Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology encourages the important role of telemetry systems in monitoring various vehicle parameters in real-time. This research aims to design and develop an ESP32 microcontroller-based vehicle telemetry system integrated with several sensors. The sensors used include INA219 sensor to monitor battery voltage and current, MAX6675 sensor to measure engine temperature, and Neo-6M GPS module to determine the position and speed of the vehicle. The measurement results are displayed directly on the LCD screen and sent to IoT platforms such as ThingSpeak and Blynk Legacy via internet connection using WiFi network or SIM800L-based GSM network. The IoT platform serves as a medium for remote data storage and display. This system has been tested on Honda Supra Fit X motorcycle in static and dynamic conditions. The test results show that the system is able to accurately measure vehicle parameters with a small deviation rate compared to standard measuring instruments, namely ±1.0°C for temperature using a SmartSensor AR320+ infrared thermometer and 0.3V for voltage using a Sanwa CD800a digital multimeter. The data transmission system also proved to be stable under various network conditions. This telemetry system offers an efficient, flexible and accessible vehicle monitoring solution to support safety and preventive maintenance.

Abstract

Informatics learning for grade XI requires a strong understanding of algorithm strategies to develop students' logical thinking abilities. The Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method applied by teachers often pays insufficient attention to the learning process, making it less attractive to Generation Z students who are accustomed to fast visual content like TikTok. This condition causes students to regard algorithm strategies as difficult and irrelevant material. This research aims to examine the effect of TikTok educational content projects in improving grade XI students' understanding at SMAN 1 Gunung Talang regarding algorithm strategy material. The research uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The research population consists of all grade XI students at SMAN 1 Gunung Talang with a sample of 60 students selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through tests using Google Forms. Data analysis includes normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using SPSS 21. The Lilliefors normality test results show Lo(calculated) 0.095 (experimental) and 0.093 (control) < Lt(table) 0.159, indicating normally distributed data. The homogeneity test yielded a significance of 0.962 > 0.05 (homogeneous). The t-test shows sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, proving there is a significant difference between PjBL with TikTok content and PjBL in improving understanding of algorithm strategies.

Abstract

Blibli is one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Indonesia with a 4.7-star rating on the Google Play Store. Although it has many positive reviews, automatic sentiment analysis is needed to understand user perceptions objectively and efficiently. This study aims to classify the sentiment of user reviews of the Blibli application using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. A total of 2,000 recent reviews were collected through web scraping and underwent preprocessing processes including case folding, cleaning, normalization, filtering, stemming, and tokenization. To address class imbalance, the SMOTE method was applied so that positive and negative sentiment data became balanced, with 1,413 reviews each. The data were then divided into three training and testing ratio scenarios: 90:10, 80:20, and 70:30. Text transformation was carried out using the TF-IDF method. Experiments were conducted by comparing four SVM kernels: Linear, RBF, Polynomial, and Sigmoid. The best results were obtained in the 90:10 scenario using the Linear kernel, achieving an accuracy of 96.82%, precision of 96.93%, recall of 96.82%, and F1-score of 96.82%. These findings indicate that SVM, particularly with the Linear kernel, is highly effective and balanced in classifying user review sentiments. The results of this study are expected to contribute to application developers in improving service quality based on user feedback obtained automatically and in a structured manner.

Abstract

Hardware learning in the Computer and Network Engineering (CNE) Program at vocational high schools is often constrained by limited physical practice tools and media, such as static textbooks and 2D images, which are less effective in visualizing three-dimensional objects. This fails to provide an in-depth understanding of complex hardware components, a foundational skill in vocational education. Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the technologies with great potential to improve learning quality. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) project that aims to design and develop a comprehensive AR-based learning media. The development process was carried out using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, consisting of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of three domains—computer hardware, basic network devices, and fiber optic and telecommunication tools—aligned with the Kurikulum Merdeka learning outcomes. Application feasibility was evaluated in two stages: functional testing using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method involving 10 students and validation by media and material experts (two media experts and two material experts). The development resulted in a functional learning media containing 13 interactive 3D models and a quiz feature. Based on the UAT results, all main functionalities—including menu navigation, 3D object visualization, user interaction, and quiz systems—performed as expected. Furthermore, the expert validation yielded an average Aiken's V score of 0.90, categorizing the media as "highly valid". It is concluded that this AR-based learning media is both functionally feasible and highly valid as an innovative instructional tool to enhance students’ understanding of computer and network hardware. Keywords— Augmented Reality, Learning Media, Marker-Based AR, Android, Computer Hardware

Abstract

This study developed and evaluated an integrated Internet of Things (IoT)-based access control system that unifies residential gate operation, garage door automation, and garage lighting within a single platform. Conventional home automation deployments typically address only one function at a time, resulting in fragmented control and limited interaction between subsystems. Compared to prior smart home implementations that focus on single subsystems, the proposed platform jointly manages gate, garage door, and lighting and reports scenario-based reliability metrics. To address this gap, the proposed system used an ESP32 microcontroller as the central controller, ultrasonic distance sensors for vehicle detection, servo motors for mechanical actuation, and a relay module for lighting control. A mobile application built with the Blynk platform provided real-time monitoring and remote control via smartphone. The prototype was tested under three scenarios-manual mobile control, fully automatic sensor-triggered operation, and combined operation-with 20 repeated cycles per scenario. Performance metrics included servo actuation time, communication latency between the mobile application and the ESP32, sensor accuracy, and operational reliability. The gate and garage door achieved opening times of approximately 1.0-1.2 s and 1.5 s, respectively, while end-to-end communication latency remained between 300 ms and 480 ms across all tests. Ultrasonic distance measurements showed a maximum error of 1.8 cm and an average error below 1.2 cm, with no system failures in any scenario. These results demonstrate that the integrated design is technically feasible, reliable, and suitable as a cost-effective foundation for residential access control.  Future work will focus on scaling the prototype toward full-size installations and extending integration with additional smart home services.
