Abstract

This study examines social studies learning outcomes through the application of an innovative learning model talking stick type. The main problem of the research is how, through the application of the innovative learning model talking stick type, student learning outcomes towards social studies subjects can increase in grade IV SD Negeri Mamajang II Makassar City. The research objective was to determine the application of the talking stick type of innovative learning model in improving social studies learning outcomes in grade IV SD Negeri Mamajang II Makassar City. This research is a classroom action research using a model developed by Kurt Lewin which includes four steps, namely planning, acting, observing, reflecting. The research subjects were 28 grade IV students. The data collection used test, observation. For the teacher aspect in cycle I, there is still a need for improvement in applying the innovative learning model talking stick type, but in cycle II the application of teacher learning has met the criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' learning difficulties in retelling stories and find out the factors that influence students' difficulties in retelling stories. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. In this study, researchers used several methods to collect data, including: observation, interviews, questionnaires (questionnaires), and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the highest student error is found in retelling the contents of the story that has been read, while the lowest student error is in student understanding. From the percentage of student errors, it shows that most students still have difficulty in retelling the content of the story, do not know the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of the story, the applied teacher learning style, lack of student response, and lack of student focus in learning. In addition, student difficulties can be influenced by internal factors and external factors.

Abstract

Abstrak.Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) berinovasi menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif, efisien dan berkualitas. Unsur tata kelola pembelajaran harus disesuaikan dengan kemampuan sekolah dan sumber daya manusia yang dimilikinya untuk dapat melakukan perencanaan, pengarahan, pelaksanaan, pengorganisasian dan pengawasan untuk menjalankan prinsip tata kelola. Prinsip tata kelola yang lazim dikembangkan dalam suatu organisasi yaitu transparansi, partisipasi, akuntabilitas dan koordinasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder secara representatif dengan menetapkan tiga SMA unggulan dan tiga SMA binaan. Penentuan informan dilakukan dengan metode representatif melalui wawancara dengan jumlah informan 12 orang. Data penelitian disajikan berdasarkan data sekunder yang telah diolah oleh masing-masing sekolah kemudian dikonfromotir kepada informan kunci dan inti yang mampu menjelaskan tata kelola inovasi pembelajaran untuk SMA. Tahapan dalam analisis data ditempuh langkah-langkah: (1) reduksi data, yaitu membuat abstraksi atau rangkuman; (2) penyajian data yaitu dengan mengambil yang pokok-pokok namun dapat dijamin kesahihannya; dan (3) kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa: 1) manajemen sekolah berperan penting dalam mewujudkan tata kelola yang baik dalam meningkatkan inovasi pembelajaran; 2) penerapan fungsi manajemen yang terencana, terarah, terlaksana, terkoordinasi dan terawasi menentukan pelaksanaan tata kelola yang transparan, partisipasi, akuntabel dan terkoordinasi; dan 3) penerapan manajemen sekolah yang berbasis tata kelola menghasilkan inovasi pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan, integrasi, aplikasi, aktivasi dan demonstrasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the application of cooperative learning type of student achivement division (STAD) on mathematics subject and to improve student aktivity and student learning result  in  mathematics learning on fifth grade of elementary school. This research  was classroom action reasearch conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and each meeting consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this reasearch were students at fifth grade of SD Negeri 25 Manado. There were 18 students as subjects of research.  The technique of gathering data was using test, observation and documentation.  The results showed that: (1) student activity in the first cycle 258.15 score or gain I 64,54% with the criteria was active enough and in second cycle obtained 303, 65 score or 75.91% with active criteria; (2) student learning result in the first cycle 44% and the second cycle 83%. Suggestions in this study was may the teacher have more creative by using learning media (audio or visual) to improve skill of teacher, student activity and learning result of student. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguraikan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) pada mata pelajaran matematika demi peningkatan aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar di kelas V SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan dan setiap pertemuan terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Adapun alur langkah-langkah PTK yang digunakan adalah langkah-langkah menurut Stephen Kemmis Robin Mctaggart Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 25 Manado. Adapun jumlah siswa yang ada adalah 18 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas siswa pada siklus I memperoleh skor 258,15 atau 64,54% dengan kriteria cukup aktif dan pada siklus II memperoleh skor 303,65 atau 75,91% dengan kriteria aktif; (2) hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 44% dan siklus II sebesar 83 %. Sedangkan yang menjadi saran yang diberikan adalah: hendaknya guru lebih kreatif dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran yang ada (baik audio maupun visual dst.) demi meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar, aktivitas siswa dan  hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and obtain information about the social studies learning process through WhatsApp media in grade 5 elementary schools. The research method uses descriptive qualitative because the aim is to analyze a problem that occurs. Qualitative research does not have the character of testing or rejecting a hypothesis, but tends to find new problems. In this study, it involved class 5 D homeroom teachers and 39 students of class 5 D at SDN Dewi Sartika CBM. The data collection technique uses primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data in the form of questionnaires and documentation in the form of photos and screenshot of social studies learning process carried out through WhatsApp media. The data analysis technique uses the stages of data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (data display) and drawing conclusions (conclusing drawing / verification). The result of this research is that learning conducted through WhatsApp is quite effective.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the procedure, to determine the quality of the product, to describe the level of student interest in mathematics in FPB and KPK. This research uses research and development methods. This research stage refers to the development stage according to ADDIE. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Inpres Paccerakkang who were suspected of being 12 people as the sample. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The two analyzes were carried out simultaneously. Based on the results of the validation, two instructional media experts gave an average score of 43 (SB) and 44 (SB) while the class teacher gave an average score of 41 (B) and 42 (SB). Furthermore, for small group trials it has increased. This is shown in the pretest obtained 58% or as many as 7 students who are complete while the posttest increase in completeness reaches 100% because all students complete in learning. Then student interest in learning also increased after the use of Dakota media that had been developed. This is shown in the average value of student interest in learning is 81 which is very good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of Cooperative learning model based on Hands  On Activity on the results of learning Natural Sciences (SCIENCE) in elementary school. Type of  research used quantitative research  with experimental  method (true experimental design) with posttest-only control design. The instruments used to collect data are posttests and observation sheets of student activities. The results showed that the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferenceal analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques known average value (mean) 73.74 and was in the low category of 43.48% while the average (mean) posttest was 86.96 was in a very high category of 91.32% the average value in posttest class experiments was higher than the average posttest value of control class and inferential statistical analysis using t test formula, it can be known that the calculated tvalue is 4,573 with (df) of 46 – 1 = 45, at a significant level of 5%, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Hands On Activity learning model on science learning outcomes  in elementary school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the development of e-learning teaching materials on Edmodo-based FPB and KPK materials and to determine the validity and practicality of Edmodo-based e-learning teaching materials that will be developed. This type of research is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The model used in this study is the 4D (four-D) model which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This research was conducted in grade 4 SD Negeri Jrahi 01, SD Negeri Jrahi 02, and SD Negeri Giling 03. The results of data analysis showed that the average result of the media validation questionnaire was 97% which means "can be used without revision", validation of material 92 % which means "can be used without revision", and practitioner validation is 95% which means "can be used without revision". While the average student response questionnaire results were 95.2%, which means "can be used without revision". The results showed that students liked Edmodo-based e-learning teaching materials because by using these teaching materials, students felt happy and enthusiastic about learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting styles and interest in learning elementary school age children in the Excellent Course. This research was carried out at the Excellent Course in November of the 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a quantitative research using correlation method with parenting style variable as independent variable and children's learning interest as dependent variable. Sampling was done using a saturated sampling technique where all members of the population were used as samples. The number of samples in this study were 20 children. Data collection using questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis used Pearson product moment correlation test. In the correlation test, the correlation coefficient is -1.9656 with of 2.101. Then is -1.9656 <2.101. This shows that there is no significant relationship between parenting styles and interest in learning for elementary school age children in the Excellent Course.

