Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the classification of the components of the meaning of the verb "hurt" in Javanese, (2) the component of the lexical meaning of the component meaning of the verb "to hurt" in Javanese, and (3) the semantic role of the verb "to hurt" in Javanese. The research method is descriptive qualitative, with a componential analysis approach to the meaning of the verb "hurt" in Javanese. The data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data is in the form of interviews with native Javanese speakers using the listening method with free-talk engagement techniques. The number of respondents was 10 respondents who came from the village of Taraman, Sindhuharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The selection of respondents was based on native Javanese speakers who have low mobility, so that their Javanese language skills are not contaminated by Indonesian or foreign languages. The secondary data is taken from various readings about verbs in Javanese and also uses a Javanese dictionary. The data collection technique was done by means of participatory observation. Based on the results of the research above, 34 verb lexemes of the hurting type were found in Javanese. Of these 34 lexemes are classified into 2 categories, namely "hurt" with physical and non-physical (verbal) targets. From the distinguishing elements, these two lexemes have different diagnostic components in their categories. In general, the components of the verb lexeme that hurt the target object are always living things, both human and animal, although the latter only occurs in a few words, such as "scarring", clawing. Another component of meaning in this type of area that functions as a differentiator between one vocabulary and another is the components of general objects and specific objects of tools and methods. Based on the type of meaning, there are 8 subcategories of the type of meaning, namely injuring by leaving a mark, pressing, throwing, pushing, stabbing, pinching, twisting, and bumping. Each lexeme has meaning within the subcategory, but differs in its additional components. Other components of meaning that often function as distinguishing characteristics are the object component (general objects, special objects), method, tool, place, time of purpose, and intentional (intentional or unintentional). The presence of the affix form is also very likely to affect the shift in meaning. Abstract

The development of the times requires everyone to understand the sophistication of technology. In the 21st century, everything digital has become the main foundation in the development of digital media. Digital media is one of the media that can be used in the learning process. In the process of learning literature, especially in elementary school, it can adjust to the needs. Folklore can be used as teaching material in the process of learning literature. The purpose of this research is to develop QR Code-based digital media on folklore as a medium that can be used in the learning process. The method used in this research is the ADDIE method in which there are 4 stages in the research process and data collection namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analysis phase is carried out to determine the needs related to the problems and characteristics of students in implementing the learning process. At the design stage, digital media design is carried out to be developed. After designing digital media, it is then developed and validated by experts. Based on the results of the recapitulation of the eligibility value of the media, an average value of 3.63 was obtained from validator 1, 3.75 from validator 2. The total average value of the validator was 3.69 or equivalent to 92%. Based on the average feasibility value, it can be concluded that the media is very suitable for use in the process of learning literature in elementary school.AbstrakPerkembangan zaman menuntut setiap orang memahami kecanggihan teknologi. Pada abad 21 yang serba digital menjadi landasan utama dalam pengembangan media digital. Media digital menjadi salah satu media yang dapat digunakan pada proses pembelajaran. Dalam proses pembelajaran sastra khususnya di SD dapat menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan. Folklor dapat dijadikan sebagai materi ajar dalam proses pembelajaran sastra. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media digital berbasis QR Code pada cerita rakyat sebagai media yang dapat digunakan pada proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode ADDIE yang mana ada 4 tahapan dalam proses penelitian dan pengumpulan data yaitu Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Tahap analisis dilakukan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan dan karakteristik siswa dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Pada tahap desain dilakukan perancangan media digital yang akan dikembangkan. Setelah dirancang media digital kemudian dikembangkan dan divalidasi oleh ahli. Berdasarkan hasil rekapitulasi nilai kelayakan media diperoleh nilai rata-rata 3,63 dari validator 1, 3,75 dari validator 2. Jumlah rata-rata keseluruhan nilai dari validator sebesar 3,69 atau setara dengan 92%. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata kelayakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media sangat layak digunakan pada proses pembelajaran sastra di SD.

