Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study consists of three things as follows. First, it describes the level of reading skills in understanding the short stories of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. Secondly, it describes the level of short story writing skills of students of VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. Third, describe the relationship between reading skills understanding short stories and short story writing skills of students of VIII SMP Negeri 1 Padang. The variables of this research are the short story comprehension reading skills as the X variable and the short story writing text writing skills as the Y variable. The research data were the scores of the short story reading comprehension test skills of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang and the scores of the results of the short story writing skills text review of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang. The results of this study consisted of three things as follows. First, the reading skills of the short story comprehension of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang are in the Qualification More Than Enough with an average count of 67.01. Second, the short story writing skills of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang in short story writing are in the Fair qualifications with an average count of 62.15. Third, based on the results of the t-test, an alternative hypothesis was accepted at the 95% confidence level. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Membaca Pemahaman Cerpen, Menulis Teks Ulasan Cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study was to reveal the social criticism depicted in Djenar's Novel Nayla's works. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that is research by solving a problem that exists in the object. This study used a Socioligi approach to literary sociology theory. The data source in this study was Nayla's novel by Djenar Maesa Ayu. The research data is in the form of words and display of narrator sentences and story figures and story actions. Data collection is done by reading, understanding and analyzing the novel. The data analysis is done by interpreting the data with the theory used in the research. The data validation technique in this study has discussions with lecturers to obtain correct and true information. The results of this study were the social criticism of poverty, social criticism of crime, social criticism of family disorganization, social homosexual criticism, and social and environmental unrest. The conclusion of the results and the discussion that, the research is more to the social problems found in the novel. Kata kunci: kritik sosial, novel Nayla, Djenar Maesa Ayu.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article reveals the contribution of skills reading comprehension to writing skills text exposition grade students VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13. The purpose of this research there are three. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension  grade VIII SMP Negeri 13Padang. Second, it describes the writing skills text eksposition grade VIII SMP Negeri 13Padang. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate reading comprehension against writing skills text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri 13 Padang. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The  desain used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang are registered on the 13th school year 2019/2020, i.e. as many as 288 students. The sample in this  research are determined by propotional random sampling of 20% of the populations, i.e. 54 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension and score the writing skills test result text exposition. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text eksposition and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text eksposition. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on more than enough qualifications (LdC) by the value of the average 75.41. Second, the skills of writing text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.37. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the exposition of text to the skills of writing exposition texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 at 62.77%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis,                         Teks Eksposisi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the following matters. First, it describes the mastery of the vocabulary in the environmental field of class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Second, describing the explanatory writing skills of the eleventh grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Third, explaining the correlation between the mastery of environmental vocabulary and the writing skills of explanatory text for grade XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the results of the study, the following three things can be concluded. First, the vocabulary mastery of the environmental field of class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Padang is in good qualifications (77.85). Second, the explanatory text writing skills in class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Padang are in good qualifications (77.93). Third, there is a significant correlation between vocabulary mastery in the field of environment and writing skills in explanatory text for class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Padang on the degree of freedom n-1 and a significant level of 95% so that it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater ttable 4.93> 1.68. Kata Kunci:  Korelasi, Kosakata Bidang Lingkungan Hidup, Menulis Teks                     Eksplanasi

Abstract

Second, it describes the writing skills of expositon textgrade VIIIJunior High School 34 Padang. Third, explain the relationship between the reading skills in understanding of exposition text with writing skills of expositon textgrade VIIIJunior High School 34 Padang. This type of research correlation between the reading skills in understanding of exposition textwith writing skills of exposition text grade VIIIJunior High School 34 Padang is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the reslt of the study, the following three things concluded. First, the reading skills in understanding of exposition text are in good qualification (77.56). Second, the writing skills of exposition  on grade VIIIJunior High school 34 Padang are in good qalification (77.64). Third, there is a significant correlation between the reading skills in understanding of exposition text with the writing skills of exposition text grade VIII Junior High School 34 Padang at n-1 degress freedom and a sicnificant level of 95%. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Teks Eksposisi, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This purpose of this study is three. First, describing the procedure of writing text for students of class VII in Junior High School 20 Padang before using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images. Secondly, describing the procedure of writing text for students of class VII in Junior High School 20 Padang after using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images. Third, analyzing the effect of the use of project based learning models assisted by the media of serial images on the skills of writing procedure text for students of class VII in Junior High School 20 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with one group pretest and posttest design experimental methods. There are three results of this study. First, the procedure of writing text in the seventh grade of Junior High School 20 Padang before using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images is of sufficient qualification (C) with an average value of 62,76. Second, the procedure of writing text in the seventh grade of Junior High School 20 Padang after using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images is of good qualification (B) with an average grade of 78,52. Third, based on the t-test, H1 is accepted at the 95% confidence level and dk = (n-1) because tcount>ttable (6,25>1,82).  Kata Kunci:  Pengaruh, Model Project Based Learning, Media Gambar Berseri, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Prosedur

