Abstract

The increasing information needs resulting the need of the information development systems also increased. The presence of a system development will help an agency to facilitate the management of your data and present a quality information. Any education world did not escape from its touch. The integration of information technology into the world of education has created a major influence. One of the products of integration of information technology into the world of education is e-learning. State University of Padang (UNP) has started to implement e-learning lesson in the process. Through the services of the technical services unit (PUSKOM) of the UNP, the development of e-learning that has started from the end of the year 2013 which in its utility is integrated with academic information systems and academic portal that is already running. It is becoming the cornerstone for the research which is related to the condition of existing system now. Whether e-learning really has accepted its existence by the student as a user. This study aims to reveal the influence of the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) against the acceptance of the application of UNP e-learning information system. Techniques of sampling was done randomly and sharing as well as proportional (Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling). Data of the number of students as the user is obtained from PUSKOM. The data framework of TAM who is deciding factors in the acceptance of the application of E-learning, such as the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness of, attitude toward using, and actual use, which becomes a variable in this study were collected through the questionnaire by using the Likert scale in the calculation that has tested the validity and reliability. Then the data were analyzed using statistical methods to analyze its effects. The results of the analysis of the data indicates that the variables research jointly has the influence on the acceptance of the E-learning application.Keywords  : Information system, E-learning, Technology Acceptance Model, TAM

Abstract

The development of information technology that very rapidly, have an impact transformation on various aspects of life. One of the growing information technology and widely implemented is a web-based information systems. Implementation of a web-based information system currently does not just present the information in text form, but also displays the information in the form of a map. In the terms of its utilization, application of GIS technology can be widely used in various fields, including in the health field. This can be used in the presentation of information dissemination of healthy facilities in the city of Padang. Information Systems for mapping Healthy Facilities in Padang City is a tool to convey information distribution healthy facilities that exist in Padang. This information system is designed with the PHP programming language and MySQL database as data storage. To display the digital maps, Google Maps is used because it has the APIs that can be integrated with multiple technologies. The presence of this information system is expected to provide facilities for those who need information about healthy facilities in Padang City. Abstract

This research motivated by the influence kind of substrate to the dimensions of the antenna, gain and impedance, to get the design of antenna with the characteristic consistent with the standards and need of the designer takes the right material. This research to prove the effect of microstrip substrate. The substrate according to the design (features) and desirable for a rectangular microstrip antenna 2,4 GHz. Method used is analisis from the result of the simulation using CST studio suite, the process follow some steps: (1) study literature (2) determining the types antenna (3) determining the specifications of the microstrip antenna (2,4 GHz frequentz of resonance, return loss <-9,54 dB direction) (5) calculating the dimention of the antenna based on the theory (4) simulation using CST studio suite (5) analyzing the result of simulation. From the research can be concluded that there is a value £r of the gain the rectangular microstrip antenna where the larger value £r and the gain will be smaller. There is an influence in the value £r foward the bandwidth to the square antenna microstrip. Which is the more larger the value £r bandwidth make the value smaller. There is an influence in the value £r foward beamwidth to the square antenna mictrostrip, which is the more larger that value of £r, beamwidth will be larger. To design the antenna with high value more than 90° 5dB that is use for the value of £r between 1-3. To design the antenna with the beamwidth that value more than 0,03 GHz that use for the material with value of £r between 1-3.Keywords : kinds of substrate, gain, banwidth, beamwidth, antenna microstrip, CST studio suite

Abstract

This study explains how the learning module is developed on basic programming of Computer Network Engineering students. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the basic programming module of Computer Network Engineering class X at SMK N 5 developed by problem solving strategy. This study is Research and Development (R & D) research by 4D modul implementation. The Development of instructional module using ADDIE model which consist of five stages such as Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. There were three instruments that is used to collect the data in this research like validity questionnaire, practicality questionnaire and and effectiveness sheets. Based on the result carried out, this research has shown that the score for module validity from expert of learning material development is 0,82 and expert of learning media development is 0,77. Then for practicality, based on teacher responses the average score of 87% and 88% for students responses. So instead, it can be concluded that the module on basic programming is effective based on the average scores of experimental class that it was 80, compared by the average score of control class of 72.  Keywords: Module, Basic Programming, Research and Development, ADDIE.

