Abstract

ABSTRACT This research background by the problems that researchers find in SLB mutiara Lubuk Alung Budi, a child's mild mental retardation in SLB class III semester who have problems in identifying the form numbers, it is first seen when researchers looked at the implementation of the ongoing learning of mathematics in the classroom III in SLB Pearl Budi Lubuk Alung, after apparently observed the child had difficulty in identifying the form numbers so when asked to show and write the child has difficulty. Under these conditions, the study aims to prove the effectiveness of the use of Digital Media Puzzle figure to improve the rate of child recognize shapes mild mental retardation SLB class III in mutiara Budi Lubuk Alung.This research Single Subject Research approach, the ABA design and data analysis techniques using visual analysis chart. Subjects were mild mental retardation children class III, where the child was told to show, and write the number corresponding shape, dictated many numbers are ten-digit numbers from 1 to 10 per meeting. Measurement of variables by using a percentage figure how many pieces can be known children according to their shape. The results of this study indicate that the Digital Media Puzzle Figures effective in improving the ability to know the form of the numbers in the teaching of mathematics to children third grade mild mental retardation SLB mutiara Budi Lubuk Alung. Observations made with the first three sessions, the session before being given intervention baseline (A1) conducted five times observation, the percentage of the ability to know the form number on this condition lies in the range of 5%, and 10%. Second, the intervention sessions (B) using the Digital Media Puzzle Figures observation carried seven times, ability to recognize shapes percentage points in this condition lies in the range of 30%, 30%, 40%, 60%, and 90%. Third session baseline (A2) is done five times of observation, the results obtained in the child's ability to recognize the form of increased numbers that lie in the range of 90% to 100%. Based on these results it can be concluded Puzzle Numbers Digital media is effective in improving the ability to know the form of mild mental retardation points for third grade children SLB mutiara Budi Alung depths. Suggested the teachers should be able to use the Digital Media Puzzle Figures in identifying the form numbers on the child's mild mental retardation. Abstract

This study aims to improve the reading skills of students with hearing impairment grade I said SLB Bintan through the application of media power point. This study is an action research (classrooms action research) with a research design Sudarsono. Subjects were two deaf students grade I SLB Bintan. The study consisted of 2 cycles. The first cycle consists of 5 rooms and the second cycle consists of 3 meetings. Each cycle ends with a post-test. Implementation of the second cycle based on the evaluation performed in the first cycle, the research has not achieved the success criteria specified. Cycle II is an improvement action cycle I. Data collection is done by testing the ability to read words and observations. The method of data analysis is descriptive quantitative and presentation of data in tables and graphs histogram. The results showed that the application of medi da power point can improve deaf students' reading skills. The result is evidenced by the increasing achievement scores by students' reading comprehension skills. Improved reading comprehension ability of deaf students 'achievement scores indicated by increasing students' ability to pronounce words, naming objects, and matching words with pictures. Improving students' reading skills through the application of media Deaf power point and the students were given verbal motivation and praise to encourage increased capabilities. The final conclusion is through the application of media power point deaf students' reading skills improved.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the inability of deaf children in developing structured sentences, so the intent and meaning of the sentence that made ​​it difficult to understand by others, which in turn inhibits the deaf child's communication. Therefore, the author tries to use information and communication technology as a medium of learning the Indonesian language in deaf children to help improve ability to construct a sentence is structured. Formulation of the problem in this research is "How can the effectiveness of media use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the ability to construct a sentence in deaf children? '. The population in this study were students deaf high school level Extraordinary Tanjungpinang and total sample amounted to 5 students with hearing impairment. The method used in this study is an experimental method with the "One Group Pre-test and Post-test". Data collection techniques used were written tests, while data analysis techniques using Wilcoxon test. Indonesian language learning using information technology and communication media is more effective in learning Indonesian about making the sentence structure, faster students know about the word as the subject, predicate, object, and a description of where and how to make a sentence structured and patterned. This is because, in the information technology and communication media is placing more emphasis on the regularity of the word in a sentence, so that the misplacement of words or phrases that are often created confusion deaf children is not the case. Based on the results of this study should be a consideration for schools and teachers SLB-B in providing learning Indonesian language media information and communications technology to enhance the ability to make the sentence structure in children with hearing impairment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to prove the presence or absense of total communication influence on the ability to read the announcement  with proper pronunciation and intonation for deaf students in special-ed classes D.III/B Kartini Batam. This study uses quasi experiment with the rotation patern (the experimental group and the control group). The sample was third grade deaf student, amounting to 8 people. Data obtained through test the ability to read the announcement. Then analyzed with the Mann-Whitney test. The result showed that Uc =7 and Ut= 15, so the statistical decision: Uc < Ut (7< 15). Means the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and accepted (H1). These result can be concluded that the level of 95% of the data obtained can be said that “the ability to read the announcement of the third grade deaf children in special schools are not the same Batam Kartini (no influence) after being given a lesson by using total communication”. The results also that effect result from childre eith communication learnning total is positive (increasing returns) than child with spelling. Thus, it can be suggested at the school, teachers and researchers to further use total communication in learning to read more.

