Abstract

Diesel engine as the prime mover or as an auxiliary motor is still very dominant use on the ship. Diesel engines can operate with the same four-stroke cycle gasoline engine with: intake, compression, combustion and exhaust. One advantage of the diesel engine is the fuel consumption is better than gasoline engines due to lower pumping loss and high compression ratio. Conversely, there are drawbacks, such as vibration and noise during operation and large this state will increase along with the deterioration of the quality of lubricants. To detect thecondition of lubricants can be done by measuring the viscosity and total base number (TBN) .. Nevertheless, every machine has different characteristics from each other, so as to know the condition of engine lubricant is casuistry anyway. In this case, replacement of engine lubricant boat with linearity approach is on a machine that has a high reliability aimed at determining the condition of engine lubricant according to the hours of operation.

Abstract

Much people know that the fighter only just defense and security when wars in the air. Then, dont know that the fighters had many generation and each generation have a different. Because of that, we will tells to the reader that transformation of the fighter performance in different generation have advantages and disadvantages in the performances. With the comparation that we built, so we know which are the biggest performance.

Abstract

Welding is the process of joining two metals to the point of metal recrystallization using either added or not material and using heat energy as a melting agent. In this study, different cooling variations on each specimen were carried out, the material used was ASTM A36 Plate, 3.2 mm diameter E7018 electrode, cooling used with Oil and Air. in the implementation of welding using the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) welding method. From the above understanding, research and testing are carried out including tensile tests, radiography / x-rays, and penetrants. The purpose of this study was to determine the strength and quality of welded joints that were not seen with the Destructive Test on the ASTM A36 plate and also to determine the effect of variations in oil and air cooling. From this study it can be found that the tensile strength values for specimen 1 (Oil ) is 373.06 MPa. While the value of tensile strength for specimen 2 (Air) is 365.31 MPa, this means that it has decreased by 7.75 MPa from the tensile strength of specimen 1 (Oil).

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi sekarang ini telah menghasilkan berbagai kreasi dalam segala hal yang bertujuan memudahkan segala aktifitas manusia. Ada berbagai sarana transportasi tersedia, mulai dari darat, udara, dan laut. Kendaraan yang diproduksi massal di negara kita umumnya kendaraan darat, salah satunya adalah kendaraan roda empat yaitu mobil.Connecting rod merupakan komponen mesin yang berperan untuk mengubah gerakan resiprok (maju mundur/turun naik) piston menjadi gerakan berputar (rotary) pada poros engkol. Dalam tugas akhir ini, menganalisa distribusi tegangan connecting rodpada mobil dengan menggunakan metode elemen hingga.Connecting rod yang dianalisa adalah connecting rodmobil dengan 1500 CC. Adapun material dari connecting rod ini ialah AISI 1045 cold drawn dengan kekuatan luluh (σy) sebesar530 N/mm2.Tujuan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk menganalisa tegangan yang terjadi pada connecting rod setelah dipengaruhi oleh tekanan statis. Setelah itu mencari nilai tegangan Von Mises yaitu tegangan maksimun dan tegangan minimum untuk mengetahui connecting rod ini dalam keadaan aman atau tidak dengan bantuan dari software Solidworks 2014. Setelah dilakukan analisa didapat bahwa tegangan Von Mises maksimum yang terjadi yaitu sebesar 39,74332 N/mm2 dan tegangan Von Misesminimum yang terjadi yaitu sebesar 0,00169 N/mm2. Dari hasil tersebut dapat dilihat nilai tegangan Von Mises berada di bawah batas izin tegangan yield material baja AISI 1045 sehingga connecting rod ini dapat dikatakan dalam keadaan aman.

Abstract

The government is still struggling to secure all the waters of the archipelago in maintaining and overseeing the security of its territory. This is due to the many islands that need human resources (HR) and require a lot of high-tech ships. So it is necessary to design a robot ElectricRemote Control Waterjet Patrol 80 (ERC_WP 80) which could serve as patrol boats and destroyers. Waterjet propulsion drive system has a motion if the vessel was excellent at relatively high speed boats and has good acceleration capabilities. Boats with jet propulsion system can operate in very shallow waters. This is due to all parts of the engine located under the hull, including propeller, shaft and shaft house. Waterjet advantages compared with the steering system / rudder is conventional waterjet propulsion system is able to turn the steering wheel with a smaller angle. Maneuverability and good seakeeping of a ship is strongly influenced by the shape of the hull. Selection of the hull shape is designed to perform parametric studies hull of the vessel Fast Patrol Boats comparator (KPC) 14 1 228 m and the vessel JS Patrol. On the back of the boat is made with a slope angle (chine angle) of about 20 degrees in order to gain the necessary lifting force without reducing the stability of the ship. While at the front end of the ship made a slope angle of about 30 degrees with the intent facilitate ship moving at high speed and reduce the impact when the waves break. Abstract