Abstract

This paper describes ethnosemantic system of fish classification in Kaera Language, a papuan language spoken in East Pantar, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The aims of this study are to document vernacular names of fish in Kaera Language, to classify them using folk taxonomy proposed by Berlin (1992), and to describe the fish naming system in Kaera community. The data were collected by employing quasi-experimental method, resulting in 63 terms of fish in Kaera language. The data were then transcribed and classified based on their taxa in folk taxonomy (Berlin, 1992). The result of data analysis showed that fish in Kaera Language are classified into four levels of taxonomy hierarchy namely unique beginner, life form, generic and specific. While regarding folk nomenclature, Kaera community name the fish by their appearance, habitat, and imagination, reflecting their cultural perspective that is influenced by nature around them. AbstrakMakalah ini mendeskripsikan sistem pengklasifikasian ikan secara etnosemantik dalam bahasa Kaera, bahasa yang termasuk rumpun bahasa papua, dituturkan oleh masyarakat Pantar Timur, Kabupaten Alor, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Tujuan penulisan makalah ini adalah untuk mendokumentasikan nama-nama ikan dalam bahasa Kaera, mengklasifikasikannya berdasarkan taksonomi daerah yang diusulkan oleh Berlin (1992), dan mendeskripsikan sistem penamaannya dalam masyarakat Kaera. Data dalam kajian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen, menghasilkan 63 istilah ikan dalam bahasa Kaera. Data yang terkumpul kemudian ditranskripsi dan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan taksa dalam taksonomi rakyat (Berlin, 1992). Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa ikan dalam bahasa Kaera diklasifikasikan ke dalam empat level hirarki taksonomi, yakni unique beginner, life form, generic, dan specific. Sementara itu, berkaitan dengan nomenklatur, masyarakat Kaera menamai ikan berdasarkan tampilan, habitat, dan imajinari, merefleksikan perspektif budaya masyarakat Kaera yang dipengaruhi oleh alam di sekitar mereka.

Abstract

Language styles emerge as one of the sociolinguistics subfields that focus on the way people speak based on the formality scale of the social life that people have. This research, entitled "An Analysis of Language Styles used by the main characters in the dialogues in the "Business Proposal" series", is a thesis that aims to show the difference in language styles using Martin Joos's (1967) theory from his book "The Five Clocks" as well as the social factors theory by Janet Holmes (2013) that influence the usage of language styles. The method used in this thesis is a qualitative method, and the data source is a series from South Korea with the title "Business Proposal." The researchers have found that there are 144 dialogues in 10 episodes of the series that consist of 0 dialogues in frozen style, 3 dialogues in formal style, 80 dialogues in consultative style, 55 dialogues in casual style, and 6 dialogues in intimate style. After that, to conclude this research, the researchers discovers that the usage of language styles by the main characters is caused by social factors such as participants’ age and position, settings of home and office, jokes and serious topics, and functions in sharing information and asking something.AbstrakGaya bahasa muncul sebagai salah satu subbidang sosiolinguistik yang berfokus pada cara seseorang berbicara berdasarkan skala formalitas kehidupan sosial yang dimiliki. Penelitian yang berjudul "An Analysis of Language Styles used by the main characters in the dialogues in the "Business Proposal series" ini merupakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menunjukkan perbedaan gaya bahasa menggunakan teori Martin Joos (1967) dari bukunya "The Five Clocks" serta teori faktor sosial oleh Janet Holmes (2013) yang mempengaruhi penggunaan gaya bahasa. Metode yang digunakan dalam tesis ini adalah metode kualitatif, dan sumber data yang digunakan adalah serial dari Korea Selatan dengan judul " Business Proposal." Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan 144 dialog dalam 10-episode yang terdiri dari 3 dialog gaya formal, 80 dialog dalam gaya konsultatif, 55 dialog dalam gaya kasual, dan 6 dialog dalam gaya intimate. Seteah melakukan analisis, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan gaya bahasa oleh karakter utama disebabkan oleh faktor sosial seperti usia dan posisi tokoh, lokasi rumah dan kantor, lelucon dan topik serius, dan fungsi dalam berbagi informasi dan saat menanyakan sesuatu.