Abstract

Abstract This research background in the presence of a child with autism X tantrums are still problematic in the process of learning (children often have tantrums in the study). Based on this research aims to reduce tantrum behavior  that children learn best, and see if the exercise ball games can reduce tantrum behavior. This study uses a single sabject research (SSR) with the AB design. Subjects were children with autism X in SLB Fan Redha padang. Assessment in this study is consistent and measured the length of children do not have tantrums before and after treated with ball play exercises presented in the form of duration. These results indicate that the behavior of children with autism tantrums X decreases, initially at baseline conditions conducted in eight sessions children have tantrums for a few minutes, on the condition that intervention sessions were 12 child tantrum behavior can be reduced so that in a few minutes the child has a tantrum and further reduced from second to second child has a tantrum. Data was colleted using a test that the child was asked to do the exercises play ball. Trus the proven formula that issues raised missed playing football practice effective ways to reduce tantrum behavior for children with autism  X in Fan Redha Padang. The results in children autism X playing ball in can reduce tantrum behavior, the research suggest the teacher to use the execise ball to play in reducing tantrums for future learning. Kata Kunci : tantrums ; upaya ; mengurangi tantrum  ; bermain bola.

Abstract

Children mild mental retardation can’t make potato chips properly. Therefore, to facilitate learning for children used training methods. The purpose of this study that the ability of children to make potato chips increases. This study uses classroom action research carried out in collaboration with colleagues. Data were collected through observation techniques and testing, and then analyzed qualitatively. and quantitative. The results show the method can improve the skills training make potato chips mild mental retardation in children.

Abstract

This research is back-grounded by a problem on deaf children can not do sepak sila in sepaktakraw game cause of the teacher in learning sepaktakraw sport on sepak sila did not give basic technique repeatedly. To solve that problem, researcher do repairing of learning activity with giving sipak sila technique with using Drill Method. This research aims to prove the drill method can increase mastering sipak sila on the deaf children. The research used action research class design collaborated with colleagues (subject teacher and sport teacher). The subject of research is fifth class of SLBN Tanjung Pinang with four deaf students. Research took place on first cycle using drill method have increased in mastering sipak sila even though not yet all of component in sipak sila technique can mastered fluently. In first cycle AP can noted name of kick and practice not fluently. IF can note the name of kick but not fluently in practice the kick. BK can note the name of kick but undirected in kicking. SY can noted the name of kick but still aided in doing unperfect kick. In second cycle, using drill method technique intensively of sepak sila with increasing becoming four meeting, so the result became very good like AP could name the kick and to practice the kick becoming straight. SY could name of kick and do the kick but rather angle, target kick was fine. Based on the result, the conclusion of this research that drill method could increase mastering sepak sila on sepaktakraw game on deaf students. The suggestion on this research, to apply drill method in next learning in the same material and sport learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research background by the apparent problems in the field, ie, mild mental retardation X-class children in special schools D.I Pearl Budi Lubuk Alung who have difficulty in identifying geometrical. This is evident from the ability of children to recognize initial geometrical children have difficulty on tests give researchers, children may not be able to answer all the test correctly. This study aims utntuk prove effective or not learning mathematics to improve the ability to know the realistic geometrical. Research methodology that researchers use is the single-subject experimental research (SSR) using A-B-A design, in order to see the children's ability to recognize geometrical before given treatment, during treatment delivery and compared with the ability of the child after the treatment is no longer given. Data analysis was conducted in this research is a visual data analysis is illustrated by a graph. The results were analyzed covers the number of observations in the baseline condition I (A1) five sessions, six intervention sessions and baseline II (A2) five meetings. The results of this study looks at the baseline I (A1) the highest ability children is 21.3%, in the intervention (B) the child's ability score is 86% and the baseline II (A2) the child's ability score is 84%. Judging from the data analysis in the conditions and data analysis between conditions showed a change in the ability to know geometrical soft X mental retardation in children towards better learning mathematics through realistic, it can be concluded that learning mathematics through realistic mild mental retardation children in special schools x Pearl Budi Lubuk Alung already be familiar with the five types of geometrical (beam, tubes, cones, blocks and cubes). Therefore, it is suggested that the classroom teacher or math teacher for learning mathematics is used in identifying realistic geometrical mild mental retardation in children. Abstract

Children's mental retardation moderate grade IV had difficulty in recognizing numbers. The perceived difficulty of teachers, providing guidance not optimal, media less have variation, while VAKT method has never been used in learning. The purpose of this study the ability of the child to know that numbers 1 to 10 increased. The study was designed using classroom action research methodology. Data obtained through the introduction of number child observation and tests. The results of the cycle I and II that VAKT method can increase the ability of mental retardation moderate in children recognize numbers.