Abstract

This research was to find out: (1) the types of discourse markers used by the EFL students in argumentative text and (2) the functions of discourse markers used by the EFL students in argumentative text. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The respondents of this research were the second grade of EFL students; the total students were 30 students. The research data were collected by using an instrument namely writing activity. The writing consisted by argumentative text.  The data were analyzed qualitatively. The first important finding from this research was about the types of DMs used by the students’ in three kinds of different text, there are 30 types of DMs used by the students in the comparison and compare text and the second important finding was there are four category of functions used by the students in writing activity, they were contrastive markers, inferential markers, elaborative markers, and additional subclasses markers. Despite the fact that DMs can create a smooth talk or make the conversation more natural, the students should be able to use DMs wisely in term of fluency and coherence measured in the students’ writing.Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menemukan: (1) jenis pemarkah wacana yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam penulisan teks argumentatif dan (2) fungsi dari pemarkah wacana yang ada dalam penulisan teks argumentatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas dua dengan jumlah siswa ada 30 siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan sebuah instrumen yang bernama kegiatan menulis. Dalam kegiatan menulis ini menggunakan teks argumentatif, Data yang terkumpul dari kegiatan menulis ini kemudian akan di analisa secara kualitatif. Hal penting pertama yang telah ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis pemarkah wacana yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam tiga jenis teks yang berbeda, bahwa ada 30 jenis pemarkah wacana dalam teks argumentatif, Hal penting kedua yang telah ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada empat fungsi pemarkah wacana yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam kegiatan menulis, yaitu pemarkah perbedaan, pemarkah kesimpulan, pemarkah uraian, dan yang terakhir adalah pemarkah tambahan. Meskipun kenyataannya bahwa pemarkah wacana dapat membuat percakapan itu menjadi halus atau membuat percakapannya menjadi lebih lazim seperti kebiasaan, siswa seharusnya juga dapat menggunakan pemarkah wacana dengan bijak dalam kelancaran dan memperhatikan hubungan satu kata dengan kata lain dalam tulisan mereka.
