Abstract

 Located in the downstream watershed, Manado city is at risk of hydrometeorological disasters such as flooding every year, especially in conjunction with high tides. One solution to the city's flooding problem is to provide flood water storage by building the Sawangan dry dam in North Minahasa Regency. In building a dam, dam safety is a very important requirement to minimize disaster risks for the community such as property losses and damage to infrastructure downstream of the dam. Dam safety is highly dependent on the accuracy of planning and during construction. The safety of a dam also depends on the operation stage, the implementation of maintenance, as well as intensive and continuous supervision, monitoring the behavior of the dam and its building facilities. The purpose of the geotechnical instrumentation analysis study of Sawangan Dam in North Minahasa Regency is to determine the ideal geotechnical instrumentation needs in the process of optimal and periodic observation of dam behavior. Geotechnical parameters affect dam behavior due to soil strength related to pore water pressure, water seepage, deformation characteristics of foundation and embankment materials during construction and after construction. Determination of the amount of geotechnical instrumentation installed at Sawangan Dam is based on technical data of the dam dimensions. Based on the analysis conducted, the required geotechnical instrumentation components are; pore water pressure gauges, dam deformation gauges installed inside and outside the embankment, groundwater level gauges, seepage gauges, reservoir water level gauges, and other supporting components. By installing geotechnical instrumentation using telemetry systems or integrated computer systems, data acquisition, management and security are easier.

Abstract

As the population increases, the water demand is also increasing. The river flow is the dominant water source to fulfill the needs of human life, so the river should always be kept sustainable, the way to keep is by trying the cross-sectional capacity of the river stable from sediment deposits. Indulung River is one of the rivers in Tarakan City which is experiencing siltation due to sedimentation. Total sediment analysis was conducted to obtain the value of sediment transport and to obtain a method that can be used as a benchmark in determining the total sediment discharge in the Indulung River, using the Yang method and Bagnold method. From the research results, the average sediment discharge using the Yang method is 4.34 tons/year and Bagnold's method is 2.01 tons/year. Based on the recapitulation, which produces the largest value is the Yang method, with a value of 4.34 tons/year, the Yang method is used as a benchmark for other sediment transport methods.

Abstract

Ngasem District, Kediri Regency is an area that is close to educational centers, shopping centers, and tourism areas, so it is suitable to build housing in the area. However, there were several residents' houses that were damaged, such as cracked floors and walls. One of the contributing factors is the condition of the soil. This study aims to conduct a soil investigation to determine the characteristics of the soil in the area by using laboratory tests including sieving gradation tests, atterberg limits, compaction and soil shear strength and the results show that the soil in the area is classified as SW-SC soil, namely well graded sand with a little clay mixture so it has low plasticity. In addition, the maximum dry unit weight was 1.76 gr/cm3, the optimum moisture content was 15.38% from the compaction test and the cohesion value was 0.894 kPa and the shear angle was 29.685° from the shear strength test. The results of this study can be useful in providing an overview of soil characteristics as a reference in construction projects.Keywords: soil characteristics, SW-SC soil, atterberg boundaries, Ngasem District

Abstract

The flow that has a free surface is a form of water flow in an open channel. However, the flow of water in open channels is not always the same, due to topographic differences along the channel. This results in a difference in the value of the flow velocity and the value of the discharge. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study on discharge on flow velocity and wet cross-sectional area in different types of channels. The type of channel used in this study is a turning channel and a non-uniform channel, both of which are located in the Yogyakarta Mataram Channel. The data used is secondary data obtained from previous research in the form of channel cross-section data and flow velocity in each channel. The results of the analysis show that the discharge in both types of channels has the same curve pattern as the average flow velocity curve. Then the suitability of the two curve patterns is influenced by the value of the wet cross-sectional area, where the greater the value of the wet cross-sectional area, the greater the value of the discharge, and vice versa.Aliran yang memiliki permukaan bebas merupakan salah satu bentuk aliran air pada saluran terbuka. Meskipun demikian aliran air pada saluran terbuka tidaklah selalu sama, karena adanya perbedaan topografi di sepanjang saluran. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan adanya perbedaan nilai kecepatan aliran dan nilai debit aliran. Oleh karenanya perlu dilakukan suatu penelitian mengenai debit aliran terhadap kecepatan aliran dan luas penampang basah pada jenis saluran yang berbeda. Jenis saluran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu saluran berbelok dan saluran aliran tidak seragam, yang mana kedua jenis saluran tersebut berlokasi di Saluran Mataram Yogyakarta. Adapun data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari penelitian sebelumnya berupa data penampang saluran dan kecepatan aliran di masing-masing saluran. Hasil analisis yang didapat bahwa nilai debit aliran di kedua jenis saluran tersebut memiliki pola kurva yang sama dengan pola kurva kecepatan aliran reratanya. Kemudian sesuai atau tidaknya kedua pola kurva tersebut dipengaruhi oleh besarnya nilai luas penampang basahnya, yang mana semakin besar nilai luas penampang basah maka semakin besar nilai debit alirannya, begitu pula sebaliknya.