Abstract

The research analysis of comparative literary studies is motivated by two titles of poetry texts that have the same meaning, namely the poem "Kangen" by WS Rendra and the poem "Rindu" by Medy Loekito which are also objects in this comparative literary research. The purpose of this comparative study is to find out the difference in the meaning of longing from the two objects of the poem. In the analysis of the two poems, a comparative descriptive research method is used, which is carried out by collecting data and then performing a comparative analysis, namely determining the similarities, differences and relationships of the objects of comparative literary study. The results of this study are to show the meaning of the word longing and the word longing which actually has the same meaning, namely the desire to meet a loved one. In the two poetry texts there is relevance, namely feelings, because in both poems they express feelings of longing with different language styles. AbstrakPenelitian analisis kajian sastra bandingan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dua judul naskah puisi yang memiliki kesamaan makna yakni puisi “Kangen” karya WS Rendra dan puisi “Rindu” karya Medy Loekito yang sekaligus menjadi objek dalam penelitian sastra bandingan ini. Tujuan dari kajian perbandingan ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan makna kerinduan dari dua objek puisi tersebut. Dalam analisis kedua puisi tersebut menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif komparatif yang dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data kemudian melakukan penganalisisan perbandingan yaitu menentukan persamaan perbedaan maupun hubungan dari objek kajian sastra bandingan tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah menunjukkan makna kata rindu dan kata kangen yang sebenarnya memiliki persamaan makna yaitu keinginan untuk bertemu dengan orang yang dicintai. Dalam kedua teks puisi tersebut terdapat relevansi yaitu perasaan, karena dalam kedua puisi tersebut mengungkap perasaan rindu dengan gaya bahasa yang berbeda.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the desire of researchers to utilize the results of studying folklore in learning language skills. The researcher aims to utilize the results of the study of folklore as an alternative to folklore, thereby adding to the treasures of students' folklore. Students also have additional value from various folklore. The theoretical studies used include matters of culture and learning Indonesian language and literature. The research method used is a pre-experimental design. Students are given learning treatment with the results of folklore studies, then given a test. The results of utilizing the results of folklore studies show good results. Students are enthusiastic in the learning process. The test results also showed that students mastered the material being taught. Thus, the results of the study of folklore have benefits in learning language skills of students. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi keinginan peneliti untuk memanfaatkan hasil kajian cerita rakyat dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa. Peneliti bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan hasil kajian cerita rakyat sebagai salah satu alternatif cerita rakyat, sehingga menambah khazanah cerita rakyat peserta didik. Peserta didik pun memiliki tambahan nilai dari beragam cerita rakyat. Kajian teoretis yang digunakan di antaranya adalah perihal kebudayaan dan pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan praeksperimental. Peserta didik diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran dengan hasil kajian cerita rakyat, lalu diberikan tes. Hasil pemanfaatan hasil kajian cerita rakyat menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Peserta didik antusias dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil tes pun menunjukkan peserta didik menguasai materi yang diajarkan. Dengan demikian, hasil kajian cerita rakyat memiliki kebermanfaatan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa peserta didik.

