Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) students use online loan services in connection to loan accessibility and financial planning. The background of this study is the rise in student use of online loan services, which are typically used to finance lifestyle needs rather than necessities. Through purposive sampling, 100 students were chosen to take part in the survey for this associative quantitative study. SPSS version 25 and multiple linear regression were used for data analysis. Purposive sampling was used to select 100 students for this study, which employs an associative approach and survey method. A p-value of 0.000 and a regression coefficient of 0.638 demonstrate that loan accessibility has a significant and positive impact on consumer behavior.  A regression coefficient of 0.438 and a p-value of 0.000 show that financial planning has a significant and advantageous effect.  Both variables have a significant impact on consumer behavior, as evidenced by the significance value of 0.000 and the F-count value of 93.419 (which is higher than the F-table value of 3.09), respectively.  With a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.658, financial planning and loan accessibility account for 65.8% of the variation in student consumption patterns.  The remaining 34.2% are affected by factors that are not part of the research model

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Genesis, Lion Parcel's internal Warehouse Management System (WMS), in enhancing operational efficiency at the Gunung Krakatau Branch in Medan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data was obtained through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with warehouse and operations staff, as well as internal company documentation. The research findings indicate that the implementation of Genesis has had a positive impact on several efficiency indicators, including faster sorting processes, improved stock recording accuracy, reduced human error, real-time data access, and enhanced operational reporting quality. The system has also contributed to a significant decrease in customer complaints. However, the implementation of Genesis also faces several challenges, such as human resource adaptation to new technology, reliance on internet connectivity, and the need for updated standard operating procedures (SOPs). Overall, the Genesis system holds great potential to be further developed as part of Lion Parcel's digital transformation in logistics management. Its implementation not only improves operational efficiency at the branch level but can also serve as a strategic digitalization model to be widely applied throughout the company’s distribution network.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the institutional challenges and direction of reform within the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) in managing national waqf. Although Indonesia has enormous waqf potential, with over 414,000 hectares of waqf land and approximately 420,000 nazhirs (Islamic trustees), the reality is that only about 10% of these assets have been managed productively. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research through analysis of academic literature, policy documents, and official reports from related institutions. The results indicate that the main problems lie in weak coordination between the central and regional BWI, limited human resource capacity, a lack of transparency and accountability, and low literacy and public trust in waqf management institutions. Furthermore, the implementation of waqf regulations has not been optimal due to lengthy bureaucracy and the absence of regulations that adapt to contemporary waqf innovations such as digital waqf and stock waqf. Comparisons with Malaysia and Turkey demonstrate that the success of productive waqf management is largely determined by institutional professionalism, strong regulatory support, and the integration of public policy with technology and the Islamic financial sector. Therefore, BWI institutional reform needs to focus on professionalizing nazhir (managers), digitizing the national waqf management system, and developing fiscal policies that encourage productive waqf innovation. These reforms are expected to strengthen transparent, accountable, and globally competitive national waqf governance to achieve the welfare of the community in accordance with the principles of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah (the main objectives of Islamic law)

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in improving the local economy in Madawau Village, Madapangga District, Bima Regency. MSMEs are one of the sectors that have a major contribution to national and local economic growth, especially in creating jobs, increasing community income, and encouraging village economic independence. The research approach used is qualitative with a phenomenological design, through in-depth interviews and observations of MSME actors and the local community. The results of the study show that MSMEs in Madawau Village are able to increase community income by 20-30% per year, create jobs, and encourage innovation and creativity in the village community. However, the development of MSMEs in this village still faces challenges both internally, such as limited capital, skills, and business management, and externally, such as market competition and access to financing. Therefore, support is needed from the government, financial institutions, and community participation in strengthening the MSME ecosystem so that it can become a driving force for a sustainable local economy.