Abstract

The beach is an area on the edge of the sea which experiences the influence of sea water fluctuations. Between the coast and the mainland separated by an imaginary line called the coastline. One of the problems on the coast is the decline of the coastline (Abrasion) and the progress of the costline (Accretion). Beaches that must be protected from the phenomenon of Abrasion and Accretion needs to be identified first to find out how far the changes have occurred in the coastline. The beach which is the object of this study is the beach on the north side of Tarakan Island. Identification was carried out by applying the DSAS Method (Digital Shoreline Analysis System) with change analysis using the LRR Method (Linear Regression Rate) and RMSE Method (Root Mean Square Error) while the mold delineation coastline based on Landsat satellite imagery in 1988, 1990, 2010, 2016, 2022, and 2023. The results of studies conducted in this study indicate that there has been a decline in the coastline with an average rate of change of 2,16 Meter/year and is predicted to increase backward an average of 0,74 Meter/year in 2033 for sandy beach areas. While in other areas there is progress of the coastline which is estimated to have a rate increase of an average of 2,40 Meter/year for Mangrove vegetation areas and an average of 0,19 Meter/year for community residential areas in 2033.

Abstract

Sukawati Art Market has 3 Blocks where Blocks A and B were completed in December 2020, and Block C was completed in early 2022. As the number of merchant stalls increases, the number of tourists who come also increases. This affects the parking facilities provided. This study aims to find out the absolute need for parking spaces and the characteristics of the parking at Sukawati Art Market. The method used is a quantitative method where data is obtained by conducting a live survey on Sunday at peak hours, namely from 10:00 to 13:00. The results showed the accumulation of a maximum of 276 vehicles at 11.30-11.45 WITA and 85 vehicles at 12.30-12.45 WITA. The average motorcycle parking turnover rate reached 0.32 vehicles/hour, and cars reached 1.09 vehicles/hour. While the average length of motorcycle parking is 0.82 hours/vehicle, and for Light Vehicles (LV) 1.49 hours/per vehicle. The parking capacity for Motorcycles (MC) reaches 511.98 vehicles/(SRP/hour) while Light Vehicles (LV) reach 34.87 vehicles/(SRP/hour). Provision of Motorcycle (MC) parking spaces amounting to 1382 vehicles and for Light Vehicles (MC) 94 vehicles. The highest parking index for Motorcycles (MC) reached 0.65, which means parking needs are below the available capacity or there are no parking problems, and for Light Vehicles (MC), the highest reaches 1.63, where the capacity is insufficient or parking is experiencing problems. Parking needs are 70.38% for Motorcycles (MC) and for Light Vehicles (LV) by 29.62%.

Abstract

IPA Kampung Bugis service area includes West Tarakan Sub-district and Central Tarakan Sub-district. These two sub-districts are the ones with the highest population density in the city of Tarakan, so in terms of water supply, it is necessary to carefully consider to avoid water deficits if there is no rainfall in Tarakan. This study aims to calculate the water balance of the Karang Anyar River as the raw water source for the IPA Kampung Bugis. The method used for availability calculations is the NRECA method. From the analysis of the reliable discharge Q90 of the Karang Anyar River using the NRECA method, an average Q90 reliable discharge of 55 liters/second is obtained, while based on the analysis of water needs in 2031, it is 295,852 liters/second. These results indicate that the Karang Anyar River is unable to meet the water needs in the IPA Kampung Bugis service area in the city of Tarakan

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang berada di zona tektonik aktif yang menyebabkan kerentanan terhadap gempa. Pembangunan infrastruktur di Indonesia harus direncanakan terhadap beban gempa dan fenomena dari gempa. Likuefaksi merupakan fenomena yang terjadi akibat gempa dengan kondisi tanah pasir lepas hingga sedang, butir halus kurang 35% dan muka air yang dangkal. Bahaya potensi likuefkasi dianalisis dengan metode simplified procedure dan liquefaction potential index (LPI). Analisis potensi likuefaksi juga dilakukan secara numeris dengan program Midas Gts Nx dengan model tanah UBC Sand. Secara numeris likuefaksi dapat dievaluasi dengan melihat nilai pore pressure ratio (PPR). Hasil analisis secara analitis didapatkan potensi likuefaksi terjadi dari pada tanah pasir lepas dan pasir sedang, dengan tingkat potensi likufaksi tinggi dan sangat tinggi. Analisis secara numeris didapatkan terdapat likuefaksi pada lapisan pasir lepas dan pasir sedang apabila terjadi gempa dengan percepatan maksimal 0,356g dan likuefaksi hanya terjadi pada lapisan pasir lepas apabila terjadi gempa dengan percepatan maksimal 0,275g.

