Abstract

Currently, the Indonesian government is focusing on using social media, especially Instagram, to fulfill their information needs; almost all local governments in Indonesia use social media to communicate with the public. This is followed by an increase in internet and social media usage in Indonesia. The researcher used quantitative research methodology by distributing questionnaires to respondents through the Counseling Guidance Teacher which was then distributed to students at SMK Negeri 1 Batang. The data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive analysis, t hypothesis test, simple linear regression analysis and coefficient of determination. The results of the study based on the t hypothesis test, simple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, provide results that the variable use of social media (X) has a significant negative effect on the mental variable of children (Y).

Abstract

Organizational communication patterns are a system of sending messages from communicators to communicants with the aim of changing behavior, attitudes and opinions. This research aims to look further at the organizational communication patterns carried out by KIES Aceh. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The data used in this research is primary data collected from the field through observation and in-depth interviews. Method. The number of informants used as primary data sources in this research consisted of 4 people: Director, Deputy Director, Treasurer, and Teacher. The research results show that there are 3 organizational communication patterns used by KIES, namely: formal communication patterns, informal communication patterns and socialization mechanism communication patterns. Where these three communication patterns work well at KIES.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at the role of fathers in leading or building a family. Fathers have great duties and functions not only to earn a living but also as protectors, role models, educators. This understanding does not seem to be fully fulfilled by most people. Indonesia adheres to a patriarchal system, thus seeing the father's role as only earning a living for his family. As a result, the father's role becomes partial and creates an imbalance in forming a family. Many children lose a father figure physically and psychologically, making children look for happiness, story friends other than their family. By building Islamic communication, it is hoped that the father's presence can be felt by children and families. The research method used is descriptive analytical method with qualitative approach. The data collection method is by conducting interviews with a number of fathers who live in Darussalam District, Banda Aceh. The results showed that to form a harmonious family, knowledge and religious knowledge are needed by applying Islamic communication principles such as qaulan karima, qaulan baligha, qaulan maysura, qaula sadida, qaulan layyina, qaulan ma'rufa. And it must be balanced by maximising the role of the father to be a family economic supporter (economic provider), providing time for the family (friend and playmate), providing a sense of comfort (caraviger and protector).

Abstract

This research examines students' perceptions and responses to hoax news and hate speech. With the development of technology and social media today, the opportunity to spread hoax news is getting bigger. People who lack digital literacy will be very easily exposed to fake news. The research method used a quantitative method by conducting a survey of 40 students of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, UIN Ar-Raniry. The research results show that students very often encounter fake news or hoaxes on social media, but sometimes they don't know how to differentiate between them. The most news about hoaxes is political news. While hate speech is very often experienced by students, students believe that hate speech can create divisions between individuals. The step they took was to report several cases of hate speech. Cases of hoax news and hate speech can be resolved by understanding more deeply the principles of Islamic communication, namely Qaulan Sadidan and Qaulan Balighan. Of course, there is a need for digital da'wah in strengthening the principles of Islamic communication.

Abstract

Intercultural communication cannot be avoided in communication process, including in da’wah. Dai (man preacher) and daiyah (woman preacher), whether they realize it or not, have practiced intercultural communication in their da'wah activities. There are important parts in intercultural communication that can cause success or failure in delivering da'wah. One important part is that dai and daiyah recognize their mad'u culture. Unfortunately, we still find dai and daiyah who have not implemented intercultural communication by taking into account mad'u's cultural differences when preaching, causing mad'u to be less enthusiastic and even no longer willing to attend da'wah studies. To explore this phenomenon in depth, researchers used qualitative methods. This method explores in depth the dai and daiyah who have not implemented intercultural communication optimally in their preaching practices. In an effort to obtain information related to this, the researcher interviewed mad'u in depth, who is a young intellectual who often participates in religious studies, both on campus, outside campus and at the mosque. The results of data mining from informants found that we still found, 1) dai and daiyah who preach by equating or assuming that every mad'u is the same without realizing that the mad'u present come from diverse cultures, 2) dai and daiyah who stereotype to their mad'u, 3) dai and daiyah who are less sensitive and misinterpret mad'u's nonverbal messages, 4) dai and daiyah who are less able to adjust their language when preaching, 5) dai and daiyah who negatively assess the differences between themselves and mad 'u.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the role of branding image played by Yakult products to maintain customer loyalty. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique in this research is by conducting interviews with people who consume Yakult products. The data analysis technique in this research uses data presentation techniques and drawing conclusions to determine the results of this research. The results of this research are that branding image plays an important role in maintaining customer loyalty. Brand image is very important in influencing consumer decisions. Effective packaging and good product quality can help maintain the brand image of Yakult and this can maintain customer loyalty to continue choosing Yakult as a health drink. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to Public Relations courses and have practical implications in better understanding the role of branding image in maintaining customer loyalty.

