AbstractThis paper discusses the 2016 information seeking behavior of Education Technology Department students at the Padang State University Library. The purpose of writing this paper is to describe: (1) information seeking behavior of 2016 Education Technology students at the Padang State University Library; (2) obstacles in conducting information searches at the Padang State University Library; (3) efforts that can be made to overcome obstacles in conducting information searches at the Padang State University Library. Data collection is done through questionnaires or questionnaires. Based on the results of the study concluded as follows: (1) information seeking behavior of Education Technology Department students in 2016 from the front information seeking behavior of students gave a positive response, (2) obstacles encountered in conducting information searches among them: (a) no information they need ; (b) the incomplete collection needed; (c) there are difficulties in finding collections because they are on different shelves than the OPAC system; (d) inadequate internet network; (e) the service of librarians who are unfavorable and unwise, (3) efforts that can be made to overcome obstacles in seeking information are: (a) providing and completing collections according to the needs of students and lecturers; (b) compile a collection rack that is compatible with the OPAC search engine, so that users can easily find the information they need; (c) improving internet network facilities so that they are not slow, because most students often use the internet to find information they need; (d) as a librarian, it is better to serve the user well and wisely so that they can help the users who find it difficult to find the information needed.Keywords: behavior, information, students, librarians.

The purpose of this paper is: (1) describe how the process of archives in archival unit depreciation Road Infrastructure Agency, Spatial Planning and Housing of West Sumatra province, (2) describe how the depreciation value of archives in archival unit for Road Infrastructure Agency, Spatial Planning and Settlement West Sumatra province, (3) to find out what are the constraints faced by archival unit Spatial Agency Road Infrastructure and Settlement in the province of West Sumatra and the archives shrinkage problem solving. Research done by: (1) observation, the observation in the archival unit, observations recorded are as where the condition of the room archives, archives conditions, completeness of facilities and materials to shrink the file, (2) interviews with archivists. The result is, the stages depreciation and depreciation records to archives in archival unit Agency Road Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Housing of West Sumatra province as a whole is running properly with depreciation criteria for a pretty good value too. Constraints faced is the lack of skilled labor, and frequent staff off and leave work at noon, making it difficult to perform depreciation archives with little power, also the lack of attention from head office so that the equipment and supplies needed to shrink the archives are often less satisfied. The study aims to know the role of The Regional Library West Sumatera in growing interest in reading the children. The research is a sort research of descriptive set which was done through the process of observation went straight through the interview process to the informant in the development and management of childâ€™s interest The Regional Library West Sumatera. The method of analisys is carried out in a descriptive. Based on the interview process has been identified that The Regional Library West Sumatera have done a number of programs to faster interest in children to reading. The library have a area for children, as well as the effort to local governments to supplement itâ€™s reading in children. In addition the government also estabilished a rapport with school in West Sumatera in general and the city of Padang at particural times. In accordance with the open interview process, there have been identified that a major constrait facing the area on the West Sumatera is a matter of funding to complete the materials reading, especially for children. In order to develop the interest reading of The Regional Library west Sumatera to do a program that supports childrenâ€™s creativity as having the painting and various other positive event.Keyword: children, reading, The Regional Library West Sumatera.

This article aims to describe how a mobile library management effectiveness in increasing public interest in KPAD; (2) Describe obstacles encountered in service in increasing public interest in KPAD bookmobile. The findings of the first study, the effectiveness of library management is a business that is achieved by a mobile library to achieve the goal, the goal of improving people's interest should also enhanced their knowledge towards the better. Second, faced in improving the public interest because of the lack of ministry officials visited the village library less because less satisfactory set time, society itself was less satisfying and less interest in reading inadequate facilities and infrastructure. Suggestions that should be done to optimize the effectiveness of library management in raising public interest is to improve the science community itself. One effort to do around the library as a means of informal education, source of knowledge and the dissemination of information is an appropriate means for the advancement of society. Abstract The study of this research in about creating a annoted bibliography obstetrics collection subjek in health ministry library of padang is aimed to describe the making of obstertrics annotated bibliography in poltekkes library. This bibliography is use the information references in helping users to find the collection or information needed rapidly and precisely through the inclusion of annotation in this bibliography. This research has been done by a descriptive method by visiting directly to ministry library of padang to observe and do some interviews. After the data analyzed, the conclusion explains some steps of creating a annoted bibliography obstetrics collection subjek in health ministry library of padang: (1) collecting the data; (2)availability of library collection; (3) library material selection ; (4) doing classification; (5)keyword creation; (6) index preparation; (7) typing a bibliographic script, and ; (8) final bibliographic script view.Keywords: creating, bibliographic, and midwifery.

