Abstract

This research is a philology research. The object of this research is text Ini Syair Lampung Karam Adanya. The method used in this research is four steps. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of forming reciprocal verbs and reciprocal verb meanings in the news text in the Haluan newspaper edition September-October 2018. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The findings of this study are (1) the process of forming reciprocal verbs in the news text of the September-October 2018 there are seven, namelyn(1) prefixes (2) confixes, (3) models (D + ( R + meN)), (4) model (D + (R + meN - / - i)), (5) model (mutual + (D + meN - / - i)), (6) model (mutual + ( D + meN)), and (7) model (mutual + (D + meN - / - kan)); and (2) the reciprocal verb meanings in the news text of the September-October 2018 there are two, namely (1) the existence of relations between the two parties, and (2) the existence of "lame" actions for reversible activities.Keywords: reciprocal verbs, formation process, meaning, bow newspaper

Abstract

The aims of this article to present the story about Nuh As in Latin script and Indonesian language, so it can be read and understood by the community and also havemessage and moral value by the community. The data of research is the  story of Nuh As,the story have another version such as from theprophets Azhari Al-Khalidi Rahmatullah written using scriptArabic-Malay and Malay language. The design of the research was descriptive research. Rather script usedrather script method andtranslation used method of translation. The results of this research is availability ofNuh text story in Latin script and Indonesian language. Rather script andtranslation done while maintaining the purity of the old language in the script basedon EYD. The storyof Nuh text tell abaout starting life Nuh and the struggle to upholdAllah Swt. religion.Based on the story of Nuh characreristic of avariety of vocabulary converting the old language​​ from this text. Abstract

This study was conducted to describe the shape and use of kinship and unkinship greeting words in the language Minangkabau villagers of Kampung Baru.The use of the word greeting kinship consists of greeting based on the nuclear family and the extended family based. Greetings unkinship include common greeting, occupation, religion, and customs. The research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The informants are two women and one man.Background this study is the village of Kampung Baru Pariaman Tengah District Pariaman Downtown. The instrument of this study is the researchers themselves to use a tape recorder, recording sheet, and stationery. The data collection method used in this study conversation with fishing techniques. Data validation study using triangulation techniques. Analyzing data of this research through the following steps: (1) a data inventory phase; (2) the stage of data classification; (3) the stage of data description. The results of this study as follows: found (1) 82 shapes and the use of the word greeting kinship, which consists of 22 forms of the word greeting kinship based on the nuclear family, 60 shapes and the use of the word greeting kinship based on the extended family. (2) 41 shapes and the use of the word greeting unkinship, namely, 11 shapes and the use of the word common greeting, 13 shapes and the use of the word greeting positions, 12 shapes and the use of the word religious greeting, five shapes and using the customary greeting. Implications of the use of the word greeting Minangkabau language in terms of kinship and unkinship greeting word still used in accordance with the politeness prevailing in society the village of Kampung Baru.Keywords: greeting words, kinship, unkinship, implication, languange    Minangkabau.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the religious values related to creed, sharia, and morals depicted in the speech and behavior of the characters in the novel Ketika Tuhan Jatuh Cinta by Wahyu Sujani. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection is done by (1) reading the novel Ketika Tuhan Jatuh Cinta by Wahyu Sujani, carefully in order to understand the story and character of characters in the novel; (2) marking a part of the novel that contains religious values in the novel Ketika Tuhan Jatuh Cinta by Wahyu Sujani; (3) inventory of religious values data contained in the novel Ketika Tuhan Jatuh Cinta by Wahyu Sujani. The data validation technique used in this study is a detailed description technique. Analyzing the data is done by (1) identifying and classifying the data that has been collected to describe it as the aspect under study; (2) analyzing the data according to its categories; (3) interpret or interpret the data of religious values obtained; (4) conclude and write a research report. Based on the results of the study, the following matters can be concluded. (1) The religious values contained in the novel Ketika Tuhan Jatuh Cinta by Wahyu Sujani are (a) the values of faith, such as faith in God, faith in the Angels of God, faith in the book of God, faith in the apostles of God, faith in the day end, faith in Qada and Qadar; (b) sharia values, such as prayer, prayer, dhikr, dress, marriage; (c) moral values, such as morals to God, morals to families, morals to oneself, and morals to others: (2) Religious values depicted in character's speeches and behavior are (a) character's speech and narrator's speech; (b) the character's behavior towards God; character's behavior towards family; the character's behavior towards himself; character's behavior towards others.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the shape, strategies and function of speech acts parking attendants in Balai Tangah Market’s Sub-District Lintau Buo Utara on Tanah Datar District. The data of this study is speech acts parking attendants. Sources of data in this study is spoken language parking attendants. Data were collected by using scrutunize, tapping, note, observation, and interview. The results of the study are (1) forms of speech act parking attendants is directive, expressive, and representative, and (2) Strategies of speech acts parking attendants is speak overt without courtesy, speak overt with preamble positive politeness, and speak overt with preamble negative politeness, and (3) the function of speech act sparking attendants is competitive functionality, cooperating and conflicting.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the traditional question structure of the community in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang, Koto XI Subdistrict, Tarusan, South Pesisir Regency: (2) the category of traditional questions of the community in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang, Koto XI Subdistrict, Tarusan, South Pesisir Regency: (3) Community Social Functions in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang Koto XI Subdistrict Tarusan South Pesisir Regency. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. This research data is a traditional question of the community in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang, Koto XI Sub-District, Tarusan, South Pesisir Regency. Data were collected from informants through interview techniques, observation and recording of interviews with informants. Based on the results of the study found the following: (1) the structure of traditional community questions in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang, Koto XI Subdistrict Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan Regency consists of: (a) traditional questions that are contradictory, and (b) traditional questions that do not contradict: (2 ) category of traditional community questions in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang Koto XI Subdistrict Tarusan Pesisir Selatan Regency consists of: (a) similarities with living things, (b) similarities with animals, (c) similarities with some animals, (d) similarities with humans, (e) similarities with some people, (f) similarities with plants, (g) equality with objects, (h) equation with parables, (i) equation with form and function, (j) equation with matter, and (k) equation with actions: (3) the social function of the traditional question of the Community in Kenagarian Sungai Pinang, Koto XI Sub-district Tarusan, South Pesisir Regency consists of: (a) testing the intelligence of others, and (b) amuse.Keywords: Structure, Category, Social Function

