ABSTRACTÂ The research was conducted to describe the sentence errors in the exposition text in some aspects (1) the structure of syntactical function (2) the lack of sentence element (3) the surplus of sentence element (4) the diction (word selection), and (5) spelling (capital letters, writting word, and punctuation). It employed a descriptive qualitative method. The instrument of this study was the researcher herself. The data of this study was the wrong sentences of exposition text of the students at grade VII 7 of SMP Negeri 12 Padang. The data were collected by borrowing the students exposition text from the teacher and copying. The data were analyzed by (1) stoctaking the data (2) identifyng the sentence errors (3) analysing the sentence errors, and (4) concluding the result of this study. The result shows. First, the sentence errors on syntactical function is an inappropriate use of predikat. Second, the sentence errors on lack of sentence element are not available the subject, predikat, and conjunction. Third, the sentence errors on the surplus of sentence element are the overlapping use of plural and repetition of words. Fourth, the sentence errors on diction (word selection) are an inappropriate concept used and collocation. Fifth, the sentence errors on spelling are writing the capital letters, writing the basic words, writing the derivative words, writing the repetition of words, writing prefix di-, writing the abbreviation words, writing the foreign words, and the error use of punctuation suchlike full stop and comma.Â Kata kunci: kesalahan kalimat, teks eksposisi

ABSTRACTÂ This article was written to look at the relationship between of the silent reading skills and the writing skills to summary of the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang. The data in this research was test score of the silent reading skills and test score of the writing skills to summary. The data were obtained through two types of tests, namely objective tests to measure the silent reading skills and test performance to measure the writing skills to summary. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was concluded the following three points. First, the silent reading skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang located on qualifications More than Enough (LDC) with the average value (75,48). Second, the writing skills to summary of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang located on qualifications More than Enough (LDC) with the average value (75,66). Third, there was a relationship between the silent reading skills and the writing skills to summary of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang at significant level of 95% with n-1 degrees of freedom, namely tarithmetic>ttable (30,75>1,68). Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 accepted because the test results prove that tarithmetic> ttable.Â Kata kunci: hubungan, membaca pemahaman, menulis rangkuman

ABSTRACTÂ This research is aimed to describe the influence cooperative model type think pair share concerning description essay writing skills of student class XI SMA Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. The research method of this study is experiment method with quasi experiment. The results of this study there was significant influence cooperative model type think pair share concerning description essay writing skills of student class XI SMA Negeri 1 Padang Panjang at significant level 95% with degrees of freedomÂ (n1+n2)-2, namely ttable <tarithmetic (1,70<5,43). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of ttable was smaller than tarithmetic.Â Kata kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, think pair share, teks eksplanasi.

ABSTRACTÂ This article is written to discuss the results of research on the contribution of listening skills rhyme to rhyme writing skills of students of class VII SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung. This research data in the form of score results rhymes listening skills and writing skills scores results rhymes. The data was obtained through two types of test, which is an objective test to measure listening skills rhymes and performance tests to measure the skills of writing rhymes. This research is a quantitative correlation method. The results of this research are three: (1) listening skills rhyme VII SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung currently on qualifications Good (B) with an average value of 77.28, (2) the skill of writing rhymes seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung located the qualification Good (B) with an average value of 77.27, and (3) listening skills contribute to the writing skills rhyme rhyme by 89.5% and the remaining 10.5% is influenced by other factors in this study.Â Kata kunci: kontribusi, menyimak, menulis, pantun

ABSTRACTÂ The aim of this study was to describe the shape, strategy and context of directive speech acts of Bahasa Indonesia at eleventh grade students in SMA N 15 Padang. The type of this research is qualitative research by using descriptive methods. The source of the data on the research of directive speech acts of Bahasa Indonesia is eleventh grade students of SMAN 15 Padang. The findings of this research is directive speech acts of Bahasa Indonesia as a speech act that has great chance to used during the discussion process that there were 106 utterances. Demanding speech acts have become a kind of speech act that is most often used with a percentage of 75.5%. Discussions strategy which is dominant use is a strategy speak frankly without further positive politeness to the context of formal speech acts as the background activity of the students in the classroom discussion.Â Kata kunci: Direktif, Strategi, Konteks

Â ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study describe (1) the ability of readingÂ news comprehension class X SMK Negeri 2 Painan, (2) the ability to writeÂ news class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Painan, (3) the relationship of reading news comprehension skills with the ability to write an news SMK Negeri 2 class X Painan. The data in this study were collected by using objective test and a performance test. The findings of the study (1) the ability of reading news comprehension class X students ofÂ SMK Negeri 2 Painan are in more than enough qualification (71,09), (2) the ability to write news class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Painan are more than enough to qualify (73,61), (3) there is a significant relationship between reading news comprehension skills with the ability to write news class X SMK Negeri 2 Painan.Â Kata kunci : membaca pemahaman berita, menulis berita

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this research wasto describe the influence of modeling technique that supported by the series picture media through the ability of writing the eksplanasi text by the VII gradestudents in SMPNegeri12 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative with experiment method and the research planning that used was one group pretest-posstest.Based on the results of data analysis it was concluded the following three points.First, the skills of writing eksplanasi textby the VII grade students in SMPNegeri12 Padang before using modeling technique that support the series picture media have the average that include Enough(60,94)in qualifications (C). Second, the skills of writing eksplanasi textby the VII grade students in SMPNegeri12 Padang using modeling technique received the series picture media have the average that include Enough(80,38) in qualificationsis good (B). Third, based on the result of uji-t, concluded that there was effects of modeling technique that supported the series picture media towards the skills of eksplanasi textby the VII grade students in SMPNegeri12 Padang because thitung> ttabel (8,34 > 1,70).Â Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik pemodelan berbantuan media gambar berseri, teks eksplanasi.

ABSTRACTÂ This research aims to (1) describe grade ability in writing news text without using PBL model, (2) describe grade ability in writing news text with using PBL model, and (3) describe the effect of the use of PBL model, toward studentsâ€™ ability in writing news text. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) the studentsâ€™ ability in writing news text without using PBL model is low and grades C with average 67,38, (2) the studentsâ€™ ability in writing news text with using PBL model is high and grades B with average 82,26, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis (HÂ1) is gained at the significant phase 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = (n1+n2)-2 because tcount> ttable (5,659>1,67).Â Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model problem based learning, menulis beritaÂ

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this research is describe the shape and strategy in activities of the discussion in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is a qualitative method descriptive. Data in this study is the shape and strategy of said expresive of students is a discussion activity. Based on the findings of research, we can conclude things here. There are six of the said thisplays used students in the discussion, which is say thank you, to say i am sorry, praising, criticizing, angry and complaining. The six of the said expressive was told by using four strategies are recalled, namely speak frankly without a word, speak frankly with a word modesty of the positive, speak frankly with further good manners and speak vaguely in the discussion. ABSTRACTÂ This article was written to determine at the contribution of news listening skills against the skills of writing mews the student of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang. This research with descriptive methods. The result of this study, there are three points. First, news listening skills is more than enough in qualifying (73,06). Second, news writing skills are in good qualifying (77,88). Third, news listening skills a contribution of 11,40% to the news writing skills the student of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang.Â Kata kunci: kontribusi, menyimak, menulis, berita