This paper discusses about the behavior of information searcher in Public Library in Solok. (1) Describing how the behavior of information searcher in Public Library in Solok: (2) Describing how the availability of information in Public Library in Solok.This research uses qualitative and quantitative method by collecting the data through direct observing, and also direct interview with librarians. Further, the researcher also gives questioner to information searchers who come to Public Library in Solok. The data analysis is done descriptively. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that; First, the behavior of information searchers can be seen the strategy used by the researcher. The source of information that is often used by visitors of the library is textbooks. The information searchers come to the library in order to do their paper or assignment, and also as a place to interact one another. Second, the availability of information is not enough. The visitors of the library stated that if the information is not found in Public Library in Solok, they will go to bookstores. The next is the using of additional equipments. In searching information in the library, most visitors will go directly to bookshelves and find the book by themselves. Keywords: Behavior; information searcher; user; library

This article aims to determine: (1) how the implementation of user education in Padang State University Library; (2) the obstacles encountered in the implementation of user education in Padang State University Library; and (3) efforts in the face of constraints on the implementation of user education Padang State University Library. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians at the Library of the State University of Padang. Analyzing data descriptively.By analyzing the data, we can conclude the following: First, the implementation of user education in Padang State University Library uses a lecture and tour of the library. The medium used is a power point and printed materials. Understanding the material provided in the form of a library, the purpose of the library, library functions, types of collections, the room layout, how to browse through collections and library rules. Second, the obstacles encountered in the implementation of user education in Padang State University Library is not used a megaphone and a lack of instructors implementers when implementing user education. Third, the efforts made to overcome these obstacles is the library must provide a megaphone and add instructors implementers when implementing user education. In this paper discussed the Medical Records Application Development Planning Web-Based Application in Physiotherapy General Hospital Citra Bunda Medical Centrel Padang. This study aims to describe the application process managing medical records using the programming language PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) web-based application, this application is used as a tool to facilitate therapists in finding medical records of patients in the room physiotherapy General Hospital Citra Bunda Medical Centrel Kota Padang .This method of research used in this paper is descriptive method with qualitative approach. This method is an effective measure used in the manufacture of paper, that is by describing how making the application and explain in narrative form. Data were collected through observation and interviews directly to the General Hospital physiotherapy room Citra Bunda Medical Centrel Kota Padang. Based on the arrangement of medical records application creation using PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a web-based application, the manufacturing process can be summarized as follows: 1) creating a database using XAMP, on XAMP created tables or databases; 2) designing and designing the look of the application, in this case the application is designed according to the needs of therapists; 3) coding, ie the process of entering the programming language to run the program; 4) unites phpmyadmindengandatabase that has been created and linked to php using ODBC (Open Database Connectivity).Keyword: Medical record , Web Aplication.

AbstractThe study of this research in about procedures for carrying out archival storage and management in the Badan Pertanahan Nasional Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The purpose is to describe about file storage procedures and archive management in the Badan Pertanahan Nasional Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This research was carried out by descriptive method by visiting directly to the Badan Pertanahan Nasional in Pesisir Selatan Regency to observe and conduct interviews. After the data has been analyzed, the conclusions explain several steps in the file storage and management procedures for records in the offices of Badan Pertanahan Nasional Kabupaten Pesisir selatan: (1) survey of archives; (2) recording the land measuring number; (3) sorting archives; (4) archive bindings; (5) submission of archives; (6) archive storage.Keywords: archive, procedures, storage.

This paper discussed about the retrieval of library materials in the Library STKIP PGRI West Sumatera. This study aimed to determine the process of information retrieval and facets used by user in search of information in the Library STKIP PGRI West Sumatera. Data were collected through observation and interviews with user who come to visit the Library STKIP PGRI West Sumatera. Analyzing the data be descriptive. By analyzing the data, it was concluded the following. First Library STKIP PGRI West Sumatera use classification chart DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification), but in preparation at the library shelf STKIP PGRI West Sumatera not by DDC, but based courses available at STKIP PGRI West Sumatera. The process of finding library materials or books in the library by user STKIP PGRI West Sumatera done by directly looking for library materials or books needed to rack available without using search. User Library STKIP PGRI West Sumatera search for books or library materials required by their respective majors.
