Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, film tipis material feroelektrik Barium Zirkonium Titanat (BaZr0,5Ti0,5O3) disintesis dan pengaruh variasi suhu annealing terhadap sifat optiknya dipelajari. Film tipis BaZr0,5Ti0,5O3 ditumbuhkan di atas substrat Silikon (Si (100)) menggunakan metode Chemical Solution Deposition (CSD) dengan bantuan perangkat spin coater. Film tipis yang telah dibuat kemudian di-annealing pada tiga suhu berbeda (750 oC, 800 oC dan 850 oC). Karakterisasi sifat optik dari film tipis yang telah dibuat dilakukan menggunakan Spektrometer Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) Ocean Optics USB4000. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan bahwa film tipis BaZr0,5Ti0,5O3 yang dibuat memiliki nilai reflektansi yang tinggi pada panjang gelombang cahaya tampak dan nilai koefisien absorbansi yang tinggi pada panjang gelombang cahaya ultraviolet (UV). Nilai bandgap pada masing-masing film tipis BaZr0,5Ti0,5O3 dengan suhu annealing 750 oC, 800 oC dan 850 oC adalah 3,04 eV, 3,07 eV dan 3,22 eV. Semakin tinggi suhu annealing maka semakin tinggi nilai bandgap yang dihasilkan. Dari hasil yang diperoleh, terlihat bahwa film tipis BaZr0,5Ti0,5O3 yang dihasilkan memiliki sifat semikonduktor dan berpotensi digunakan sebagai sensor atau komponen elektronik yang bekerja memanfaatkan energi pada panjang gelombang cahaya ultraviolet.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to make wollastonite from silica obtained from rice husk ash and commercial calcium carbonate using the solids reaction method. The DTA-TGA results show mass due to the evaporation of H2O and the decomposition of CaCO3 into CaO along with the calcination temperature, in addition, the DTA results also identify the formation of the ?-CaSiO3 phase and the ?-CaSiO3 phase. The XRD results of wollastonite obtained were dominated by the ?-CaSiO3 phase and the minor phase was ?-CaSiO3 this was indicated by the peak intensity of the ?-CaSiO3 phase which was higher than the peak intensity of the ?-CaSiO3 phase. the second phase in wollastonite is also the result of FTIR results through the analysis of the Si-O-Ca functional group in each wollastonite sample. In addition, the results of the SEM analysis showed the shape of the spheroidal particles (spherical) with an average grain size of 0.19 m, 0.35 m and 0.68 m for the calcination temperatures of 900 oC, 1000 oC and 1100 oC, respectively. The results of this study indicate that the manufacture of wollastonite from the basic ingredients of rice husk silica and commercial calcium carbonate has potential as an alternative material for the manufacture of wollastonite.

Abstract

In this study, the characterization of the carbosil asphalt composite was carried out with a composition variation of 1:9; 1.5:8.5; 2:8; 2.5:7.5; 3:7 and the ratio for pure carbosil without the addition of asphalt. Carbosil is obtained from rice husk waste by using the pyrolysis method. This research was conducted to determine the effect of temperature on the microstructure, structure and functional groups of carbosil asphalt composites. XRD analysis obtained that the phase formed from each composition variation was an amorphous phase. The DTA/TGA analysis shows that there is a change in energy due to the addition of heat, which is indicated by the presence of mass shrinkage in the sample. Compressive strength results indicate that the strength of the carbosil asphalt composite with different material compositions affects the resistance to cracking.

Abstract

Abstract. It has been realized the design of the orange based sweet level measuring device using an arduino based semi cylinder capacitor sensor. This study was conducted by providing input to the capacitor plates using an oscillator with a variety of frequency values of 10 KHz, 100 KHz, and 1 MHz. The oscillator used is the IC XR-2206 type. The sweet level of orange fruit is measured using a pocket refractometer otago pal-?. Semi cylinder capacitor sensor testing is carried out on 16 oranges. The most optimal measurement results are obtained in a 100 KHz frequency variation because the graph of the measurement results drops linearly. The voltage range at a frequency of 100 KHz is 200 - 2000 mV, with a brix value obtained between 13.8 - 16.7%. The higher the orange voltage, the lower the Brix value contained in oranges. Brix value 13.8 - 15.6% states the sweet level of orange fruit is sour, while the Brix value 16.7% states the sweet level of orange fruit is sweet. The results of testing the tool obtained an average error value of 0,004% and a tool accuracy value of 99,6%.

Abstract

In radiotherapy cases of cancer on the surface of the skin generally use electron beams. The electron beam has not been able to provide the optimum surface radiation dose. Therefore, a material that is able to increase the dose of surface radiation is needed, which is called a bolus. This study tested a bolus made from a mixture of beeswax and petroleum jelly. The bolus test includes the determination of density, the value of Relative Electron Density (RED) and the determination of the absorbed dose. The absorbed dose value was obtained by irradiating using a Linear Accelerator (LINAC) at 6 MeV and 9 MeV energies. The RED value was obtained from the bolus tomography image using a CT-simulator by determining the Region of Interest (ROI). The bolus density values obtained from physical measurements using the TPS program have almost the same average density values. The RED bolus value obtained at a thickness of 0.2 cm to 0.8 cm has a lower RED value than the RED value of the breast, which is 0.976. However, at 1.0 cm thickness, the RED value is equivalent to breast tissue. The value of the absorbed dose in a bolus made from a mixture of beeswax and petroleum jelly, the thicker the bolus used, the smaller the increase in the absorbed dose. The results of this study indicate that a bolus made from a mixture of beeswax and petroleum jelly can be the choice of bolus material during radiotherapy.
