Abstract

Learning media is a tool that can help the teaching and learning process so that the meaning of the message conveyed becomes clearer and the goals of education or learning can be achieved effectively and efficiently. The results given to students in the form of an assessment after following the learning process with the value of knowledge, attitudes, skills in students with changes in behavior can also be called student learning outcomes. One source of student learning to obtain messages and information provided by the teacher so that learning materials can be further improved and form knowledge for students is using Learning Media. In this study, researchers used research and development (R&D) methods, and the ADDIE development model. This interactive learning media is designed using the Lectora application. The results of this study are the effectiveness of the media using time series results of student learning mastery increased by 20% effectively to improve student learning outcomes through tests. A score of 0.52 was obtained in the medium category.

Abstract

Coatings are the most common corrosion control practice. Therefore, it is very important to discover the most cost-effective and environmentally-friendly coating materials for sustainability. When dispersed in epoxy resin, graphene has barrier properties that improve the anticorrosive performance of the metal significantly. Graphene can be synthesized from agricultural waste. Herein, graphene derived from rice husk and epoxy resin was developed with solution mixing to prepare graphene-epoxy coating composites with enhanced anti-corrosive properties. X-ray diffraction, UV-vis spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the synthesized graphenes. The anticorrosive properties of the coatings were characterized by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, which resulted in the corrosion resistance of synthesized graphene and commercial reduced graphene oxide being better than commercial graphene. The impedance and corrosion rate values of synthesized graphene are 1.77 x 105 Ω and 0.00011 mm/year.

Abstract

This research is performed to evaluate the implementation of ISO 900A Lead Auditor Training program using CIPP model evaluation method which comprising of four aspects i.e.: (1) Context, (2) Input, (3) Process and (4) Product. The research method is using mixed method by using both quantitative and qualitative methods, where the data are collected using sampling technique by distributing questionnaires to 15 trainers and 25 trainees or training participants. The data also enriched by using qualitative method of interview and observation done on trainers and training participants. The results of the research and studies show that the training program from the context aspects of the trainers is 80.65% and from participants is 80.45%, from the input aspects of the trainers and participants are consecutively 81.5% and 75.87%, from the process aspects are 79.2% and 71.87%, and from the product aspects of trainers and participants are 80.02% and 75.7%. This can be concluded that the range of TPR are from 71.87% to 81.5% which fall into ‘good’ and ‘very good’ categories.

Abstract

Vocational education fully contributes to the development of Human Resources through the graduates it produces. One strategy to improve student skills in the field of appropriate technology is to apply project-based learning from regional potentials. This study aims to produce valid, practical, and effective textbooks as a tool to maximize project task-based learning from regional potential. This research was conducted using research and development methods using the ADDIE model. The validity of the textbook was obtained from the expert assessment. The data on the practicality of the textbooks were obtained from the opinion of the lecturer in charge of the course and from 30 students who took the Applied Technology Engineering course. The effectiveness of textbooks in terms of improving learning outcomes (pre-test and post-test). The results obtained from this research and development are that the textbooks are declared valid from the material and media aspects based on the assessment of experts, which are 88% and 84%, respectively. The textbooks were declared practical, the result of the lecturer's response was 86% and the student's response was 82.86%. Judging from its effectiveness, the textbook achieved a score on the Paired T-Test of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.005 which indicates a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test or there is an influence on the difference in treatment given to research subjects.
