Conceptual Idea, publishes articles conceptually relevant to advancing the practice of music and learning, present theories of music, models, or philosophical position, etc. Articles may draw upon theory/or material developed in educational practice that recognize and address a wide range of pedagogical approach that would interest members from a variety of countries and teaching setting, including activities and art materials to help internationalize art curricula.

Abstract

To improve the quality of learning music in addition to ability and skills are also needed awareness of the requirements behind the success of students in learning music. The first step to learn the music before plunging into the skill of the instrument started by learning music basics first. To find out the problems faced by the students and how large the scope of the requirements needed by the students to support and simplify the learning of basic music and how to cope with them. The method that used in this research is qualitative method. The data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis data technique that used is reduction stage, data presentation, and verification or conclusion. The result of the research states that found some identification requirements to learn basic music involve Milleu, Man, Method, Machine, Money, and Material. Where each requirement should be understood and noticed by the students in order to optimize the mastery of basic music in the Solfeggio course

Abstract

Gereja Beth-El Tabernakel Kristus Alfa Omega (GBT KAO) Juwana is one of the churches in Juwana with a diverse congregation. With this diversity, GBT KAO Juwana tries to provide worship that is considered capable of the needs of all congregations through the music presented. The problem that is often encountered in churches today is the lack of enthusiasm of the congregation when worship is taking place. Therefore, the formulation that can be studied in this study is how the influence of church music on the enthusiasm of the GBT KAO Juwana congregation in attending worship. This study used quantitative research methods. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire. The collected questionnaires were processed using a simple linear regression analysis technique using SPSS. The results show that (1) the correlations table obtained Pearson Correlation of 0,707 > 0,312 and a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, (2) the coefficients table obtained 6,168 > 1,697 and 0,000 < 0,05 significance values, (3) the ANOVAa table obtained f count of 38,048 > 4,098 and a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, (4) the model summary table obtained R square value of 0,500 = 50,0%. The conclusions in this study indicate that church music has a 50% effect on the enthusiasm of the GBT KAO Juwana congregation in attending worship.

Abstract

Badrasanti literary works are the literary works that have been revitalized into several art performances. From the result of observations, this is influenced by the times that are very enthusiastic about the cultural arts of the archipelago. This research aims to identify and describe the form of Kidung Puji Badrasanti’s show. The research approach that applied in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques are conducted in a literature review, observation, interview, and documents study. The form of Kidung Puji Badrasanti’s show consists of aspects of composition and aspects of the presentation. The aspects of the composition consist of gendhing and balungan gendhing, rhythm, laya, laras, pathet, dynamics, and musical instruments in their appearance. The rhythm in the song of Puji Badrasanti uses dadi rhythm, laya in the Kidung Puji Badrasanti is nglentreh, laras in the song of Badrasanti’s praise is pelog, pathet that used is pathet lima, dynamics appear as needed. The musical instruments used are kemanak, kendhang ketipung and bem, slenthem, saron, peking, gong, kenong and kethuk. Aspects of the presentation pay attention to the players, the stage, makeup, fashion, lighting, and sound system.

Abstract

Iksan Skuter is a musician who likes to voice songs with the theme of social criticism. In this paper, the writer focuses on one song by Iksan Skuter, namely the song titled Bingung. The song Bingung contains a social critique of contradictions that have always been a concern of the people in Indonesia. The reason why the writer made the song Bingung by Iksan Skuter the focus of the research is that according to the writer this song has simplicity in the form of music, has a series of melodies that are easy to remember, has straightforward lyrics, and this song is quite in demand by the public, this can be seen from the following: the number of individuals and groups who re-sung this song. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a content analysis approach. Data collection techniques include: observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the song Bingung consisted of three parts, namely part A, part B, and part C with sentence structures or musical phrases part A (a, x), B (b, b1) and C (c, z).