Abstract

The problem in this final project is an internal problem of the school is the availability of school facilities and infrastructures are affected to the students’ knowledge of X TKJ in identifying the type of devices peripheral and its functions. Other causes are the teaching methods and learning medias which used not various, it makes learning become less enjoyable. To overcome these problems, then designed a technology-based Learning Media MagicBook Augmented Reality using Android mobile devices. Besides being able to combine the virtual objects with the reality environtment, Augmented Reality technology enables users to perform three-dimensional direct interaction thus better able to give the impression for students. Magicbook Learning Media is designed like a regular book, but in inside the Magicbook is inserted a marker as a link between the real world and the virtual objects, then added with animation and video tutorials use the application. This media is created using Vuforia Library, Unity Free and Mono Development, Autodesk 3D Studio Max as animation maker software. This media is designed to assist students in understanding the concept of training courses of Apply the Function of Instalation PC and Peripherals and assist teachers in explaining the material. Abstract

Analisis peforma jaringan di gedung Fakultas bahasa Universitas Negeri Padang yang terdiri dari 5 lantai. Tujian dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahi performa jaringan WIFI di gedung bahasa Universitas Negeri Padang dengan menggunakan aplikasi Network Signal Info Pro dan Wirelessmoon. Penelitian ini merukan jenis penelitan perbandingan, yang menganalisa hasil hasil drive test berdasarkan parameter delay, paket loss, dan throughput. Hasil analisisi data merujuk: (1) kategori latency  adalah <50 ms (sangat bagus), 150-300 ms ( bagus), 300-450 ms (sedang) dan 450 ms (jelek). (2) dari seluh data drive test, diperoleh persentase kategori Degradasi 0% Excellent, 3% Good, 15% Medium, dan 25% Poor. Data menyimpulkan bahwa jaringan di gedung ini dapat di kategorikan cukup baik namun belum maksimal dan kekuatan sinyal yang di terima oleh perangkat belum merata. Hingga di perlukan perbaikan kualitas jaringan agar dapat meningkatkan peforma, kekuatan sinyal maksimal yang merata di seluruh area gedung.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how much benefit the influence of the internet and motivation on the results of the completion of class X assignments on the basic subjects of graphic design. As for the type of research used is associative correlational research between quantitative approaches. The population in this research is addressed to multimedia class X students as many as 30 students. Data collected using a questionnaire method that has been compiled with documentation. The data collection techniques in the study used slake likert, namely by giving questionnaires to students of class X Multimedia at SMK N 3 Aceh Barat Daya as respondents in this study. Questionnaires and instruments are arranged on the basis of indicators that have been determined in this research. Research results indicate: 1). There is a positive influence between the use of the internet on the results of the completion of assignments in the multimedia X class whose count value tcount> ttable (3,809> 1,697) contributes 34.1% 2). There is a positive and significant influence on learning motivation towards the results of task completion in the X class multimedia students whose tcount> ttable (3,918> 1,697) contributes 35.1% and 3). there was a simultaneous influence between the use of the internet and learning motivation on the results of the task completion of the f count value (13,824> 2,292) giving a contribution of 50.6%. Keywords: Internet Utilization, Learning Motivation, and Results of Completing assgnments

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes achieved by students on the subjects of Electronics Assembly Techniques which is below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) set a school that is 75. This is presumably because they are learning is often used during the learning direct model is applied directly proven yet effective.The purpose of this research is to reveal how much influence the Demonstrasion learning model to study the results of class X TAV students on subjects Electronics Assembly Techniques (TPE).This research is an experimental study. The sample were students of class X TAV at SMKN5 Padang Academic Year 2014 / 2015.Class experiment is treated using Demonstrasion Learning Model and the control group is a class that uses the direct teaching model.The data is taken from the test results in the form of student practicum. Data were analyzed manually to test for normality, homogenity testing, and hypothesis testing. The research test result obtained value of average student which using model demonstrasion is 80,06 while student who use learning direct model lower is 71,60 with the percentage effect is 11,81%. The result of the calculation hypothesis at significance level α = 0.05 was found that t count> t table is 2,36>2,048. The results of these tests give an interpretation that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, this means that on average significantly experimental class learning outcomes greater than the average control class learning outcomes. Key Words: Demonstrasion Learning Model, Learning Direct, Control and Exsperiment

Abstract

Improvement of welfare and community mobility services in the economic movementof a country or region, can not be separated from the influence of the development offacilities and infrastructure support such as transportation. One of the most commonlyselected by society ground transportation is motorcycle. The limited knowledge of the ownerabout damage of automatic motorcycle, it happens because of lack of access to earlyinformation, to attempt repairs if there is damage to the motorcycle. therefore, needed asolution for users in studying the damage to the motor and the existence of a motor damageand determine what types damage to the motor with the help of expert system usesadvanced trace inference method (forward Chaining). This application is a web-baseddisplay using the programming language PHP CodeIgniter Framework by using SublimeText 3 Editor and MySQL as the database. Damage to parts of the engine occurred due tonegligence in performing maintenance. Car owners need a periodic maintenance bydetecting any damage that occurs on the motor. Motorcycle owners should receiveinformation early or early diagnosis and identify the components, the characteristics of motorbreakdown as well as solutions to overcome such defects. This is done so that maintenanceand repairs are done right on target, so as to minimize damage to the motor. This applicationis expected to help the owner of the motor to determine the initial diagnosis of the type ofdamage the motor by way of answering the questions about the characteristics of motordamage in the application.Keywords: Matic, Diagnosis, Expert system, forward chaining.