Abstract

First, the skills of writing text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 76,42. Second, comprehension text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on more than enough qualifications (LdC) by the value of the average 73,95. Third, there is a contribution of comprehension in the news of text to the skills of writing news texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 at 15,37%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the implementation of learning speaking skills in class XII Natural Sciences Adabiah Padang. In this study, the implementation of learning includes three main components, namely: (1) learning material for speaking class XII SMA Adabiah Padang, (2) learning methods of speaking class XII SMA Adabiah Padang, and (3) evaluating speaking learning class XII SMA Adabiah Padang. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research was conducted in the SMA Adabiah Padang. The data in this study were observation, interviews, and study documentation about the understanding and implementation of learning speaking skills conducted by Indonesian language teachers at SMA Adabiah Padang, which were obtained from data sources. The techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Techniques used to analyze data are data identification, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research findings and research results, the following three things can be concluded. (1) The use of learning materials in SMA Adabiah Padang has implemented learning materials with excellent categories. Teaching material is selected and determined with consideration and attention to problems, including (a) the objectives to be achieved to be relevant, (b) the level of students' thinking ability, (c) the scope (scope) and sequences need to be arranged so that it is systematic and clearly, and (d) time and equipment are also considered. (2) The application of learning methods in SMA Adabiah Padang has implemented the learning methods in very good categories because it has used many methods in the learning process such as the question and answer method, lectures, assignments, discussions, and demonstrations. (3) The evaluation of learning in SMA Adabiah Padang is good. The teacher evaluates speaking skills with the appropriate aspects, namely intonation, pronunciation, fluency, expression, appearance, and gesture. Kata Kunci: Pelaksanaan, Keterampilan, Berbicara, Mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

Second, decsribes the skill level of writing the text explanatory grade VIII SMPN 20 Padang after using the Discovery Learning model. Third, analyzing the influence of use Discovery Learning model ti the skill level of the writing text explanatory grade VIII SMPN 20 Padang. This research used quantitative research which experimental method. This research draft is One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Based on the reslt of the study, the following three things concluded. First, the explanatory text writing skills before using the Discovery Learning model of grade VIII SMPN 20 Padang are in qualification more than enough (LdC) with an average of 68,55. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the reading comprehension skills of the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. Second, describe the writing skills of the description text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. Third, describe the correlation of reading comprehension text description with the description writing skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The design used in this study is a corelasinoal design. The population of this research is class VII students of Padang Panjang State Junior High School registered in the 2018/2019 school year, which is 192 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, that is 48 students. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the reading comprehension test scores of the description text description and the scores on the writing of the description text skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests namely objective tests to measure reading comprehension text skills and performance tests to measure description text writing skills. Based on data analysis and discussion, three research results are obtained as follows. First, reading comprehension text skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang are in good qualifications. This can be seen from the acquisition of an average of 81.35. Second, the description writing skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang are in good qualifications. This can be seen from the acquisition of an average of 77.15. Third, there is a significant relationship between reading comprehension text description skills and description writing skills for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between reading comprehension and description text writing skills with the description text of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang at n-1 degrees of freedom and a significant level of 95%. So, it was concluded that the higher the reading comprehension skills of students 'description texts, the higher the students' writing description text skills. Kata kunci: Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan                    Menulis, Teks Deskripsi, Korelasi
