Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji bagaimana dakwah Islam merespons wacana penghapusan pendidikan agama dari sistem pendidikan nasional, dengan menyoroti kembali kedudukan pendidikan agama Islam dalam konstruksi ideologi Pancasila, landasan hukum perundang-undangan, dan arah sistem pendidikan nasional di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi kepustakaan, dengan analisis konten terhadap dokumen hukum seperti UUD 1945, Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, serta sumber interpretasi ideologis Pancasila, kemudian ditindaklanjuti dengan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi argumen dakwah terkait fungsi pendidikan agama di ranah publik. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan agama memiliki legitimasi konstitusional yang kuat sebagai bagian dari tujuan pendidikan nasional untuk membentuk manusia yang beriman dan bertakwa. Dari sudut pandang dakwah Islam, upaya penghapusan pendidikan agama di sekolah bertentangan dengan dasar negara dan berpotensi melemahkan peran dakwah dalam pembinaan moral-spiritual generasi muda. Dakwah Islam melalui lembaga keagamaan maupun masyarakat sipil terlihat memainkan peran penting dalam mempertahankan eksistensi pendidikan agama sebagai nilai luhur bangsa. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pemetaan sistematis mengenai argumen dakwah terhadap isu sekularisasi pendidikan yang belum banyak dibahas dalam kajian sebelumnya, sekaligus menawarkan kerangka analitis untuk memperkuat legitimasi pendidikan agama dalam kebijakan publik.

Abstract

Women's resistance against the authoritarianism of the New Order is the socio-political context of Indonesia during the leadership of President Soeharto. In the book "Berjuang Melawan Tiran" written by 42 authors, it provides motivation from the side of resistance to fight oppression. This study aims to find out how the analysis of women's resistance against the authoritarianism of the New Order is described in the book entitled "Berjuang Melawan Tiran" using Tzetan Todorov's narrative theory, namely, conditions of balance, disturbance, awareness of disturbance, to repair the disturbance, new balance. The research method uses literature studies. The results of the study obtained equilibrium (initial balance) starting from the normal life of women before the conflict as students or workers, disruption (disruption) from the New Order regime created injustice and violence, recognition (awareness of disturbance) awareness that the struggle also concerns gender inequality and patriarchy, repair (efforts to repair disturbances) building organizations and continuing after the reform, new equilibrium (new balance) formed a new awareness even though the struggle is now more individual and full of challenges. This research demonstrates the author's real-life experiences, demonstrating how feminist theory and narrative analysis of the New Order can be used together to gain a better understanding of the complexities of resistance that motivated other women to defend social equality.

Abstract

This study investigates the evolving role of gender within the Buginese community of South Sulawesi, focusing on shamans, known as sandro, who are integral to healing, spiritual guidance, and community rituals. Historically male-dominated, the role of sandro has been reshaped by recent societal changes that allow women to assume these traditionally male roles. Employing a gender communication framework, the research explores how gendered cultural narratives influence the acceptance, resistance, and adaptation of women as shamans, highlighting the interplay between traditional norms and contemporary gender discourse. This study adopts a feminist perspective, utilizing a phenomenological approach and Standpoint Theory to examine the roles of male and female shamans in decision-making within the community. The findings reveal that women shamans increasingly take on leadership roles, shouldering significant spiritual and social responsibilities, while male shamans often occupy supportive positions. This shift indicates a transformation of traditional gender norms. However, the study also identifies resistance to the role of shamans, often rooted in religious beliefs that challenge the legitimacy of shamanic practices. By examining gender dynamics within the Buginese shamanic tradition, the research enhances our understanding of the relationships between gender, culture, and spirituality. The findings underscore the need to address persistent gender biases to promote greater equality and inclusivity in spiritual practices and community life, emphasizing the importance of a gender-sensitive approach in cultural preservation and social progress.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan secara analitik tentang “Pola Gerakan Dakwah Muhammadiyah di Buton Masa Orde Lama.”. Data-data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari hasil wawancara mendalam, pengamatan dan telaah atas sejumlah dokumen yang berkaitan dengan tema penelitian. Seluruh data dianalisis berdasarkan mekanisme dan proseudur kerja sejarah, yaitu: heuristik, kritik, intrepretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan: Pertama, gerakan dakwah Muhammadiyah di Buton setelah masa kemerdekaan dimulai pada tahun 1955. Dakwah Muhammadiyah pada masa ini, focus pada upaya mencerahkan akal budi, penguatan pengamalan agama dan menjauhkan masyarakat dari prilaku bid’ah,takhyul dan khurafat. Hingga tahun 1960 pola pendekatan dakwah Muhammadiyah di Buton didominasi model dakwah bi al-lisan (verbal) dan “cenderung” bersifat reaktif terhadap tradisi keberagamaan masyarakat setempat.Kedua Memasuki awal tahun 60-an, pola bi al-lisan (verbal) berpadu dengan aksi sosial dan pemberdayaan. Yaitu memberi santunan kepada kelompok lemah dan mendirikan lembaga pendidikan mulai dari tingkat dasar hingga menengah. Capain terpuji Muhammadiyah pada tahun 1961, ketika organ ini berhassil mendirikan sekolah Pendidikan Guru Agama Pertama (PGAP) di Bau-Bau.