Abstract

AbstractKelompok kesenian angklung Carang Wulung merupakan salah satu kelompok kesenian angklung yang ada di Desa Lebaksiu Lor, Kecamatan Lebaksiu, Kabupaten Tegal. Kelompok angklung Carang Wulung dalam pertunjukannya sudah dibuat, digarap, dan disajikan secara tertata. Hal tersebut yang membuat kelompok angklung Carang Wulung lebih dikenal dan berbeda dari pada kelompok angklung lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis data interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bentuk pertunjukan kelompok angklung Carang Wulung dalam situasi pementasan tanggapan dibagi menjadi tiga bagian pementasan, yaitu bagian pembukaan, bagian inti, dan bagian penutup. Bentuk pertunjukan kelompok angklung Carang Wulung dikaji secara tekstual, terdiri dari bentuk komposisi dan bentuk penyajian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, saran yang disampaikan adalah kepada para pemain kelompok Carang Wulung agar lebih menambah koreografi gerakan dan aransemen yang berbeda untuk setiap lagu sehingga tidak monoton.Arts groups Carang Wulung angklung is one of the angklung arts groups in the Lebaksiu Lor, district Lebaksiu, Tegal regency. Carang Wulung angklung group in the show has been created, cultivated, and presented in good order. It makes it’s group better known and different than the other of angklung groups. This research used a qualitative approach. The techniques of collection the data are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using an interactive data analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the shape of angklung group performance in situations Carang Wulung staging rental staging is divided into three parts, namely the opening, the core, and the concluding section. Form groups of angklung performances Carang Wulung studied textually, consisting of forms of composition and form of presentation. Based on the findings, suggestions are presented to the players Carang Wulung group to further increase the choreography of movement and different arrangements for each song so that is not monotonous.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan yaitu apakah melalui pelatihan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam menerjemahkan syair lagu anak – anak dari bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Inggris di TK Islam Al – Azhar 14 Semarang? Metode penelitian yang digunakan jenis terapan dengan PTS (Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah) yang mengadobsi dari prosedur PTK. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan penilaian unjuk kerja dan non tes. Alat pengambilan data yang digunakan berupa pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Analisis data dilakukan kuantitatif dan analisis isi (content analisis). Berdasarkan analisis hasil tes menerjemahkan syair lagu menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata – rata keseluruhan aspek dari masing – masing siklus yaitu 68,13 pada pra siklus, 72,53 pada siklus I, 75,15 pada siklus II, 76,7 pada siklus III. Peningkatan tersebut terjadi karena adanya tindakan – tindakan yang dilakukan peneliti pada setiap siklusnya, yaitu dari penggunaan media visual power point, media audio visual berupa video dan perhatian intensif dari peneliti.Selain itu, perilaku yang ditunjukkkan yaitu perhatian, semangat belajar, kesungguhan dan kedisiplinan meningkat setelah peneliti melakukan pengamatan pada setiap siklusnya. Dari penelitian yang dilaksanakan, saran yang dapat disampaikan adalah (1) Pelatihan ini perlu diberikan kepada guru – guru di sekolah lain yaitu TK atau KB yang telah menerapkan sistem pengajaran dengan bahasa Inggris dan musik secara intensif di kelas. (2) Penggunaan buku – buku lagu terjemahan sebaiknya dilakukan secara selektif sebab banyak terjemahan lagu yang beredar di lapangan kurang baik kualitasnya.

Abstract

Perkembangan musik keroncong di desa Gedongmulya, kecamatan Lasem, Kabupaten Rembang mengalami pasang surut, karena struktur masyarakat pinggir Pantai Utara Jawa yang kebanyakan menyukai musik dangdut. Kemudian muncul grup musik Gema Irama dengan warna musik keroncong mampu menarik antusias masyarakat desa Gedongmulya kecamatan Lasem, mengapa grup Gema Irama memilih warna musik keroncong ditengah masyarakat pinggir Pantai Utara Jawa yang notabene menyukai musik dangdut dan kenapa akhirnya grup Gema Irama dapat eksis dengan membawakan musik keroncong. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung ke eksistensian grup musik keroncong Gema Irama di desa Gedongmulya kecamatan Lasem terdiri dari managemen grup musik keroncong Gema Irama,  struktur organisasi, bentuk pertunjukan dan keberadaan grup musik keroncong Gema Irama. Bentuk penyajian meliputi urutan pertunjukan mulai dari persiapan, pembukaan, pertunjukan inti dan penutup. Tempat pentas dan panggung meliputi tata suara dan tata rias.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ Developments in the village Gedongmulya keroncong music, Lasem district, District Apex have ups and downs, because the structure of the edge of the North Coast of Java are most like dangdut music. Then came the rhythm of the music group echoes the color of keroncong music is able to attract enthusiastic villagers Gedongmulya Lasem district, why the group chose the color echo rhythm keroncong music in the community side of the North Coast of Java which is actually like dangdut music and why eventually Gema group can exist with the rhythm of the music bring keroncong . The factors that support to the group eksistensian keroncong music echoes in the village Rhythm Gedongmulya Lasem district consists of the management group Gema rhythm keroncong music, organizational structure, shape the show and the existence of keroncong music group Gema rhythm. Forms of presentation includes performances starting from the preparation sequence, opening, and closing performances core. Place and stage performances include sound and cosmetology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis motivasi dan prestasi belajar  siswa kelas VIID SMP Islam Sudirman Ambarawa. Manfaat yang diharapkan dalam   penelitian   ini   adalah   untuk   mengembangkan   konsep tentang   pemberian penguatan kepada siswa serta sebagai bahan masukan kepada guru seni budaya untuk meningkatkan  motivasi  dan   prestasi  belajar  siswa dengan  pemberian  penguatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model John Elliot. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, tes tertulis, angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah  deskripsif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa  motivasi dan prestasi  siswa dalam pelajaran seni budaya meningkat.

