Abstract

More than 750 million additional persons are added to the world population each year due to the prevalence of chronic renal disease. The Global Burden of Chronic Kidney Disease Study conducted in 2017 found that chronic kidney disease is directly responsible for roughly 2.59 million deaths worldwide caused by impaired kidney function. Dialysis is a life-prolonging treatment that is administered to about 78.8 percent of chronic renal failure patients across the world. The purpose of this research is to evaluate whether or not there is a correlation between the appropriateness of hemodialysis treatment and the quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure who are receiving treatment at the RSU. Royal Prima Medan 2022. Methodologies such as descriptive analysis and cross-sectional research are utilized in this kind of investigation. In this study, a total of 25 people were randomly selected for participation in the study using the accidental sampling approach. According to the findings of the chi-square test, which had df = 2 and a p value that was less than 0.05, the hypothesis of Ho was not supported. As a consequence of this, the provision of proper hemodialysis has a significant bearing on the quality of life enjoyed by patients who suffer from chronic renal failure. It is anticipated of respondents that they will have an understanding of the function and purpose of the hemodialysis adequacy process in line with the recommendations for hemodialysis prescriptions in order to attain a good quality of life.

Abstract

Student activities in front of the computer for too long can be at risk of causing myofascial pain syndrome. With the MPS, it can cause a decrease in the functional ability of the neck. To overcome these disorders, the actions that can be given are in the form of progressive muscle relaxation exercises and McKenzie neck exercises, the purpose of giving a combination of ROP and McKenzie neck exercises is to increase the subjective experience that physiological tension can be relaxed, then restore normal neck alignment, and help reduce pain. So that it is able to provide an increase in the functional ability of the neck. Objective: To determine the effect of the combination of progressive muscle relaxation and McKenzie neck exercise on the functional ability of myofascial pain syndrome of upper trapezius muscle in college students. Research Methods: This study used a pre-experimental one group pretest and posttest with a total sample of 10 students who were given a combination of progressive muscle relaxation exercises and McKenzie neck exercise and carried out for 2 weeks a day 2 exercises. This study uses the Neck Disability Index as an instrument for measuring the functional ability of the neck. Research Results: The results of data analysis using the paired T-test showed a significance value of (0.000), therefore the P value <0.005, where H1 was accepted. Conclusion: There is an effect of a combination of progressive muscle relaxation and McKenzie neck exercise on increasing functional ability in cases of myofascial pain syndrome the upper trapezius muscle in KM HSS students in the Malang Region.

Abstract

Background: Students often use gadgets for learning needs for a long time, and most of them do not pay attention to ergonomic body positions and tend to be in a static state. This causes tension in the muscles around the neck and shoulders that triggers point, resulting in myofascial pain syndrome in the upper trapezius muscles. This has an impact on student productivity. Objective: to determine the effect of the combination of progressive muscle relaxation and mckenzie neck exercise on the pain intensity of upper trapezius muscle myofascial pain syndrome in college student. Methods: this study used a pre-experimental design (one group pre-test and post-test). The subjects of this study were KM-HSS students in malang area, totaling 20 people. This research was conducted for 14 days in 2 times a day. The measuring instrument in this study used the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) as a pain scale measuring instrument. Results: this study showed that there was a significant effect before and after being given a combination exercise on pain intensity in myofascial pain syndrome on the upper trapezius with p = 0.000 (p<0.005). Conclusion: There is an effect of a combination of progressive muscle relaxation an mckenzie neck exercise on the pain intensity of myofascial pain syndrome cases of upper trapezius muscle in KM-HSS students in the Malang area.

Abstract

The duration of labor has a risk of causing perinatal death twice as high as normal delivery. The duration of this second stage in primiparas and multiparas is different, namely in primiparas it lasts 1.5-2 hours while in multiparas it lasts 0.5-1 hours. Efforts that can be made by pregnant women so that delivery runs smoothly can be controlled by doing pregnancy exercises. This study aims to determine the relationship between participation in pregnancy exercise and the duration of the second stage of labor in primigravida at the Pratama Bunda Tessa Lubuk Pakam Clinic in 2022. This type of research is a quantitative study with a descriptive correlation design through a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all primigravida mothers who had delivered at the Mother Tessa Primary Clinic as many as 30 people. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 30 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet which was analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that 50% of primigravida mothers who followed pregnancy exercise routinely and 50% who did not participate in pregnancy exercise. The duration of the second stage of labor in primigravida was normal (46.7%), fast (33.3%) and slow (20%). Through the chi-square test obtained p-value = 0.006. The conclusion of this study is the relationship between pregnancy exercise participation and the duration of the second stage of labor in primigravida. So it is hoped that the Mother Tessa Primary Clinic will provide Health Education to pregnant women about the causes of the length of labor, especially in the second stage. And it is also hoped that the clinic can maintain and implement policies for implementing pregnancy exercise for pregnant women, especially primigravida mothers, in an effort to maintain fitness and prepare physically and mentally in the delivery process.
