Abstract

Families have the role and primary responsibility for the care and protection of children from class SRONO culture, education, values and norms of community life begin in the family environment. For the perfect and harmonious development of children's personalities, they must grow in the family environment in a climate of happiness, love and understanding. What is the correlation between the implementation of the norms of happy and prosperous small families with learning difficulties in class VIII semester II SMP Nurul Falah Srono. This study uses a quantitative approach with the method used to analyze data using the tetrachoric correlation statistical method. The results of his research that there is a correlation between the norms of happy and prosperous small families with the learning difficulties of VIII semester II semester students of Nurul Falah Srono Middle School, the level of relationship obtained by 0.542 lies between 0.400 to 0.600 which means the level of correlation is sufficient.

Abstract

Developing countries today compete to attract foreign direct investment to their local hotel industry. Branding and promotion are the ones of the business activities that can assist to the achievement of good performance. Therefore, this study had a general objective of examining the influence of branding and promotion activities to the business growth, case of Serena Hotel. The target population was Serena hotel employees and its customers. The study adopted purposive and simple random sampling methods to select 133 potential respondents. The quantitative data were collected by using administered questionnaires sent to the customers and employees of targeted population and documentary technique have been used for qualitative data collection. Thereafter, statistical techniques have been used to summarize the information. Data from the field were cleaned, sorted, coded, tabulated and statistically analyzed by using SPSS. Among 133 questionnaires sent to the respondents, only 125 were returned for analysis. In data analysis, descriptive statistic was used to compute the frequency and percentages. The results obtained concluded branding and promotion activities were important variables to influence business growth of Serena hotel. As a conclusion, the findings of the study showed that advertising, sales promotions, public relations, personal selling direct marketing and product branding had stronger impact on business growth in Serena Hotel/Rwanda. The recommendations have been given to different domains and the areas for further researches had been identified.

Abstract

The reseacher is motivated by the the absence of a social science learning module (IPS) that integrates with “Sedekah bumi” as the local wisdom in conducting this research junior high school Menganti. Therefore a research on the development of IPS modules integrate the local wisdom on the diversity of Indonesian etnichs and cultures was conducting in classs 7th B of junior high school Menganti. This study aims to describe the feasibility of the IPS module in terms of validity and practicality. This research conducted using the development model with the R&D design of Borg and Gall (1975). The data in this study were obtained through a validation sheet and response questionnaire module. The results of the study show that: (1) module validity is based on the validation sheet in terms of valid category content and module validity in terms of display category is very valid, and (2) module practicality is based on a very practical category response questionnaire. From these results it can be concluded that the IPS module integrates the local wisdom of earth alms tradition is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the classroom conditions for student learning activities. This was quantitative and qualitative research, conducted on 40 subjects, using the questionnaire as an instrument. The results identified five conditions, including (1) The learning strategy practiced, as lecturers tend to use various offline methods in the classroom, which need to be upgraded to online-based models. (2) The condition of course material utility, which was assessed to already be good, although improvement is also necessary, through the use of various models, including Facebook online live study. (3) The state of the facilities also needs to be improved in terms of air conditioners and internet signals with fast network access capacity, in order to ensure proper online-based learning. (4) Lecturer competency; The analysis results of this section have an impact on knowledge, in relation to online learning, therefore properly increasing Internet technology literacy. (5) Student characteristics, which are explained already, characterized by online learning with good knowledge of social media.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain factual information regarding the implementation of the policy of merging public elementary schools in the South Jakarta region which consists of SDN Rawajati 03, SDN Pondok Pinang 10, and SDN Pejaten Timur 11. The method used in this study is evaluative with data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Subjects in the study are the Principal, Teachers, and School Operators. The research findings show that the school incorporation policy is very precisely implemented which is seen from three perspectives of school managers who are research subjects. Based on the principal's perspective, it is known that the school incorporation policy has an impact on school management that is more effective and efficient so that education can run smoothly. The school incorporation policy also makes teachers work together and discuss related learning strategies so that students become more effective in learning and teaching activities. Different results were found from the perspective of school operators, namely the implementation of the school merger policy resulting in the increasing workload of school operators.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using augmented reality media in learning achievement especially psychomotor domain at computer assembling subject of X Multimedia students in SMKN 10 Surabaya. Quasi-Experimental design has been used which consists of experimental class (augmented reality media) and control class (powerpoint slides media). Each class consists of 30 students. Data was analized by using independent sample t-test on SPSS software version 24. The data showed that psychomotor domain of the experimental class were higher than the control class.

Abstract

Intention to act of students is an interpretation of knowledge of ecosystems and locus of control. This study aims to look at the relevance of students' intention to act which is analyzed through ecosystem knowledge and locus of control. Research on the intention to act to date has been developed because of the problem of deterioration in people's behavior in interacting in the ecosystem. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with a sample of 203 respondents. The technique used is multistage random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire for locus of control and intention to act data collection. Multiple choice instrument in retrieving data on ecosystem knowledge of students. This study concluded that there was a relationship between ecosystem knowledge and locus of control with the intention to act.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the legal view of nyolong in the Oseng tribe in Banyuwangi. This study was designed using qualitative research with an emancipatory approach, with marriage theory. Data collection is done through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies and literature studies. The analytical method used is descriptive. The results of the research are the factors causing the occurrence ofmarriages nyolong and the settlement process ofmarriages nyolong in the Singojuruh community. is a man who fled a woman who would be made a wife without the knowledge of the female parents without an application or proposal process, while the process of settling amarriage nyolong in the Singojuruh oseng community was after the theft or helping the male send one of his closest relatives to convey the occurrence of female theft to women's parents / families, the families of men and women negotiating to complete the next process, and discuss the implementation of the marriage procession.

Abstract

One of the important roles of adult education facilitators in Nigeria is to get involved in the development of learning materials for their learners. This responsibility is better performed if they are familiar the processes involved in the development of learning. This paper contended learning materials must be need-based, reflecting local content, supporting learners’ participation, clear and accessible, logical and coherence. The paper conclude that if facilitators follow the steps involved in development of learning materials sequentially they will be able to succeed in developing relevant and useful learning materials

Abstract

This study intends to describe the effect of the Discovery Learning model on students' critical thinking skills in the 8th grade of junior high school. This type of research is quantitative with the method used is Quasi-Experiment. The subject of this research is 8-th grade Middle-School 2 Candi Sidoarjo consisting of an experimental grade and a control grade. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion shows that the activities of teachers in social studies learning meet the criteria both in the experimental group and better than the control class, student activity in improving students' critical thinking skills in the experimental group is better than the control class, student responses meet the positive categories, and there is a significant and influence/difference at a significant level of 5% (0.05) with a significant value or p-value of 0,000, so it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning learning model has a significant on students' critical thinking skills on material in the country's geographical conditions ASEAN countries through the atlas compared to conventional models. Characterized by the results of students 'critical thinking tests, 80.75% of students obtained an N-gain of 0.7 and the teacher's activities were carried out well and students' activities were actively and more enthusiastic in learning social studies.
