Abstract

This study began with the problem of students struggling to write editorial texts. This difficulty arose due to the conventional teaching methods used by teachers and the limited use of innovative learning media. To address this issue, the researcher employed an innovative teaching model, Problem-Based Learning, assisted by Nearpod. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of editorial text writing learning using Problem-Based Learning assisted by Nearpod. The research used a quantitative approach and an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the average pretest score was 65, while the posttest score was 85. The results indicated that the p-value was less than 0.05, which falls within the acceptance range of Ha (0.000 < 0.05). Therefore, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Based on the N-Gain test results, the score obtained was 0.56, which falls within the moderate category. Thus, Problem-Based Learning assisted by Nearpod is deemed effective in improving the learning outcomes of writing editorial texts.

Abstract

Literary works, especially novels, are a very important medium of learning for readers. This is what drives the researcher to study Habiburrahman El-Shirazy's novel Di Atas Sajadah Cinta, as it contains religious values that need to be explored and discussed in detail. This research aims to identify the Sharia values in the novel Di Atas Sajadah Cinta by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach, which involves the triadic relationship of sign, object, and interpretant. The method used in this research falls under descriptive qualitative research with a library technique by repeatedly reading the text. The results of the research reveal that all Sharia values are categorized into four aspects, including worship in verbal form, such as reciting the Quran, performing dhikr, tasbih, tahlil, and istighfar. Worship in physical acts, such as performing dhuha prayers, the five daily prayers, and tahajjud prayers. Additionally, worship through self-restraint, such as fasting.

Abstract

Kurang bervariasinya model dan media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran, menyebabkan kurang terampilnya siswa dalam menulis puisi. Siswa merasa sulit untuk menentukan tema dan menemukan ide dalam menulis puisi. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan upaya penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan berbantuan media sosial Tiktok dalam pembelajaran menulis teks puisi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan hasil respons siswa terhadap penggunaan media sosial TikTok dalam pembelajaran menulis teks puisi dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning pada siswa SMK Kelas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa angket atau kuisioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui hasil presentase rata-rata dari data pernyataan positif memiliki hasil senilai 78% dan pernyataan negatif memiliki hasil senilai 50% dengan kriteria rata-rata keduanya adanya 64%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa respon yang diberikan oleh siswa saat mengikuti pembelajaran menulis teks puisi menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantuan media sosial TikTok adalah “Positif” dengan kriteria penilaian “Setuju” bahwa model dan media yang digunakan membantu siswa dalam menulis teks puisi. Selain itu, model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantuan media sosial TikTok juga efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks puisi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai respons terhadap berbagai hambatan yang dihadapi siswa dalam menulis teks cerpen, seperti keterbatasan waktu dan padatnya kegiatan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode alternatif guna menunjang pengembangan keterampilan menulis siswa. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan teks pentigraf yang dipadukan dengan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan didukung oleh media aplikasi Wattpad untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif yang membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test siswa dalam menulis teks pentigraf. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI SMK TI Pembangunan Cimahi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu dari nilai rata-rata 75,56 menjadi 89,91 setelah perlakuan. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menulis teks pentigraf menggunakan model CTL dan media Wattpad terbukti efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The dimension of liberation contained in a literary work can be a solution to control social problems. Through these liberatory values, humans are taught to free themselves from life practices that are shackling. This study aims to describe the dimension of liberation contained in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This study uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. The data source in this study is the novel Bumi Cinta, while the data are in the form of quotations containing the dimension of liberation. The results of this study found 5 data points that describe liberation from ignorance, and 3 data points that describe liberation from oppression. The dimension of liberation that appears in this novel is related to the knowledge and social systems. This dimension of liberation reflects resistance against intellectual backwardness and practices of oppression in life.

Abstract

Language functions not only as a means of conveying messages but also as a primary medium for expressing emotions, attitudes, and the cultural values of a society. Film, as a product of popular culture, intensively employs language to construct characters and develop the storyline, including through the use of expressive speech acts. This study aims to examine the forms and functions of expressive speech acts in the film Moana 2 using a pragmatic approach. The research applies a descriptive qualitative method with observation and note-taking techniques to analyze dialogues between characters that contain expressive speech acts. The findings indicate that Moana 2 presents various types of expressive speech acts, such as praise, expressions of happiness, astonishment, anger, sadness, and gratitude, which reflect the emotional dynamics of the characters. These speech acts play an important role in strengthening characterization, building relationships among characters, and conveying moral values such as affection, responsibility, courage, and cooperation. Therefore, it can be concluded that expressive speech acts in Moana 2 have a significant role in character development, clarifying the emotional context of utterances, and effectively supporting the delivery of moral and cultural values within the narrative.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning on writing skills is followed by all students in the class. There is low student interest and ability in writing, finding the main idea and developing an idea, which requires innovation in writing activities. One way to overcome this is by using learning strategies, namely applying the PBL model assisted by film media so that students can observe objects directly and realistically. This research aims to determine students' responses to learning to apply the PBL model assisted by film media on explanatory text writing skills. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The objects in this research were class XI high school students. This research uses a questionnaire as an instrument for collecting data. The results of the research, the distribution of questionnaires distributed to 36 respondents obtained an average percentage of 70.35% in the good category. In this way, students responded well to the application of the PBL model assisted by film media on explanatory text writing skills.
