Abstract

The study arms to analyze the impact of changes in wages manufacturing sector’s output andemployment in the manufacturing sector in Central Java Province, and to analyze the manufacturingsector linkages with other sectors, both connections to the forward and backward linkages in CentralJava Province. To analyze the manufacturing sector linkages analysis used backward and forwardlinkages. While to analyze the impact of a wage increase manufacturing sector’s output and employment, the first step taken is to determine the amount of wage increase manufacturing sector which then serveas a shock. The second step is to analyze the influence of wage increases shock on output andemployment in the manufacturing sector in Central Java Province. In this study use Input Output tablesof Central Java in 2004. The result showed that 35 sub sectors in manufacturing industry sector basedon I_O tables of Central Java in 2004, 25 sub sectors have relevance to a larger rear. The increase inwages in manufacturing sector in 2005 led to the manufacturing industry sector in Central Java toincrease its output of 2,879,359.31 million dollars. Abstract

AbstractThe classical school of liberalism, born in the eighteenth century to the middle of the nineteenth century, states that government intervention is kept to a minimum in the economy (laissez faire laissez passer), since interference actually causes distortion. The economy has the ability to return to the balance position automatically. Classical adherents such as Adam Smith, Jeremy Bentham, Thomas Robert Malthus, Robert Owen, David Ricardo, Jean Baptiste Say, Antoine Augustine Cournot and John Stuart Mill, believe that the free market system will bring about an efficient level of economic activity over the long term. Full employment will always be achieved and the economy will experience steady growth. Keywords: classical school, laissez faire laissez passer, efficient economic activityJEL classification: B12, B21

Abstract

In the era of globalized demands readiness state or area to be able to compete. This study dug condition flagship cluster in Central Java that is industrial metal casting in Klaten Regency. Methods of analysis using qualitative and quantitative analysis (R/C Ratio; Analytical Hierarcy Process). Using primary data as well as secondary data collected from selected samples or related institutions. Those results found: (1) the actors cast metal Small medium enterprises (SME) efforts largely have joined in a group/cluster (2). Based on the analysis of the feasibility of the effort, all the effort in the area of the cluster of decent run because it has a value of R/C ratio is more than 1 (one) (3). Industrial cluster development priority scale cast metal are: marketing, production aspects, aspects of the infrastructure, institutional aspects, and managerial aspects.

Abstract

Wonosobo Regency have tourism potential that has not been developed optimally. This potential can be seen from foreign tourists visiting the country with the fourth highest of all regencies in Central Java. But unfortunately from year to year conditions in Wonosobo Regency sights is getting worse and reduce the attractiveness of a tourist attraction itself. Therefore to determine the real cause, the study aims to analyze the efficiency of each of the attractions in the Wonosobo Regency. Research was conducted by interview, observation, and documentation that is of primary data and secondary data. Sampling method used is Quoted Accidental Sampling intended for anyone visitors who happened to be traveled and the added tourism managers as a key person. Number of samples is 120. The results showed that the calculation of input-output six existing attractions in Wonosobo Regency by using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is known there are five attractions that have reached the level of efficiency and one of the attractions that have not been efficient, with an efficiency of only 34,25%. Attractions that have not been efficient can refer to other attractions that have been streamlined in order to improve its efficiency score.

Abstract

Economic growth of a region can be measured by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Economic growth in Central Java region during the observation period tends to be fluctuative and lower than any other economic growth in Java’s other region.. This research purposed to analyse local revenue, investments (in this case, investment can be observed based on Foreign Investments and Domestic Investments) and the number of labor force against economic growth in Central Java during 1992 – 2011. This research using double linear regression model and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method to analyze data.. This research using time series data, start from 1992 until 2011. Research methods using multiple regression analysis approach, which is using 20 years periodical data. The result of data analysis indicate that local revenue, foreign investments and labor force are likely to give positive and significant effect towards GDP in Central Java. Based on F Test’s result under reliability rate of 95 %, F calculation determined in the amount of 41.67768 under probability values 0,0000. It means that the previous variable (local revenue, foreign investments, and labor force) simultanously affects the GDP in Central Java region.

Post expansion region in 2000,economic growth banten province tended to increase but followed with inequality will also increase. This research use 1) williamson Index, 2) Klassen typology, and 3) Analysis of panel data by method fixed effect  model (FEM) with the time research 2001-2011. The results showed that the level of inequality in Banten Province development tend to increase. Based on klassen Typology, tangerang and cilegon municipality is at a group of regional forward and fast growing, tangerang to a group of developing areas quickly and other areas located in the prologue and the left.  Panel data analysis results with the method of FEM, foreign direct investment (FDI) and government  expenditure affect positif and negative against inequality, while the unemployment rate variable has no effect against the inequality of development in Banten Province after the expansion region.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze technical efficiency in education sector with case study in 11 Public Senior High School (SMAN) at Semarang Regency in academic year 2008/ 2009 up to 2011/ 2012. This study applying Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). DEA is designed as a specific to measure relative efficiency a productical unit which is using multi input and output,  that commonly difficult to investigate perfectly when using the others analytical technic measurement. A productical unit’s relative efficiency is comparison of efficiency between productical unit  with the other in sample which are using the same kind of input and output.  This study use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, which is using Variabel Return to Scale (VRS) assumption. The input variable was representated by student teacher ratio, student class ratio, student administrative staff ratio, teacher education ratio, and ratio of the teacher experience. Output variable consist of the average value of national exam, the percentage of graduation rates, and the percentage increase in the number of the class. The study show that there are several Decision Making Units (DMU) which have perfect efficiency, they are SMAN 1 Getasan, SMAN 1 Tengaran, SMAN 1 Suruh, SMAN 1 Susukan, SMAN 1 Pabelan, SMAN 1 Tuntang, SMAN 1 Ambarawa, SMAN 1 Ungaran, dan SMAN 2 Ungaran. Sensitivity test in this study aims to determine the DMU, which became the best reference. By ignoring one of the inputs, an efficient DMU is SMAN 1 Pabelan, SMAN 1 Susukan, SMAN 1 Ambarawa, SMAN 1 Ungaran, and SMAN 2 Ungaran. If one and some DMU ignored, all efficient DMU remain efficient.