Abstract

Masalah endapan sedimen menjadi permasalahan pada setiap bendungan. Material sedimen dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pembuatan paving block. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, paving block dari bahan sedimen Bendungan Batang Ilung Sibagasi diuji kualitas mutunya. Sedimen pengganti sebagian pasir atau semen dengan variasi 5%, 10%, 15% dan waktu perendaman selama 7, 14 dan 28 hari. Ukuran cetakan paving block ialah 20 cm x 10 cm x 6 cm, Setiap variasi persentasi benda uji dibuat sebanyak tiga paving block. Pengujian kualitas bahan dilakukan dengan menguji ukuran butir dengan menggunakan fineness modulus dan gradasi, uji slump, uji berat jenis bahan. Sedangkan uji mutu paving block menggunakan alat kuat tekan hammer test. Analisis data yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan sedimen terhadap kuat tekan berupa metode regresi. Hasil uji bahan diperoleh fineness modulus sedimen bendungan batang ilung pada Zona 4, uji slump yang baik pada sedimen 15%, berat jenis sedimen 2,5.. Nilai kuat tekan paving block pada usia 28 hari pada pasir sedimen 5, 10 dan 15%  dan lama perendalam 28 hari ialah mutu parkir dengan kuat tekan 26,1 MPa, 24,2 MPa, 25,5MPa, sedangkan semen sedimen terdapat mutu parkir dengan masing-masing kuat tekan 25,9 MPa, 26,6 MPa, 24,8 MPa. Nilai korelasi R kuat tekan terhadap persentasi sedimen pasir 0,11 artinya hubungannya sangat rendah dan semen sedimen 0,54 artinya hubungannya sedang.Mutu Paving Block normal diperoleh mutu kenderaan dengan kuat tekan 35,2 MPa, ini meumunjukkan bahwa komposisi sedimen mempengaruhi mutu paving block menjadi menurun.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to develop a two-way hollow slab as an alternative pavement for the development of the Juwata Airport apron, Tarakan City, while the research method to be carried out is to modify the existing apron pavement structure with the new type of structure offered, then the results of the new design will be compared with the existing design. The results obtained are i) the number of surface reinforcement to withstand the bending of the 2-way cavity slab structure asan apron pavement is relatively the same as conventional pavement, but for the slab system that is offered the placement of reinforcement is 2 layers, ii) the total volume of concrete usage is reduced by 23.52 %, iii) the volume of use of reinforcing iron increased by 100%. This research is expected to be information and input for structural planners in designing buildings made of reinforced concrete, especially in rigid pavement structures, then provide an alternative type of apron structure for the future development of Juwata Airport.Keywords: Rigid Pavement, Apron, Rigid Pavement Restraints                                                                                   AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menemukembangkan pelat berongga dua arah sebagai alternatif perkerasan untuk pengembangan  apron Bandar Udara Juwata Kota Tarakan, adapun metode penelitian yang akan dilaksanakan adalah dengan memodifikasi struktur perkerasan apron eksisting dengan jenis struktur baru yang ditawarkan, lalu hasil dari desain baru tersebut akan dikomparasikan dengan desain eksisting. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah i) jumlah tulangan permukaan untuk menahan lentur struktur pelat rongga 2 arah sebagai perkerasan apron relatif sama dengan perkerasan konvensional, akan tetapi untuk sistem pelat yang ditawarkan penempatan tulangan menjadi 2 lapis, ii) jumlah volume pemakaian beton berkurang sebesar 23,52%, iii) jumlah volume pemakaian besi tulangan meningkat 100%.  Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi dan masukkan kepada perencana struktur dalam mendesain bangunan berbahan beton bertulang, khususnya pada struktur perkerasan kaku, lalu memberikan alternatif jenis struktur apron untuk pengembangan Bandar Udara Juwata kedepannya.Keywords: Perkerasan Kaku, Apron, Tumpuan Perkerasan Kaku