Abstract

Pemain drum profesional yang dikenal masyarakat luas pada umumnya adalah seorang yang sudah dewasa, namun pada saat ini banyak bermunculan drummer dari kalangan anak-anak yang memiliki kemampuan diatas rata-rata dalam bermain drum. Permasalahan yang dikaji yaitu bagaimana strategi pembelajaran dan faktor-faktor yang menjadi kendala pembelajaran drum pada junior kids secara klasikal di GRSB Semarang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, menganalisis strategi dan faktor-faktor yang menjadi kendala dalam pembelajaran drum pada junior kids secara klasikal di GRSB Semarang.                    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang menguraikan mengenai strategi dan faktor yang menjadi kendala dalam pembelajaran drum pada junior kids di GRSB Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan pemeriksaan keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi sumber. Analisis data yang meliputi tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi pembelajaran drum di GRSB Semarang menerapkan dua strategi, yaitu strategi yang dikembangkan oleh lembaga dan strategi yang dikembangkan oleh setiap instruktur. Strategi tersebut meliputi: (1) Pembelajaran klasikal, (2) Materi terstruktur, (3) Standar media dan sarana pembelajaran, dan (4) Evaluasi terstruktur, sedangkan strategi yang dikembangkan instruktur yaitu: (1) mengembangkan metode, dan (2) mengembangkan materi pada sesi hiburan.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ Professional drum player known to the public at large is an adult, but at this time drummer of many emerging among children who have above average ability in playing the drums. The problems studied are how learning strategies and the factors that constraint the junior kids drum lessons in the classical style in GRSB Semarang. The purpose of this study is to investigate, analyze strategies and factors that become obstacles in learning the drums at the junior kids GRSB classically in Semarang. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that outlines the strategies and factors that inhibit learning on junior drum GRSB kids in Semarang. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation, while checking the validity of the data used is triangulation. Data analysis includes three stages of data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing / learning strategies verifikasi.Hasil showed GRSB drum in Semarang implement two strategies, the strategies developed by the institute and the strategies developed by each instructor. The strategy includes: (1) classical learning, (2) structured materials, (3) media standards and means of learning, and (4) Evaluation of a structured, while the instructor developed strategies are: (1) develop methods, and (2) develop material on the entertainment session.

Abstract

Musik adalah cabang seni yang sering hadir dalam kehidupan manusia. Di kota Semarang ditemukan sekelompok pemuda yang menamakan diri sebagai Cooperland (Community Of Percussion Land) yang artinya komunitas atau perkumpulan perkusi dan memanfaatkan alat-alat seadanya seperti; ember cat ukuran besar, panci bekas, tongkat pramuka bekas. penulis tertarik untuk meneliti lebih lanjut kelompok musik perkusi Cooperland terutama tentang komposisi musikalnya. Secara khusus peneliti ingin meneliti penggunaan pola gamelan Bali dalam permainan perkusi kelompok Cooperland di kota Semarang.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ Music is a branch of art that is often present in people's lives. In Semarang city found a group of young men calling themselves the Cooperland (Community Land Of Percussion) which means that communities or associations utilize percussion and improvised tools such as large size paint bucket, pot scrap, former scout stick. writers interested in researching further percussion group Cooperland primarily on musical composition. In particular, researchers wanted to examine usage patterns in a Balinese gamelan percussion group Cooperland in Semarang.
