Abstract

So that in the nature of man, we find three principal causes of quarrel. First, competition; secondly, diffidence; thirdly, glory. The first, make at men invade for gain; the second, for safety, and the third, for reputation. The first use violence, to make themselves masters of other men’s persons, wives, children, and cattle; the second, to defend them; the third, for trifle as a word, a smile, a different opinion, and any other sign of under value, either defect in their persons, or by reflection in their kindred, their friends, their nation, their profession, or their name. Abstract

ABSTRACTAn educational institution that has low-level conflict, or no conflicts at all, are likely to experience stagnation, not increased, and failed to achieve effectiveness. For that a leader must control conflicts at moderate levels so that these organizations can be dynamic and achieve high effectiveness. If the conflict is at a high level, it is feared that the educational institutions are difficult to control, if not the whole potential of educational institutions used to think of conflict resolution. This will be detrimental to the institution and may even fail to achieve effectiveness. This paper discusses conflict management in education. Conflict management is the ability to control the conflict, which requires specific management skills. Effective conflict management can be realized when it is able to develop and implement a strategy of conflict well. In the teachings of Islam, the conflict is not a goal but a means to bring together various contradictory things to liberate human life and the individual interests of ugliness, so that later gave birth to goodness.Keywords Conflict management, education, educational institution

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to analyze the service quality and its influence to the student satisfaction in the State University of Padang (UNP). This research used five dimensions of SERVQUAL with the sample of 400 respondents from 27,997 students. With the descriptive analysis, UNP has to improve the service quality to make higher student satisfaction in the future. By using Regression analysis, it is found that five dimensions of SERVQUAL significantly influence the student satisfaction. Partially, only reliability and empathy have significant effect to the student satisfaction. Kata Kunci: Kualitas pelayanan, kepuasan pelanggan, mahasiswa
