Abstract

This research aims to know the implementation of quality assurance program in basic education which focused on need analysis, vision, mission and scholl purpose. In order to assure the quality, human resources preparation, program achievement process, quality assurance program achievement, and financial education. This research used evaluation method by using DEM which using descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection prosedure using interview, observation, and documentation. Research informan are headmaster, teachers, staff, student, and scholl committe. Data validity using data source and method triangulation. The result of this research shown that the implementation of quality assurance program for need analysis, vission, mission, and scholl purpose very good. Human resource have been good. Quality assurance achievement very good. Financial which related with program reports and controlling very good. So, me can conclude that the implementation of quality assurance classified into good category.   Keywords : program evaluation, quality assurance

Abstract

The research objectives was to study the effect of power, the propensity for risk, and innovation systems to the decision making of the principals of senior high school accredited “A” DKI Jakarta. The research method used quantitative approach with survey method. The samples research were 148 principals of senior high school as respondents who were selected through simple random sampling. Process for the research result has been used path analysis. The result of the research can be concluded (1) there was a positive direct effect of power to decision making, (2) there was a positive direct effect of propensity for risk to decision making, (3) there was a positive direct effect of the innovation systems to decision making, (4) there was a positive direct effect of the power to the innovation systems and (5) there was a positive direct effect of risk propensity to innovation systems. Therefore, variations in the principal's decision making is influenced by variations of power, the propensity for risk, and innovation systems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study the influence of leadership, self-efficacy, and work engagement on high school teachers’ professional commitment at Siak Regency of Riau Province. This research uses the quantitative approach with the survey method. The population in this study were 96 high school teachers in Siak Regency of Riau Province. The results of this study indicate that; (1) There is a direct positive influence of leadership on high school teachers’ professional commitment. (2) There is a direct positive influence of self-efficacy on high school teachers’ professional commitment. (3) There is a direct positive influence of work engagement on high school teachers’ professional commitment. (4) There is a direct positive influence of leadership on self-efficacy. 5) There is a  direct positive influence of leadership on work engagement. (6) There is a direct positive influence of self-efficacy on work engagement.  Thus, the improvement of high school teachers’ professional commitment can be achieved well if there is strong influence from leadership, self-efficacy, and work engagemen which are well built. Abstract

Abstract The objective of the study was to evaluate the implementation of the prevention/early detection program of breast and cervical cancer.  The type of research is Program Evaluation implementing CIPP model, the research methodology is qualitative, aimed to describe and analyze the phenomena, events, social activities, beliefs, perceptions, and people’ thoughts either individually or in groups.  The research started from May until December 2016.  Data collection techniques employs documentation studies, interviews, observation, and active participation. The technique uses protocol research.    Data analysis is done by conducting tests or data validity assessment, classification of data based on sub focus and research questions, combination of data in matrix or table form, making data-based conclusions and triangulation strategies.  The evaluation results of the implementation of breast and cervical cancer early detection program, being carried out starting from the objectives until the enactment and monitoring is said to be good enough, but not yet up to the standard of evaluation criteria that have been set. Recommendations are addressed to the Health Department and its staffs in order to increase stakeholder involvement in planning, and in cancer detection process is expected to be in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) so that the expected program objectives can be achieved.   Key Words:   Early detection of cancer, cervical cancer, breast cancer, evaluation of program.

Abstract

This research was carried to look at the quality of the 9-year primary education at the primary schools under the responsibility of PT Windu Nabatindo Lestari Bumitama Gunajaya Agro , a palm oil plantation in Central Kalimantan. The four standards measured are (1) competence of the graduates, (2) teachers and supporting staff, (3) facilities and infrastructures, and (4) costs. The company is responsible for increasing the standard quality of education within the plantation through its Corporate Social Reaponsibility (CSR) which targets education in the platation areas. This research uses qualitative method; data collection was done through observation, interviews, school documents, database, and note taking. The results shows that not all minimum indicators of the standards met the requirements, such as, there was no career tracks for teachers and supporting staff, budget was allocated more on operational coats. Facilities ad infrastructures were far from adequate for a quality education.