Testing is an experiment to know the change of mechanical properties and micro structure in JIS G 4051 S 15 C series steel which is previously was cooled with some variation of media such as immersion into water, oil and cooling in free air then the test include: chemical composition, hardness , Impact, Fractography and Metallography. From result of testing the chemical composition with main integer element got result: 0.15% C, 0.157% Si, 1.2% Mn, 0.01% P, 0.02% S. Hardness test results with Vickers method obtained 183 HV for original test object (original) , 182.66 HV for water-cooled test specimens, 190.33 HV cooled with oil and 196.33 HV cooled with air. While in the impact test the toughness value is 0.5 Joule / mm2 for the original test object, 0.39 Joule / mm2 water-cooled test specimens, 0.56 Joule / mm2 oil-cooled specimen, and 0.61 Joule / mm2 cooled test object With free air. In Fractography testing can not be further analyzed the type of fracture, because the photo does not showed the form of cracks or fault plot. While the metallographic results for the original test object or non heat treatment structure is Ferrite and Pearlit, after Hardening the structured remains Ferrit and Pearlit, there is a change in the structure form into Martensit. The mechanical properties generated after the testing process on the JIS G 4051 S 15 C steel have increased the toughness and decreased the hardness so that the steel can be summarize to be more resilient than the original.

Abstract

PT. X is an automotive manufacturing that produce kind of any vehicle on Indonesia. Bending process is one of process system in PT. X. As the biggest manufacturing which have so many consument in Indonesia,  on time delivery is an important things that have to kept costumer smile achievement. From the main factor before if any proces that related delay delivery have to fastly contermeasure and standardization guarantee for reoccurance problem. With using 6 step Kaizen methode and focus to bending frame assy process and frame assy robot process that give the biggest impact to delivery, so as this reason the author make a target for both process can be guaranted as process delivery.

Abstract

The light in the workspace should be set for a comfortable and healthy employees. If possible energy saving will be even better. In this research, the object of the case study is Computer Laboratory Room in the Faculty of Engineering UPN “Veteran” Jakarta. Problems were found in Computer Laboratory Room is a waste of energy if the lamp position higher than the lamp that hung using a rope. The electricity wastage would be better if it can be minimized, so that the university can take advantage of the budget is wasted on inefficient lighting for research activities and improvement of facilities in the university environment. So that savings can be achieved then the first step is to determine the formulation of the relationship between the intensity of light, lamp power and distance can use Multiple Linear Regression and Poisson regression methods. After processing the data and analysis can be seen equation fluorescent light: Lux Neon = exp (Y '), Y' = 4.248 + 0.04698 Watt Neon - 0.007542 Distance, and spiral lamps equation: Lux Spiral = exp (Y ') , Y '= 3.385 + 0.06330 Watt Spiral - 0.005169 Distance.

Abstract

The analysis of the resistivity of a wire based on the Wheatstone bridge method and the Ohm law method in physics experiment module has been done. The analysis of the resistivity of a wire was done in a physics laboratory at UPNVJ engineering faculty. This topic was studied because there has been no experiment in the themed of electricity in the physics experiment module at the faculty of engineering UPNVJ. The most popular method applied to obtain wire resistivity value is the Ohm law method. In order to enlarge the understanding of the electricity concept, this research needed other method that can be used to find out the wire resistivity namely the Wheatstone Bridge method. This research aimed to obtain the resistivity value of Nichrome wire from two different methods. The methods were the Ohm law method and the Wheatstone bridge method. In Ohm law method, the wire length was subsequent varied. Then, the electric voltage value and an electric current were recorded. While in the Wheatstone bridge method, it was used circuit bridge. The value of the variable resistor was varied and the segment length metal plate was measured. The data were processed in order to obtain the Nichrome wire resistivity values by linear regression method. From Ohm law method and the Wheatstone bridge method were respectively obtained the value of Nichrome wire was ρ±Δρ=(2,875±0,005)x10-6 Ωm and ρ±Δρ=(5,00±0,25)x10-6 Ωm. The results of the two methods are match with the value of the standard of the Nichrome wire is ρ=1,0x10-6 Ωm. By using the two methods, it was expected that the students’ understanding of the electricity concept was increasingly widespread.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi pada usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) sangatlah memilii peranan yang sangat penting dalam permbagunan ekonomi. Salah satunya yaitu di UD Aswad dan Son merupakan usaha kecil dan menengah kerajinan songkok yang berada di Wilayah Kecamatan Bungah Kabupaten Gresik. UD Aswad dan Son  ini didirikan pada tahun 1986 oleh Bapak H. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan kondisi objektif di UD Aswad dan Son, menganalisis posisi keunggulan bersaing menggunakan analisis SWOT. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan maka dapat simpulkan faktor-faktor kekuatan (strengths) mempunyai nilai skor sebesar 2.49, faktor-faktor kelemahan (weaknesses) mempunyai nilai skor sebesar 0.50, peluang sebesar 2.64 dan ancaman sebesar 0.42 yang berarti UD Aswad dan Son mempunyai kekuatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan faktor kelemahan dalam menentukan strategi pemasaran dalam meningkatkan daya saing. Sedangkan dalam menentukan pilihan strategi pada diagram cartecius ditunjukkan ada kuandran IB yang merupakan stable growth dengan skor S < O yaitu peluang pasar sangat berpengaruh pada UD. Aswan dan Son.
