competitiveness with surrounding attractions. 5). Incentive to find investors and raise funds from both private and related institutions. 6. Develop and allocates the budget for the development of recreational facilities attraction above lake.Keywords: Strategy, Development, Recreation Facilities.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to know and revealed how motivation work andemployee performanceAnd the influence of Work Motivation on EmployeePerformance of operational departement, This research is quantitative descriptiveresearch with causal associative method. Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of standard operating procedures make up room by roomboy at Daima Hotel Padang. This study consisted of 7 indicators of procedures, namely: tap the entrance to the room, open the window curtains, striping, making beds, cleaning the bath room, dusting and rechecking. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data. The population in this study consists of 3 people. The collection of observation data to guide the interview. The results showed that the application of standard operating procedures make up room in Hotel Daima Padang has made 100% from 3 roomboy have done well and correctly. While based on each indicator: in particular indicator window curtains open, striping, making beds, dusting and rechecking already applied by all roomboy. While the knock on the door before entering the room and cleaning the bath room only 66.66% roomboy that implement them properly. Keywords: Make Up Room

Abstract

This study originated from the fact that occurred in SMK Negeri 1 IV Angkek Agam District, where many students are not able to make the patterns correctly. This study aims to find out how big the obstacles faced by students in taking body size and pattern making on subjects making patterns with construction techniques.Population and samples in this study were students of class XI dressmaking subjects totaling 24 people. Data collection in this study conducted by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires totaled 50 item. Data analysis technique used is the percentage of technique and performance levels. The results show that constraints on the subjects students create patterns with construction techniques in SMKN 1 Agam District IV Angkek still pretty. This is evident from the level of achievement of the measure gain of 76.77% and 78.84% for pattern making, this means that students still find obstacles in subjects making patterns. Expected results of this study for teachers and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the patterns, materials, weaving techniques and types of products in woven Kubang. This research is descriptive qualitative research method .The type of data in the form of primary and secondary data.The technique of collecting data through observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques with interactive model analysis techniques relating to the subject matter that is the data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research are woven motifs Kubang there are 23 types. The motive there that comes from plants, animals and objects. Thread woven material that is lungsi, and the weft yarn making motive. Weaving technique originally prepare tools and materials. Before the weaving process begins there are some processes that need to be done are: mangumpa, menghani, mengarok, menyuri and connecting threads and menuring. After all the process completed before the weaving process begin. The products produced by the weave Kubang is baju kurung, a skirt, scarf, abaya ,koko ,dress shirt, sarong ,songket and children clothing .     Kata kunci: tenunan Kubang, kecamatan guguak

Abstract

This research was motivated by the utilization of sago flour which is used in diversification of food processing, while sago flour can be one alternative to replace some of flour as the main ingredient of pie skin. This study aims to analyze the influence of substitution of sago flour as much as 25%, 50% and 75% to the quality of pie skin in terms of shape, color, aroma, texture and taste. This type of research is a pure experiment using a completely randomized design method. The data used were primary data sourced from 30 semi-trained panelists by proposing the organoleptic test format. Analyze data using ANAVA, if FCcount> FTable then proceed with Duncan test. The result of this research is significant influence from the use of sago flour to the quality of pie skin with the use of sago flour as much as 75% produce the best quality pie skin, including brownish yellow color, to the quality of sago aroma and for the taste of sago. Abstract

Computer applications courses mandatory for students dressmaking Family Welfare Department, but there is no module as media student learning, so that students are less active and creative in the PBM. This study aims to generate media forms of learning modules that can help students dressmaking Department of Family Welfare in learning computer applications to design decorative materials using CorelDRAWX4 program. Research also gain an overview of the feasibility of the learning module as a learning medium of computer applications, including the validation module and the practicalities of the module.This study is a Research and Development (R & D) is a research method used to produce a particular product and test the feasibility of the product. In this case a learning module. This learning module is tested its validity by 4 people validator experts in media and materials and tests performed on the practicalities of S1 students dressmaking class of 2014 the number of 18 people. The steps undertaken in the development of this learning module are: 1) define phase. 2) design phase, 3) stages develop. At this stage of the development of data analysis, namely: 1) the validity of the data analysis module, 2) data analysis module practicalities. Data analysis techniques used by calculating the mean.Based on the research results, test the validity of the obtained scores of 4.31 validator can be categorized as very valid. While the practicalities of the test results performed to a small group of students obtained a score of 3.21 categorized as very practical while testing the practicalities of a large group obtained a score of 3.54 categorized as very practical. These modules are in decent Criteria used as a medium of learning courses computer applications student dressmaking Family Welfare Department, Faculty of Engineering University of Padang on designing decorative materials using CorelDRAW X4 program.Kata kunci: Pengembangan Modul , aplikasi komputer, mendesain ragam hias menggunakan progrgram CorelDRAW X4

Abstract

This research aims to determine the internal factors and external factors of the Panorama Tabek Patah and then devise the strategic planning activities of nature tourism in Panorama Tabek Patah. This research is descriptive research with qualitative and quantitative data. The technique of data collection is done using the method of observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation The sample of this research are some of the informants consisting of the Department of culture Tourism Youth and Sports (3 people), the Manager of Panorama Tabek Patah (1 person) community around tourist attraction (3 people), as well as visitor at the attractions (65 people) by using purposive sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed by reduction of the data, the presentation of data, conclusions and taking a level percentage of achievement of the respondentsStrategic planning for nature tourism activities that will be developed are: 1. Making a spot at the place to enjoy the sights, promoting sightseeing activities as one of the competitive activities and prepare a tourguide that can guide tourists in conducting activities sightseeing. 2). Making tracks for hiking, training the community on a regular basis, utilizing the community or youth nagari to maintain the security of hiking activities, create routes and codes regarding hiking. 3. Reviving the activities of the flying fox, making a collaboration with tourism and the local government. Strategic planning of tourist activity in Panorama Tabek Patah with interpretation 63.07% with range score ≥ 61.75. While based on each sub activity indicators of tourist sightseeing with a score of 13.38, hiking with a score of 16.25 and flying fox by a score of 16.25 by category strongly agree.Keywords: Strategic Planning, activity outdoors