Abstract

The purpose of this research; (1) describe, explore, and analyze the shift in religious ideology in Kahlil Gibran's poem Almustafa, (2) describe, explore, and analyze the construction of the reality of religious values in Kahlil Gibran's Almustaf poem. This type of research is classified as a qualitative descriptive research. The approach used is a critical literacy approach, which is to analyze the use of language aspects that experience a shift in religious values. The object of this research is the poem Almustafa by Kahlil Gibran. Data collection techniques used library techniques, namely reading, understanding, and analyzing the poem Almustafa by Kahlil Gibran. The data analysis technique uses library techniques, namely by reading, understanding, and analyzing the poem Almustafa by Kahlil Gibran through a critical literacy approach. The results showed that; (1) there is a shift in religious values in some parts of the poem. In poetry, Kahlil Gibran's views on religious values contain controversy between the title which is illustrated as a form of reflection of Islamic figures and the illustration presented. The shift in religious values occurs due to errors in the use of language aspects, namely concrete words, idioms, and figurative language used that are not in accordance with the context. The language aspect is fragments of poetry in the form of words, clauses, or sentences, (2) the shifts that occur, both in nature and in scope are different, this is due to differences in religious values conveyed by the construction of reality in the text. The shift is in the form of syncretism of several religious values, namely Islam, Hinduism, Christianity so that the benchmark for the value of truth in a message and the meaning of poetry becomes abstract. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk, (1) mendeskripsikan, mengeksplorasi, dan menganalisis pergeseran ideologi agama dalam puisi Almustafa karya Kahlil Gibran, (2) mendeskripsikan, mengeksplorasi, dan menganalisis konstruksi realitas nilai agama dalam puisi Almustaf karya Kahlil Gibran. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah ancangan literasi kritis, yaitu menganalisis penggunaan aspek bahasa yang mengalami pergeseran nilai-nilai agama. Objek penelitian ini adalah puisi Almustafa karya Kahlil Gibran. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pustaka, yaitu membaca, memahami, dan menganalisis puisi Almustafa karya Kahlil Gibran. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik pustaka, yaitu dengan membaca, memahami, dan menganalisis puisi Almustafa karya Kahlil Gibran melalui ancangan literasi kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) terjadi pergeseran nilai-nilai agama dalam beberapa bagian puisi. Dalam puisi, pandangan-pandangan Kahlil Gibran tentang nilai-nilai agama mengandung kontroversi antara judul yang diilustrasikan sebagai bentuk refleksi tokoh Islam dengan ilustrasi yang disampaikan. Pergeseran nilai-nilai agama terjadi akibat kesalahan penggunaan aspek bahasa, yaitu kata konkret, idiom, dan bahasa figuratif yang digunakan tidak sesuai dengan konteksnya. Aspek bahasa tersebut merupakan penggalan-penggalan puisi berupa kata, klausa, atau kalimat, (2) pergeseran yang terjadi, baik sifat maupun cakupannya berbeda-beda, hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya perbedaan nilai-nilai agama yang disampaikan dengan konstruksi realitas yang ada dalam teks. Pergeseran tersebut berupa sinkretisme beberapa nilai agama, yaitu Islam, Hindu, Nasrani, dan Yahudi sehingga tolok ukur nilai kebenaran dalam sebuah pesan dan makna puisi menjadi abstrak.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the intrinsic elements contained in the folklore entitled 'The Origin of Lake Toba' with the story 'Tsuru No Ongaeshi'. The purpose of this study is to seek and find the similarities and differences of intrinsic elements between Indonesian folklore entitled 'The Origin of Lake Toba' and also Japanese folklore entitled 'Tsuru No Ongaeshi'. This study uses a genetic structural approach, where this approach is carried out by comparing and analyzing the structure of the story using the intrinsic elements in each story. The results of this study indicate that in the folklore "The Origin of Lake Toba" with the folklore "Tsuru No Ongaeshi" there is a relationship. The two folk tales both tell of a person who returns the favor, who then makes a promise to the person who is reciprocated, but in the end the promise is broken. In the story "The Origins of Lake Toba", a woman incarnated from a goldfish is made the wife of the main character, namely Toba. Meanwhile, in the story "Tsuru No Ongaeshi", the girl incarnated as a crane becomes the adopted daughter of an old husband and wife. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh unsur intrinsik yang terdapat pada cerita rakyat yang berjudul ‘Asal-usul Danau Toba’ dengan cerita ‘Tsuru No Ongaeshi’. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mencari dan menemukan persamaan dan perbedaan unsur intrinsik antara cerita rakyat Indonesia yang berjudul ‘Asal-usul Danau Toba’ dan juga cerita rakyat Jepang yang berjudul ‘Tsuru No Ongaeshi’. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan struktural genetik, yang dimana pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan membandingkan dan menganalisis struktur cerita dengan menggunakan unsur intrinsik pada masing-masing cerita. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pada cerita rakyat “Asal-usul Danau Toba” dengan cerita rakyat “Tsuru No Ongaeshi” terdapat suatu hubungan. Kedua cerita rakyat tersebut sama-sama menceritakan seseorang yang berbalas budi, yang kemudian orang tersebut membuat janji kepada orang yang dibalas budinya tersebut, namun pada akhirnya janji tersebut malah dilanggar. Pada cerita “Asal-usul Danau Toba”, perempuan jelmaan dari ikan mas dijadikan istri oleh tokoh utama, yaitu Toba. Sedangkan pada cerita “Tsuru No Ongaeshi”, gadis jelmaan burung bangau menjadi anak angkat dari sepasang suami istri yang sudah tua.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is so important, the government through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology takes strategic steps, one of which is the implementation of MBKM. The MBKM program is socialized through the Ministry of Education and Culture's Website and through mass media. The mass media has always been active in assisting the government in socializing the program to the public. Therefore, a critical discourse study is needed to determine the relationship between the discourse in the news text about the program and the current state of education. Critical Discourse Analysis put forward by Norman Faircglough is used as a theoretical basis in this study. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data in this study is a news article in the Kompas.com about MBKM, then the data in this study is a discourse that contains microstructural, mesostructural, and macrostructural dimensions that can be related to the phenomenon or condition of education in Indonesia at this time. Furthermore, the data collection of this study was carried out through several stages; a) identification, b) encoding, c) writing data. Then on data analysis is carried out through; a) classification of data, b) presentation of data, c) interpretation of data, d) retrieval of conclusions. The results obtained in this study are there; a) textual dimension (microstructural) b) dimension of discourse (mesostructural), and c) macrostructural social dimension.AbstrakPeningkatan kualitas pendidikan begitu penting, membuat pemerintah melalui Kementrian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi mengambil langkah-langkah strategis, salah satunya ialah implementasi MBKM. Program MBKM disosialisasikan melalui Website Kemendikbud Ristek serta melalui media massa. Media massa selalu aktif membantu pemerintah dalam menyosialisasikan program tersebut kepada masyarakat. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan kajian wacana kritis untuk mengetahui hubungan antara wacana dalam teks berita tentang program tersebut dengan kondisi pendidikan saat ini. Analisis Wacana Kritis yang dikemukakan oleh Norman Fairclough digunakan sebagai pijakan teori pada penelitian ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun sumber data pada penelitian ini ialah artikel berita di Kompas.com tentang MBKM, selanjutnya data pada penelitian ini ialah wacana yang mengandung dimensi mikrostruktural, mesostruktural, dan makrostruktural yang dapat dikaitkan dengan fenomena atau kondisi pendidikan di Indonesia pada saat ini. Selanjutnya, pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan; a) pengidentifikasian, b) pengodean, c) penulisan data. Kemudian pada analisis data dilakukan melalui; a) pengklasifikasian data, b) penyajian data, c) penginterpretasian data, d) pengambilan simpulan. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini ialah terdapat; a) dimensi tekstual (mikrostruktural), b) dimensi kewacanaan (mesostruktural), dan c) dimensi sosial makrostruktural.

