Abstract

PT X is a company engaged in manufacturing bottle caps such as cap flip top ?50-8 white snap on products. In the production process at PT X in August 2022, there is a problem related to the level of defects in the cap flip top ?50-8 white snap products which increases and exceeds the regulatory limit (5%), reaching 10% or 65,707 units of the total production of 658,000 units. Based on the problem of the high percentage of defects, it is necessary to carry out a quality control using six sigma to determine the level of defects that occur, to look for factors affecting the highest defects and to provide suggestions for improvements. From the results of the analysis using six sigma, it is found that the highest level of defects, namely the type of black spot defects, is 45,413 pcs with a percentage of 69.11% and the average sigma value obtained is 3,022. Next, the results of the fishbone diagram   analysis show that the factors causing black spot defects are machines, materials, humans, media, and methods. From each of these causal factors, improvement can be given using 5W + 1H to reduce black spot defects that occur in the cap flip top ?50-8 white snap on in the next production process.

Abstract

PT. KWP is a manufacturing company that produces rotating equipment and manufacture tool components. When producing the products, the company needs at least 30 kinds of raw materials. The company, in the process of procuring raw materials, has not so far carried out a critical item analysis of this type of raw material inventory. This can cause problems when there is an urgent request in determining the type of raw material prioritized to be procured first. The company also often overstocks some of the raw materials they use. The purpose of this study is to provide a solution regarding raw material inventory management in the form of using ABC analysis in classifying raw materials and comparing the total inventory cost of existing conditions and the Q back order model. Based on the results of a study show that from the ABC analysis, there are 6 raw materials for A category, 6 raw materials for B category, and 18 raw materials for C category at PT. KWP. Raw materials with category A are those that need to be prioritized first.Then, the use of Q back order model shows the total inventory cost is lower compared to the company's existing conditions, with raw materials in category A totally providing 12% cost savings of Rp.59,152,456.

Abstract

One of data mining model that is often used is the clustering model. The clustering model is used to create a grouping of a datasheet. Data clustering can be used to distinguish data in a datasheet.  Many of the best groupings can be done with the clustering model evaluation process. In the clustering method, the evaluation process can use various evaluation methods. The research will cluster the results of a survey on reviews of tourist destinations consisting of 10 categories. The method used is a data mining method, namely Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD). Stages in KDD include data selection, data cleaning, transformation, data mining process and evaluation of model results. The process of creating a clustering model uses a public datasheet, namely tripadvisor_review.csv.  The data clustering process uses the K-means algorithm. The result of the clustering will be tested by comparing evaluation methods. This evaluation method is used to select the best amount of clustering. Testing to get the best clustering results is conducted by testing from clustering 2 to 15. The evaluation uses Davies Bouldin, Elbow and Silhouette methods. The result shows that the number of datasheet groupings with the three evaluation methods provides recommendations for grouping as many as 2 groups.

Abstract

Image recognition technology has developed rapidly in recent times. There are many methods springing up in its use. One of them is the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) as used in this research. The method is used to detect image patterns from the shape of the arrangement of the fingers of one hand as a signal from the identification of the numbers 0 to 9 in SIBI (Indonesian Sign Language System). The problem of the research is that many optimizers emerge in a deep learning method. Therefore, selecting the right optimizer itself is a challenge that can be used as the next reference for input images that do not go through the previous pre-processing stage. The aim of the research is to get the best accuracy score from the comparison of 3 optimizers and their relations to processing time. The conclusion obtained shows that AdaDelta optimizer that has existed for a long time can provide better results than Adam which is the development of the last optimizer.

