Abstract

The main problem of this research is based on the phenomenon of students' inability to interact with people outside of campus, so that they are often viewed cynically by societies. The location of the research is in Serule Kayu and Kute Tanyung villages, Kecamatan Bukit Kabupaten Bener Meriah,  which are the two villages where KPM UIN Ar-Raniry students be placed in 2024. The data collection process was carried out through indepth interviews, Small Group Discussions with students, observation and documentation studies . The research results show that interaction is a common action that everyone always carries out in their lives, both individually and in groups. The students who are taking the subject of Kuliah Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (KPM), their ability to interact with the community is very important in order to successfully carry out their work program well.  The ability to interact will influence the success of KPM. The success of KPM students in Bukit District is influenced by 3 forms of interaction namely symbolic interaction, investigative interaction and pedagogical interaction. These three forms of interaction have been able to build effective collaboration with the community so that they can implement various programs that have been previously designed.

Abstract

This research aims to identify how buzzer propaganda is used to manipulate public opinion and create a political image favorable to certain presidential candidates, as well as its impact on political ethics and social dynamics. This research uses a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm to explore the activities of political buzzers on social media. The methods used include in-depth interviews with expert informants, and literature studies. Data was analyzed using to identify patterns, themes, and persuasive techniques used by buzzers in shaping public opinion. The results showed that propaganda and imagery became the key to success in the presidential election campaign, with buzzers playing a central role in framing the media to support candidate pairs. The transformation of the buzzer function from a business tool to a political tool has a major impact on social and political dynamics, often through the spread of slander and issues that trigger social tensions.

Abstract

The study aims to provide an understanding of students about the importance of communication ethics in WhatsApp towards lecturers within the scope of the lecture room, looking deeper into the rules that students need to understand regarding the ethics of communicating with lecturers on WhatsApp. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods, with a case study. The theory used in the article uses the theory of politeness strategy. Results showed that the rapid development of information brought changes in the form of communication between students and lecturers. The development makes every form of system that occurs in the world of lectures change, especially in contacting lecturers, formerly directly, now online. however, students often do not understand the ethics of communicating with lecturers on WhatsApp, so it needs to be emphasized and underlined by students within the scope of lectures. 7 basic ethics are important for students to understand in contacting lecturers on WhatsApp for the benefit of lectures, namely: 1) The right time, 2) Opening and closing greetings, 3) Apologize first, 4) Introduce yourself, 5) Using formal language 6) Follow the rarities, and 7) Rules that can be understood in the ethics of communicating with lecturers through WhatsApp media.

Abstract

UKM Timang News in 2023 is stagnant in all its lines. From the results of initial observations, it was found that management was not working well, so this became the author's attention, highlighting the real root of the problem. To achieve this goal, the author uses Terry's POAC theory with descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that the management of UKM Timang News for the 2021-2022 period was still not optimal, which also had an impact on Timang News’ inability to maintain its existence and consistency. This can be seen from the lack of comprehensive organizational management. At the planning stage, Timang News has implemented it very well by arranging careful planning such as determining the time and number of news publications each week. Likewise, at the organizing stage, Timang has arranged and divided the fields, members and tasks of each member well. However, big obstacles were encountered when the program entered the actuating and controlling stages, all activities became stagnant and irregular. After conducting research, it was found that the factors were that many administrators were busy with their respective end-of-course activities, members did not have strong work motivation because members were recruited through appointment rather than selection, lack of loyalty and responsibility, and others. UKM Timang News should be useful in its existence in the campus environment in encouraging students' intellectual and critical thinking so it would be a shame if its existence could not continue.
