Abstract

Population issues are a crucial factor in conducting development to achieve people's welfare. Population migration has an impact, either directly or indirectly, on aspects of life such as social, economic, health, and environmental impacts. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the population's decision to conduct internal migration in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data sourced from the Indonesian Household Life Aspect Survey (SAKERTI) or the Indonesian Family Life Survey wave 5 (IFLS-5) or known as IFLS 2014. The data analysis method used is the probit regression model analysis using the version 14 Stata program. The results showed that the variables that significantly influence the population's decision to conduct internal migration in Indonesia are income, work status, education, age, number of family members, marital status, residence ownership status, and agricultural land ownership. Meanwhile, gender variables and public transportation facilities do not affect the population's decision to conduct internal migration in Indonesia.

Economic activity also under pressure from the existence of pandemic covid-19, in which economic activity is a source of air pollution for a large part of the country. The purpose of the study to find out the impact of pandemic covid-19 and economic growth on air quality during the pandemic is in 2020. The research method uses a multiple regression approach with a sample count of 80 countries. The results showed that economic growth has no impact on improving air quality and does not prove the environmental Kuznets curve between development and air pollution. In contrast, the increase in cases of covid-19 has the effect of lowering air pollution in each country. This condition occurs because covid restricts the population to activities, which also affects the activities of the company to produce.

Therefore, this study attempts to investigate the factors that influence the user's perception of confidence in mobile banking services. This model was tested empirically using an online survey from a convenience sampling of 95 respondents and analyzed using SEM PLS. This study estimates that six variables (perceived credibility, perceived benefits, security risks, privacy risks, social influence, and perceived behavioral control) directly impact perceived trust in mobile banking. The results, in particular, perceived benefits positively affect perceived trust in mobile banking, followed by social influence, security risk, and privacy risk has power on perceived trust in mobile banking. On the other hand, perceived credibility and PBC show no significant effect on the belief of mobile banking users.

Abstract

The infection of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is tremendously massive, which has never been happened previously in the modern era. In the condition of uncertainty due to COVID-19, the agriculture sector becomes the guarantee to the fulfillment of food for 267 million Indonesian people. Even though the disruption towards food production and agriculture hasn’t been seen visibly in the field, the results of the analysis mentioned that the impact of COVID-19 infection will cause a limited food supply and an increase in price in the impacted area. For all this time, the agriculture sector is assumed as the only sector that could survive during the turmoil and crisis. In addition, agriculture is considered the strongest sector in maintaining the stability of Indonesian economics. This research aims to identify the performance of the agriculture sector in Central Java Province amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in the period of first to the third quarterly. The assessment applies the Input-Output analysis method. Secondary data are employed in this research. The study indicates that during the pandemic, the agriculture sector demonstrates the demand enhancement of final output, yet the household’s income and job opportunities are decreased, as recorded. It is due to this sector becoming a buffer by the existence of the COVID-19 pandemic since the agriculture sector can survive and becomes the focus of economics in Central Java.