Abstract

The existence of the BIPA Institute at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon will also influence higher education accreditation. One component of the BIPA Institute is the curriculum. This research aims to develop the BIPA curriculum in the Indonesian Language Tadris Department. This qualitative research uses descriptive methods. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation from the BIPA Institute at IAIN Surakarta, IAIN Tulungagung, Yogyakarta State University, and Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. Data were analyzed using the steps of collection, presentation, reduction and drawing conclusions. Validity of data using triangulation: theory, time, sources, methods, and researchers. The research results show that the development curriculum: 1) is new to planning, 2) pays attention to learner needs, 3) uses culture as media and material in learning, and 4) needs to receive support for facilities and infrastructure from IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.AbstrakKeberadaan Lembaga BIPA di IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon akan turut memengaruhi akreditasi Perguruan Tinggi. Salah satu komponen Lembaga BIPA adalah kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan kurikulum BIPA di Jurusan Tadris Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dari Lembaga BIPA di IAIN Surakarta, IAIN Tulungagung, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, dan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Data dianalisis menggunakan langkah pengumpulan, penyajian, reduksi, dan penarikan simpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi: teori, waktu, sumber, metode, dan peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kurikulum: 1) baru pada perencanaan, 2) memperhatikan kebutuhan pemelajar, 3) menggunakan budaya sebagai media dan materi dalam belajar, serta 4) perlu mendapat dukungan sarana dan prasarana dari IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
