Jurnal Sendratasik diterbitkan 4 (empat) kali pada bulan S Maret, Juni, September, dan December denganmemuat artikel / artikel penelitian di bidang musik, tari, dan drama serta pembelajarannya. Memuat teks yang dihasilkan oleh kelompok penyunting, naskah yang digunakan adalah naskah yang lolos dan tidak pernah / tidak akan pindah ke jurnal lain. Jurnal Sendratasik menerima naskah yang memberikan wawasan tentang isu-isu terkini, dan terutama berhubungan dengan studi Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya(Seni Drama, Tari dan Musik) dengan menyebar luaskan pengetahuan di bidang-bidang yang muncul dan berkembang. Hasil riset, terdiri dari laporan ilmiah yang meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang seni secara umum, seni pertunjukan, dan pendidikan seni. Baik dalam bentuk artikel yang melaporkan hasil studi penelitian kuantitatif atau kualitatif. Artikel secara konseptual harus relevan untuk memajukan Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya, menyajikan teori tentang seni, model, posisi filosofis, dll. Artikel juga dapat mengacu pada teori-teori ataupun materi- materi yang dikembangkan dalam praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Bahasa naskah yang dikirimkan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Harus membahas tentang masalah serta kontribusi baru yang signifikan untuk bidang praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Artikel dapat berasal dari salah satu bidang berikut: - Drama - Tari - Musik dan / atau Musik Tradisional - dan Pembelajarannya

Abstract

This research aims to explain the significant influence or not on the use of audiovisual powerpoint media on the results of studying Cultural Arts (Dance) in Grade VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau South Sumatra Province. The design of the study used was a simple experimental study with one sample on 36 students of grade VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau. The design of this one case one sample study will place students at once as control objects and research objects. Research instruments are data on student learning results obtained from post-test 1 and 2 after KBM. The results of the study prove that the hypothesis of research work is accepted, where there is a significant influence on the use of visual media powerpoint on the results of learning cultural arts (dance) in Grade VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau South Sumatra Province. These results also explain that the use of more creative and interactive powerpoint media, where videos are included in the powerpoint media encourages better student attention. With good attention in learning, resulting in enthusiastic and interested students in learning dance. As a result of enthusiasm, attention and interest in learning the dance, the results of students' learning can be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and describe the Choreography of Ratok Maik Katurun Dance in Padang Laweh Village, Koto VII District, Sijunjung Regency. Therefore, this study explores the problems related to the choreography contained in the Ratok Maik Katurun dance in Padang Laweh Village, Koto VII District, Sijunjung Regency. This research belongs to a qualitative research using descriptive methods. The main instrument of this research was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools and voice recorders. Types of data used were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion making. The results show that Ratok Maik Katurun Dance is a traditional dance which uses a choreographic approach and is created by raising the life of nature and the people of Padang Laweh village. Ratok Maik Katurun dance has a unique cultural value. It is dancing at the death of a leader in Padang Laweh village. Ratok Maik Katurun dance has two main aspects. The first one is the aspect of form including: motion (10 types of motion); simple floor designs such as straight and curved lines, top designs such as angular, medium, low, high, contrast and curved designs; group composition such as synchronously and balanced;female dancers aged 30-50 years; music using gondang boghek, talempong, and gong instruments; costumes worn is black baju kuruang basibah (Malay traditional clothes) and black songket (skirt); and properties in the form of shawls which are only worn in the oghak salendang movement. The second one is the aspect of content including: The idea, in Ratok Maik Katurun dance the idea isrelated to death and the atmosphere whichis sad. Music and dendang ratok used as accompaniment of the dance movements make the dance conveyed and complemented. Thus, it can be concluded that Ratok Maik Katurun Dance has choreographic aspects so that it can be researched using choreography knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the presentation form of Gontong-gontong at wedding parties. This research belongs to a qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this research was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. The data were collected through observation, literature study, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by collecting the data, describing the data, and concluding the data. The results show that Gontong-Gontong is an art which is recognized by the community and is considered as an important element due to the fact that it was inherited by previous ancestors. Gontong-Gontong also provides entertainment for the community although Gontong-Gontong is only a media for Arak-Arakan at weddings. The presentation ofGontong-Gontong is carried out in the form of a band wagon at weddings. Gontong-Gontong is a medium for conveying messages to the public about the existence of a marker or event. The presentation of Gontong-Gontong can be found at wedding parties of Manjalang Mintuo procession.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the magnitude of the effect of vocal course learning outcomes on choir course learning outcomes of students (2017 generation) in Music Concentration, Sendratasik Education Study Program, Department of Sendratasik, FBS UNP. This is a quantitative research using a correlational method. The population in this study was students (2017 generation) in Sendratasik Education Study Program, Music Concentration Department of Sendratasik, FBS UNP. The sample in the study was the learning outcomes of students of Sendratasik Education Study Program, Music Concentration, Department of Sendratasik, FBS, UNP in vocal and choir courses. This research used primary and secondary data sources. The data analysis was conducted by using product moment correlation technique. The results of research and data processing as well as testing the hypothesis show that the correlation coefficient (r) obtained in the learning outcomes of vocal courses and learning outcomes of choir courses from three classes of 65 people from the 2017 generation of Sendratasik Education Study Program is 0.16127 or 16.127% and it is categorized very weak. In class A, the value obtained is 0.453 or 45.3% and it is categorized quite influential. In class B, the value obtained is 0.1605 or 16.05% and it is categorized very low. In class C, the value obtained is -0,1297 or -12.97%. This predicate gives no effect. The total percentage is 45.3% + 16.05% -12.97% = 16.127%. Thus, the analysis of student learning outcomes is 1: 2.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the training to play a traditional musical instrument called serunai at Palito Studio, Pondok Kandang Village, Mukomuko Regency. This research belongs to a descriptive study using qualitative approach. The main instrument in this study was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools, cameras, and cellphones. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The data was analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results show that the training in Palito studio uses a direct approach or "direct instruction" with the technique of introducing the song and the tone of the song to serunai as well as the way to produce the tones technically. Students immediately practice playing the songs being learned while "inserting technical in-depth material and sense of taste” when practicing to play the songs as well as applying the peer tutor method. The serunai training at the Palito studio essentially provides provisions for "basic skills" to play serunai by using material recognition method, "monitored independent training," and peer tutor method. Students who have basic abilities can deepen the technique of playing serunai and deepen their sensitivity to serunai tones in seruna performances in society ("by experience").