Abstract

The purpose of this article: (a) to describe story of episode novel Bidadari-bidadari Surga created by Tere Liye, (b) to describe story of episode film Bidadari-bidadari Surga director by Sony Gaokasak, (c) to describe similar and different story of episode novel with film Bidadari-bidadari Surga. The Data of this study were story of episode novel Bidadari-bidadari Surga created by Tere Liye and film Bidadari-bidadari Surga director by Sony Gaokasak. Analyzed technique do with ekranisasi or transformasi theory. The findings of the study showed that the decrease story of episode novel Bidadari-bidadari Surga created by Tere Liye in film Bidadari-bidadari Surga director by Sony Gaokasak become to 85 story of episode. Increase story of episode in film Bidadari-bidadari Surga director by Sony Gaokasak become to 40 story of episode. The happening of change of event variation, figure, and novel story episode background in novel Bidadari-bidadari Surga created by Tere Liye and film Bidadari-bidadari Surga director by Sony Gaokasak become to 35 story of episode.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of adjective formation in the Minangkabau language in Nanggalo Subdistrict, Padang City. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data of this study are the adjectives used by the people in Nanggalo Subdistrict, Padang City. The methods and techniques of data collection are carried out through two stages simultaneously, namely the smak method and proficient methods with detailed description techniques. The technique of analyzing data is done by identifying and classifying data based on groups, namely the process of forming adjectives. Based on the results of research and discussion, conclusions can be drawn as follows. The process of forming Minangkabau language adjectives in Nanggalo Subdistrict, Padang City is as follows: (1) affixed namely (a) prefix, (b) confix, and (c) combination of affixes, (2) duplicated namely (a) repeating all (dwilinga) and (b) confix R + infix, reset all + an, (3) compound namely (a) coordinative and (b) sub-coordinative, and (4) combined prefixes namely (a) A + R and (b) R + A.Keywords: Adjectives, Word-forming, Minangkabau Language

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research to describe violations of the principles of linguistic politeness regent in West Sumatera in the social media. This study uses qualitative research in descriptive form. The data of this research was social media regent in West Sumatera Barat, especially Facebook. The steps used in the form of screenshoting, transcribing, observing, and clasificating the data include in the violation of linguistic politeness. The analysis of data is done through classifying data, analyzing data, interpreting data, and drawing conclusions. The result of data analysis show that from 450 sentence of regent in West Sumatera, found the use principle of linguistic politeness as 439 sentences and who violated as 11 sentences. Based on the results of the data can be concluded the speech regent in West Sumatera in social media categorized polite.Keywords: linguistic politeness, regent, social media
