This study aims to : 1) Describe the history of batik Jambi, and 2) to describe the shape of the origins of batik Jambi. This research is a qualitative historical. The data sources are the primary source directly by the informant, while secondary data was from the documentation and bibliography. The data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation. The findings of the study were in the 7th century in Kampung Tangah Village and surrounding area, the first time batik was made in Malay Ancient kingdom, the origin of the design motifs such as Tampuk Manggis, Kapal Sanggat, Durian Pecah, Merak Ngeram, Angso Duo, Kuao Berhias, Riangriang, Batanghari, Bungo Kaco Piring, Daun Keladi, Cendawan, Bunga Melati, Bunga Kopi, Keris Siginjai, Bungo Duren. The purpose of the creation of this final work is to remind people to more understand the line of both women and men. Especially for women to be more intelligent to sort out what things to do and what to leave behind. The method of creating this final paper uses five stages: preparatory phase, elaboration phase, synthesis phase, concept realization phase, and completion phase. The works that are visualized are about the reality of feminism. Among these works are: Boneka, Super Girl, Rindu, Yâ€Ÿr not my Mother but Yâ€Ÿr my Mom, Perjuangan, Salah Kaprah, Save Me, Adu Kekuatan, I Can do it, dan Kebutaan.Keywords : Reality, Feminism, Painting

Butterflies in the Graphic Work of Art, Fine Art Education, Faculty of Languange and Arts, the State University of Padang. Butterfly is one the organism that created with beautiful color shape. So that it can be an inspiration in the work of art. The purpose of this thesis is (1). To visualize the butterflies in the works of graphic art by showing the beauty of color. (2). To improve the sensitivity and caring of the writer about the neighborhood one of them is butterfly and poured into graphic works. (3). Build a personal extension, by presenting innovative works, creative, have appreciate to the intensity ofgraphic works. (4). Adding references and knowledge of butterflies. There are title of work of butterflies such as friens, night butterflies, leaders, matting, perch, flying, mutual benefit, descent, wings and adventure.Kata kunci: Kupu-kupus, Seni Grafis

This research aims to see the influence of group learning method and motivation learning method toward sudents` batik learning outcome in SMKN 8 Padang. The population of the study are eleven graders DPK texile. Saturation sampling is used as the sampling technique in this study. This research uses 2x2 factorial. The instrument used are test of learning outcome and motivation questionnaire by using Likert scale. Instruments have been tested to know the index vadility, reliability, with the degree of reliability α = 0,05. Research result proves that: (1) the influence of XI students` learning batik outcome in SMK N 8 Padang taught by using group learning method is significant. (2) the influence of XI students` learning batik outcome who have high motivation in SMK N 8 Padang taught by using group learning method is not significant. (3) the influence of XI students` learning batik outcome who have low motivation in SMK N 8 Padang taught by using group learning method is significant. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that group learning method is one of the learning methods that provides a positive effect on improving learning outcomes, especially for students who have low learning motivation.Keywoards: Learning Method, Group Work, Learning Motivation

and utilize of facilities with learning outcome at SMP N 16 Padang. Type of data analysis in this research is product moment correlation which is done by using SPSS 16.0 version. Based on the data, the result of motivation of study and learning outcome, coefficient correlation’s level was 0.250*. The significant score was 0.010 < 0.05 and correlation between motivation to learn and learning outcome, coefficient correlation’s level was 0.925” the significant score was 0.000 < 0.05. Motivation to learn gives contribution amount 6.25% with learning outcome. It can conclude that there is a significant correlation between motivation to learn and utilize of facility with learning outcome in SMP N 16 Padang at VII grades.Kata Kunci: motivasi belajar, pemanfaatan sarana belajar, hasil belajar seni rupa

This final work aims to visualize koi fish as a reference for human behavior in the concept of creating graphic art works through acrylic media. The specialty of this koi fish is in the color, nature and behavior of koi. koi fish have a gentle nature and is a docile animal, koi fish can adapt to their new environment. In this work, one technique is stencil print. The process of creation in this work goes through several stages: the preparation, elaboration, synthesis, concept realization, and completion stages.The work created 10 pictures with the title: serenity, ambition, couple, sharing, unity, balance, mingling, generation, adaptation, faithfulness. In this final work is expected to be able to arouse the spirit of the workman in creating more interesting and unique graphic works in the future.Keywords: Koi Fish, Human Behavior, Graphic Arts

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of jigsaw cooperative learning model toward students’learning outcomes in SMPN 9 Padang.The effect can be seen from the differences in students’learning outcomes of students who were taught by using the jigsaw cooperative learning model than the learning outcomes of students who were taught by using conventional learning models in learning art.The hypothesis of study is”there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes than the students who were taught by using conventional methods in the art subjects at SMP N 9 Padang.Type of research is experimental research. The population in the research were all students of class VII in SMPN 9 padang which amount around 199 people.The results of this research from the processing of the data showed the significant differences between the learning outcomes than students who were taught by the jigsaw method of cooperative learning outcomes than students who were taught by using conventional methods in the art subjects in class VII smpn 9 Padang.Key word : Jigsaw cooperative learning model,learning outcomes

The purpouse of the final work creation is to visualize and express the admiration, interest, and author aesthetic experience on the beauty /aesthetics from banana plantation based from Qoran Chapter Al Waqiah verse 29, through wood carving. The method of creating artworks uses five stages: preparation stage, elaboration stage, synthesis stage, concept realization stage, and completion stage holding a final work wood carving exhibition. Wood carving used carved techniques. This study aims to describe the shape of the product, the variety of motives, functions, meanings and colors of Tebo songket whose information is not widely known to the wider community. The method used to collect data is the method of observation, documentation and interviews. The results of the study show that there are 5 types of songket Tebo products in the form of gloves, scarves, headbands, wallets and wall hangings. Tebo Songket has 6 motifs, namely Tapak Kudo, Bungo Tanjung, Bungo Mawar, Kajang Lako, Konde Minah and Tanggo Rajo motifs. The function of Tebo songket is in the form of function and ornamental function. Songket Tebo cloth is usually used on official / custom events. The meaning of Tebo songket motif is taken from the history and culture of the Tebo region. Tebo Songket has various colors such as Red, Pink, Blue, Light Blue, Purple, Gray, Black and White.Keywords: Songket Tebo, Jambi.

(3) Giving a referensition about visual communication like a comic.To make this last project real were some proses, its are: First Starter, looking for art ideas from referensition about adoselent’s problems. Second Elaboration, data analisist. Third Sintetion, make a schedule from this last project. Four Consep realization, make a skenario. Fife Finishing, continue the scenario to become a comic works. The description of this last project is Ben and Bun are comic which up to date about adoselent problems in drug usesly case and circle with drug user etc which are 28 page and make with comedy inside it.
