Abstract

The caterpillar is a kind of small animal, having fur and unique that is verycomplained by the human being especially the farmers, that the caterpillar is thegreedy pest eating the leaves so that the farmers are inflicted a financial loss. Thewriter thinks that the caterpillar which is inflict a financial loss for the human is a symbol of the bad attitude of human and inflict a financial loss for the other human. The work that will be made presenting the caterpillar object, as the parable of the greedy humans characteristic and never satisfied. From these main idea will be developed into ten titles of painting work, such as: 1). Becoming an epidemic, 2). The preys, 3). The authoritys, 4). The apple (AS), 5). The import meat, 6). The corruption policeman, 7). Saving, 8). Century, 9). The leader candidate , 10). The verdict.This last work is climed to enlarge the knowledge about the caterpillar andthe symbols in this last work. This work is visualization based on the up to date phenomenon into the painting work by using decorative realist style.Then in this last work the writer prefers the caterpillars object from manykind as the main symbol. Meanwhile for the writers work doesnt fill. The empty space very much into the background and the colour for the writers background is more equalized than the object in order to the main object aesthetics is more focused. Kata kunci: Ulat bulu simbol sikap manusia yang berprilaku buruk

Abstract

The background of this research is research is the low of the result of student’s learning in Product Design subject of SMKN 4 Padang. The am of this research is of describe the effect of using visual prezi media to increase of the result of student’s learning. The method of the research is experiment with using (purposive sampling) in technique data collection. After hypothesis testing is obtained tcount = 7,995 and ttable = 2.037, this indicates that tcount> ttabel. It can be concluded that the result of student’s learning in experiment class with using visual prezi media differ significantly compare. With control class without using visual prezi media and very influence to result of student’s learning. Therefore, it recommended for all the teachers to using visual prezi media in learning process.Keywords: Influence, Media, Learning, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

This research was intended to describe the trend of Japanese cartoon toward the students’ tendency in drawing comic at SMAN 1 Painan Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This research applied qualitative method and descriptive approach. The subject of the research was the students at SMAN 1 Painan Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan and Cultural Art teachers. The sources of the data were in the forms of written note, recording, photograph, video and the cartoon strips made by the students, and the students’ attendance list. The result of the research indicated that the students were more creative to make Japanese and Indonesian comic pictures. This could be seen from the characters of the cartoon which were in the form of strips. To draw comic strips, some students imitated pictures and some others did not. Then to draw pictures, the students did not copy the models, but when they did, they make them more exciting and funnier.Key Terms: The tendency of the students at SMAN 1 Painan in drawing comic

Abstract

The reseacrh puposed to find out the effect of using video tutorial media and motivation on the results of learning the basics of art to class X of students at SMKN 4 Padang. This type of the research is quantitative using quasi-experimental methods. In its implementation, this study was initiated first with a learning motivaton test by giving a questionnaire then post-test in the form of an action test / practice. The data was obtained by collecting learning outcomes tests. The results of this study indicated of : students who were taught using video tutorial media, their learning outcomes of students who were taught using convensional / ordinary media. That means that the used of video tutorial media in learning is very well used by every educator, because it can improved student learning outcomes. As in the subjects of the basics of art at SMK N. 4 Padang.Keywords : Video tutorial media, motivation, learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of creation of this final work is to remind the indigenous Minangkabau women how to dress well in the Minangkabau region. The method for creating this thesis uses five phases: preparation, elaboration, synthesis, the realization of the concept, and the stage of completion, as well as the latter held an exhibition of paintings using the medium of acrylic paint on canvas with a brush stroke technique, style Contemporary Realists. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes in making handicraft skills and students tend to be lazy when learning skills, do not bring material and tool skills, students do not understand the work in the group. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in making the craft skills of artificial materials is by using STAD cooperative learning model. This research is research class action, the research was conducted on half of January to June 2014 class VII SMP N 3 lemur solok district with the number 19 in the learning material making crafts artificial ingredients. This classroom action research carried out by 2 cycles. For the observed ability is the result of learning the craft skills of artificial materials in the first cycle is averaging 76.11. While in the second cycle of learning outcomes mengg craft skills with artificial materials using cooperative learning model STAD increased by an average of 82.84. So, skill kerjinan artificial materials using cooperative learning model STAD in class VII SMP N 3 Kubung Solok successfully and can improve student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the use of cooperative learning model STAD can improve student learning outcomes in making handicraft artificial ingredients. This is evident from the increase in learning outcomes of each cycle are executed.Keywords: Results of learning, craft skills, approach STAD

Abstract

The purpose of the creation of this work is to present a painting by visualizing the influence of modernization on the life of Minangkabau women into paintings with decorative patterns. For the method of creation of art, the writer uses five stages: preparation stage, elaboration stage, synthesis stage, realization stage of concept and completion stage and last author held exhibition of work. The ten works that the authors present represent the theme that the author lifted, containing about the problems associated with Minangkabau women in the era of modernization, contains about the phenomena that occur around the life of the author. The tenth works include: 1) Alaik Usai Anak Kalua, 2) Tempting, 3) Shame, 4) Forgotten, 5) Ethics, 6) Show, 7) Western Culture, 8) Dance Plates, 9) Forgot self, and 10) Adaik Basandi Parampuan.Kata Kunci: Perempuan Minangkabau, Seni Lukis, Dekoratif.

Abstract

The problem in this study was the low learning of students in drawing models in class VIII of SMP Negeri 12 Padang. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using video tutorial learning media on the results of learning art in Class VIII of SMP 12 Padang. This study uses a technique (purposive sampling). After testing the hypotheses obtained in the pretest class obtained tcount 0.260 and t table 1.648 with an average in the experimental class 62.33 and the control class 62.77. So, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between student learning outcomes from the experimental group and the control group. In the posttest class, tcount was 3,317 and t table 1,648 with the average in the experimental class 80.7 and the control class 76.87. So, it can be concluded that there are significant differences between student learning outcomes from the experimental group and the control group.. It was explained that the use of tutorial video learning media had an effect on the results of learning art in Class VIII of SMP 12 Padang. In order for learning to use the video tutorial to run well, the teacher should first master how to implement the video tutorial.Keywords: Video Tutorial Learning Media and The Results Of Learning

The beauty of the scent of jasmine flowers that typically creates a quiet and comfortable atmosphere leads the mind to imagine the ideas lead. Form a picture of jasmine flowers are packed in a painting titled: 1). The girl Minang, 2). Options In Life, 3). Entertaining, 4). Waiting for morning, 5). In the darkness, 6). Jasmine White Purple, 7). Sepi, 8). Fading, 9). Sincerity, 10). Seek the Light. Abstract

The purpose of the creation of this final work is to visualize the moral values contained in the form of maternal love through the expression of contemporary realist art. The method of creating artwork, using five stages of preparation, elaboration, synthesis, realization of concepts and completion and exhibition. Using acrylic paint on canvas with brushstrokes technique and using colors that match the object. Ten works are made to represent a theme that tells the story of a portrait of mother's love that prioritizes careers and searching for material as much as possible, to forget the duties and obligations to care, nurture, and supervise his children.Keywords: Mother's Love, Painting, Contemporary Realist