Abstract

THE EFFECTS OF SCHOOL SELF-`EVALUATION, QUALITY POLICY, QUALITY PLANNING, AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ON QUALITY ASSURANCE OF STATE JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN JAKARTA MUHAMAD EFENDI Education Management Study Program, postgraduate faculty, State University of Jakarta, Indonesia   ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of school self-evaluation, quality policy, quality planning, and quality improvement on the quality assurance of State Junior Secondary Schools in Jakarta. The population of this study is two hundred and eighty nine state junior secondary schools. Empirical data was drawn from the research sample were collected by using questionnaires that have been checked for validity and reliability distributed to one hundred and sixty five state junior secondary schools. The data was analyzed using statistical package for social science (SPSS V.20) and Microsoft Excel package and it was presented in tables and bar graphs. The results of this study revealed: 1) Three factors have a significant direct positive effect on quality assurance are quality policy, quality planning, and quality improvement of State Junior Secondary Schools in Jakarta. 2) School self-evaluation has a significant direct positive effect on quality policy, quality planning, and quality improvementof State Junior Secondary Schools in Jakarta.3) The Quality policy has a significant direct effect on quality planning, and quality planning has a significant direct effect on quality of State Junior Secondary Schools in Jakarta. The researcher recommended the deployment of a culture of school self-evaluation activities, and all stakeholder play an active role in supporting the quality policy established by the school leadership and implement the quality plan as planned and educators to always improve the quality of learning and teaching in order to improve the quality of education in school. Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the effect of the transformational leadership, organizational support, knowledge sharing and employee Engagement to innovative work behavior of teachers at private shipping vocational schools in Jakarta. Quantitative Method was used in this research as well as Survey Method. The samples of this research were one hundred and twenty three teachers selected randomly out of one hundred and sixty five teachers. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires and were analyzed by using the path analysis. It can be concluded from the result of the research that: 1) the transformational leadership, organizational support and employee Engagement had a direct positive effect on innovative work behavior; 2) the transformational leadership, knowledge sharing and organizational support had a direct positive effect on employee Engagement; and 3) the transformational leadership and organizational support had a direct positive effect on knowledge sharing. Therefore, to improve innovative work behavior of teachers, the transformational leadership, organizational support and employee Engagement should be improved.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the marks of Junior High School students from Central Jakarta are lower than other students from other Jakarta areas, which is suspected as the impact of the lack of effectiveness of teacher’s work. This research aims to determine whether or not the influence of supervision, integrity and trust on the effectiveness of teachers in Public Junior High School in Central Jakarta region. Survey method was used with quantitative research using path analysis to analyze the influence of one variable to other variables. The sample in this research were 114 teachers with civil servant status at Public Junior High School  in Central Jakarta region which was taken at random. The results of data analysis show that supervision, integrity, and trust have a direct positive effect on the effectiveness of teachers of Public Junior High School in Central Jakarta region.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to study about the curriculum management at the Elementary School of Buin Batu that includes the curriculum planning, curriculum organization, curriculum implementation, and curriculum evaluation. It is a Case Study Research using a qualitative approach. Data obtained through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation with the research informants comprising the school principal, academic coordinator and curriculum coordinator. The data collected was analyzed through the process of data reduction, display, verification and conclusion drawing. The results of the research show that the Elementary School of Buin Batu has a curriculum planning that consists of Curriculum Mapping, Scope and Sequence, Program of Inquiry, Unit of Inquiry, and Unit Planner; a curriculum organization that includes Curriculum Structure, Teacher Assignment, Developing Transdisciplinary Program, Determining Unit of Inquiry for Each Year Level; a curriculum implementation that includes Teaching and Learning Experiences, Assessment and Reporting; and a curriculum evaluation that covers Unit Review and Subject Review.