Abstract

At present, industrial companies, especially those engaged in the automotive manufacturing sector, are required to work effectively and efficiently. This research reviews the maintenance of mold machines, which are the main tools in the production process. The maintenance of this machine is very important. The problem that often occurs is in 550T injection engine which often experience a breakdown. Therefore, this research analyzes and plans more optimal maintenance by utilizing a system and applying the Reliability Centered Maintenance method. The research takes data from six engine components that are often damaged. Of the six components, the most critical ones are the clamping toggle, the nozzle, and the piston injection. The results of the research recommend maintenance inspections of the Finding Direction (FD) category that are performed daily, weekly, and monthly. In addition, in the Time Directed (TD) category, maintenance is provided based on a component replacement schedule in accordance with predetermined replacement intervals.

Abstract

Employees play an important role in running a company's operation. Their performance can determine whether or not a company can operate efficiently. There are a number of aspects that can affect employee performance in a company, two of which are QualityiofiWorkiLife and Job Satisfaction. This research is aimed at examining the effect of Quality of Work Life and Job Satisfaction on employee performance at PT. XYZ. The sample is obtained using purposive sampling method, in which all members of the employees in the Customer Care and Customer Service Unit of PT. XYZ participate as respondents, with a total of 10 respondents. The method used in data processing is Multiple Regression test. The t-test result for the QualityiofiWorkiLife (X1) variable is 2,948 and for the Employee Performance (Y) variable is 2,821, which is greater (>) than the t-table value of 2,365. Meanwhile, the calculated f-test result is 133,763, which is greater (>) than the F-table value of 4,46. This indicates that there is an influence between Qualityi ofiWorkiLife and Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance at PT. XYZ, both partially and simultaneously

Abstract

In Indonesia, anemia is a common blood disorder. The absence of red blood cells in the body can cause the disease. The large number of people who still ignore the early symptoms of anemia can worsen the body's condition due to delays in diagnosing the disease they are experiencing. This study will combine the Naïve Bayes and Certainty Factor methods in assisting the initial diagnosis of anemia. The Naïve Bayes method is used to determine the type of anemia a user suffers from based on the symptoms they have. After that, the system will perform a calculation using the Certainty Factor method based on the type of disease that has been determined previously to find out how much the certainty to prove that the user has anemia. A Test on the system produce an accuracy score of 93% from 60 test data.

Abstract

The design of a double-pipe heat exchanger has been carried out. This study aimed to compare the overall heat transfer coefficient from the double pipe heat exchanger design with the HTRI software output results. The overall heat transfer coefficient value in the manual calculation process is 221.53 W/m2K. The design process with HTRI software was carried out by inputting data from design cases into the software. From the running results, the overall heat transfer coefficient is 213.58 W/m2K. The results compared to produce a deviation of 3.67%. The results of this deviation are considered very good because it is far below the deviation value targeted in this study, which is .  The HTRI software is beneficial as a validation tool and a complement to the heat exchanger design process.

Abstract

Skin cancer is a dangerous disease. The most common skin cancers in Indonesia is melanoma. Melanoma cases reached 9,6 million in 2018. Skin cancer can be cured with proper and quick treatment. Skin cancer early detection can be done by detection system types of skin cancer based on benign and malignant classes using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with ResNet-152 and AlexNet architecture. The data are taken from the 2019 International Skin Imaging Collaboration (ISIC) archives. The optimizer algorithms used are Adaptive Moment Estimation (Adam) and Mini-Batch Gradient Descent (MBGD). The result of the research indicates that ResNet-152 architecture using MBGD optimizer gives the best result with an accuracy of 87.85%

Abstract

When someone has very weak immunity level, they can develop skin problems. Children, especially babies and toddlers, are prone to skin problems because their immune systems are not fully developed. Developing an application that can help users to be able to diagnose skin diseases in toddlers, especially skin diseases Diaper Rash, Prickly Heat, Chicken Pox, Measles, Eczema, and Impetigo is needed according to needs. This study uses the Forward Chaining inference engine and the Certainty Factor certainty method. The goal is to make an application that can help the experts to get information and solutions about skin diseases in toddlers, as well as to provide accurate presentations about the disease. In the development of this system, the resulted level of accuracy is in accordance with the diagnosis expert, which is equal to 83.33% of 30 medical record data