Abstract

The study aims to identify and describe the implementation of learning Culture and Arts (dance) by using WhatsApp at SMP N 11 of South Solok.This is a qualitative research by using descriptive method. The research instrument was the researcher itself and was supported by additional instruments such as a laptop, a camera, and writing instruments. Types of data used in this study were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature study, observation, and documentation. The steps of analyzing the data were reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the implementation of online Culture and Arts (dance) learning in terms of material levels and dance patterns in class VII 1 of SMP N 11 South Solok by using WhatsApp runs very well although it is not maximized. This is due to the fact that the Basic Competence 4 could not be implemented. Judging from the planning, the learning design carried out by teachers remains the same but the steps for implementation are different because the learning system uses WhatsApp application. Teachers are more flexible in using media for learning. Teachers used to only use textbook media, now the media used are more interesting with the use of power points and videos from YouTube sent to WhatsApp group.  In terms of assessment, it is conducted by looking at the assignments submitted by students and quiz scores. In term of implementing learning materials of knowledge, basic competence 3 is carried out very well. It is seen from the results of the assignments submitted by the students. There are no students whose grades were below the cut score. Even though in the submission of the assignments students are often not on time because of the internet’s load problem, the results of the submitted assignments are good enough and can even be more than the materials provided by the teacher. This proves that the students can look for additional materials other than what the teachers provide.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the choreography of Cangget Pilangan Dance in Abung Selatan village of North Lampung. This research belongs to a qualitative research using descriptive analysis. The instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. Types of data used were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was done through data reduction, data modeling (displaying), and conclusions making through choreography theory by analyzing theme, motion, floor design, top design, dramatic design, dynamics, group composition, music, and dance equipment. The results show that Cangget Pilangan dance is a creation in the form of a group which uses unison composition, balance, canon, and broken. This Cangget Pilangan dance is a development of the tradition using a choreographic approach. In Cangget Pilangan dance, there are elements of dance composition consisting of themes, movements, top designs, floor designs, dramatic designs, music designs, processes, equipment and group choreography. The movements in this dance are the development of Cangget motion and new creations: the motion of tiptoe, respect, hand, rotating hand, back step, transition 1. igel, wave, transition 2. rotating hands, turning, low turning, hand span, transition 3. transition 4. transition 5. transition 6. jump, hovering grab, shawl pull, gentle waves, close embarrassment, drift, ukel, worship, side ukel, front ukel, front walk, swing, open cross, and shawl cross. The floor pattern depicts creative dance that has fulfilled the elements of dance composition. The single cone dramatic design clearly depicts moderate to strong motion forces. A dramatic design clearly shows about the gentleness and manliness of the Lampung girl. The music strongly accompanies the flow of the dance movements, so it makes the dance alive and strong. The dance equipment gives a new color to the creative dance which is worked on as well as the group choreography which shows high social values in teamwork and mutual cooperation.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the ability of students at class VIII.1 in Padang city in playing Talempong Pacik with the song Cak Din Din. This research belongs to a descriptive qualitative research. The main instrument on this study was the researcher itself and was supported by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. The data were collected through interview, literature study, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by classifying the data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results show that the students’ ability in playing Talempong Pacik with the song Cak Din Din is quite good after the learning process was evaluated. The assessment was obtained from the value of daily test results with assessment indicators including tempo and rhythmic accuracy as well as the students’ sense of musicality. The learning process was carried out in four meetings. In the fourth meeting, the learning evaluation was conducted. The learning activities were divided into three stages: preparation, process or training, and evaluation. The introduction of the song Cak Din Din was done by showing the song’s score and giving demonstrations by the teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Vocal Learning in SMP 1 Payakumbuh. This research used qualitative approach, and it belongs to descriptive research. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing .Data validity test was done by extending observations and increasing persistence. The results of this study indicate that: (1) lesson planning includes: a. The material being taught is provided in stages, b. The methods used are the lecture method, demonstration method, question and answer method, and assignment method, (2) the implementation of vocal learning includes: initial activities, core activities, and final activities, (3) learning evaluation includes process evaluation seen from students’ discipline, activeness, and seriousness. In addition, evaluation of results seen from the activities when students demonstrate. It uses indicators of techniques, material, and appearance.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Form of Bamboo Distilled Presentation in Balahak Tradition in Koto Periang Village, Aro Wood District Kerinci Regency. Qualitative research method that aims to get everything related to the topic. Data collection is done by library study techniques, observations, interviews and documentation. Distilled Bamboo art is a native art of kerinci people that reflects the social life of its people and develops in the community of Koto Periang Village which is displayed in balahak tradition. Balahak in indonesian synonym equal to procession, defile, kirab, convoy, parade is traveling together or accompaniment regularly with one purpose in a series of traditional, religious and so on ceremonies.  Balahak started the groom to the bride's house, on the way the player Distilled Bamboo played the song Nasib Malang with several pantuns over and over before getting to the bride's house. After that it again started for the two brides around the village, The Bamboo Flute Player played and the vocalist sang the song wahai pemuda dan Indonesia until returning to the bride's house.