Abstract

Syiah Kuala University (USK) has developed more widely and intensively the character building-oriented program, one of which is the inauguration of the Character Development Course (MKPK). As an Islamic-based student development program, the teaching process of MKPK by the mentors of UP3AI USK must be guided by the Islamic communication principles as described in the Quran and Hadith. However, the mentors did not fully implement the Islamic communication principles. This study aims to describe the Islamic communication method and analyze the applications of Islamic communication principles in the Character Development program. The theory used in this study is Aristotle’s rhetoric theory. This type of study is descriptive qualitative using interviews and documentation as the data collection method. The informants in this study are five mentors of UP3AI and one mentor coach. The results of this study indicate that the application of Islamic communication principles by mentors in the Character Development program has been going well, but still not optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to get a bright spot of the Ruqyah Syar’iyah practice method which has been widely chosen as an alternative treatment method.  This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the literature review method as the main foothold in data collection. The results of the study show that ruqyah syar’iyah includes transcendental communication, namely communication built by a servant with his God. In this communication, there are all the basic elements of communication. The source of communication or communicators consists of God and humans. The message is in the form of Allah's verses through the Qur'an and prayers, dhikr that people convey to Allah and the channel is the Qur'an. The recipient or communicator is basically the same as the source or communicator. The expected effect and feedback in this transcendental communication is the fulfillment of the servant's prayer, inner peace. Ruqyah Syariyah as an alternative medicine method is a practice that is recommended in Islam. The treatment of the ruqyah method can be practiced on all kinds of diseases, both physical, mental and jinn and magic disorders. The guidelines for reading the verses of the Quran and prayers and dhikr that can be applied refer to the verses that have been read by the Prophet contained in the Hadith. In essence, the healing obtained by the ruqyah sharia method is inseparable from the belief in Allah as the supreme source of healing.

Abstract

This research examines the fashion perspectives of K-Pop fans on lifestyle in the USK student environment. Globalization and K-Pop consolidate each other to give birth to new symbols in the fashion world as a form of self-existence, but experience inconsistencies in the application of Islamic law in Aceh. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through the implementation of modeling theory (attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation) with data collection techniques by interview, observation, and documentation of six K-Pop fan informants. The results showed that the perception of fashion materialized through the activity of consuming K-Pop content (Attention) has the effect of following K-Fashion as an inspiration for fashion dressing (Retention) with innovation and creativity considered to give the impression of simple, cute uniqueness, funny, and not experiencing changes in the fashion cycle so that it is comfortable to use in everyday life even in tropical climates (Reproduction) in the end forming self-existence as a K-Pop fan (Motivation). However, in the application of Islamic fashion, not all K-Fashion is an inspiration to follow. So, it must be acceptability in accordance with the provisions of Islamic teachings in creating K-Fashion using hijab and covering the aurat.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate how the management of Mardani Ali Sera’s Instagram account @Mardanialisera towards increasing positive netizen comments in the 2024 legislative elections. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and analysis of the types and frequencies of posted content, as well as the interactions between the account and its followers. The results show that the Instagram usage strategy has a significant impact on Mardani Ali Sera's electability. The strategy includes, first, building a consistent content flow with the 3A principles (Safe, Fun, Cool) and raising criticism that fosters public discussion. Second, utilizing Instagram features such as Reels, Live, Comment, Like, Direct Message, and Share to effectively convey political messages. Additionally, the use of ads and promotions strengthens interactions with Generation Z, the main consumers of internet technology. Third, Instagram allows Mardani Ali Sera to build a unique news pattern, following the "bad news is good news" principle, and to collaborate with communities to enhance public trust.
