Abstract

The Semarang Old City area is a historical tourist area and urban public space in Semarang City which has undergone revitalization. This revitalization has had an impact on increasing social and economic activity and supporting tourist arrivals, making pedestrian paths play a crucial role because they are part of the activities in the Old City area. Providing quality pedestrian paths is one of the needs that must be met to increase user comfort, considering that the revitalization of the Old City also carries the concept of walkable tourism where tourists are invited to enjoy the beauty of the Old City on foot. This research aims to assess the quality of pedestrian paths in the Kota Lama area by measuring the Global Walkability Index (GWI) which consists of 9 parameters. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method by comparing the existing conditions of pedestrian paths in Kota Lama with the GWI assessment standards. Apart from that, visitors were also assessed by distributing questionnaires to determine visitors' perceptions of the quality of existing pedestrian paths. The sample from this research was 96 respondents who were divided into 6 segments where sample selection used the stratified random sampling method. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the level of walkability of pedestrian paths in the Old City area based on observation results was 61.8 and based on user perceptions it was 62.4. This score is included in the score classification of 60-79, indicating that in Kota Lama there are complete and comfortable pedestrian facilities so that most activities can be carried out on foot. Improving the quality of pedestrian paths can be done by referring to GWI parameter values that are still below average, such as conflicts between pedestrian paths and other modes of transportation, the availability of crossing facilities and infrastructure for people with disabilities. Apart from that, development is also carried out on parameters that are deemed to need improvement according to existing conditions, such as security parameters against crime and the availability of supporting facilities.

Abstract

Development in Indonesia aims to prosper the people. Infrastructure development such as airports is also hoped to bring prosperity to the community. However, in addition to these positive impacts, there are also negative impacts, namely causing changes in the use of the surrounding land. Yogyakarta is building Yogyakarta International Airport in Temon District, Kulonprogo Regency. Therefore, this study aims to determine the dynamics of land use in Temon District before and after the construction of the Yogyakarta International Airport. The research method uses a qualitative approach with an analysis of the classification of satellite imagery from 2012-2022. The dynamics of land use in 2012-2017 showed the conversion of dry land agriculture to ponds of 260 ha and the conversion of paddy fields to settlements of 14.50 ha. Whereas in 2017-2022 the conversion of dry land agriculture to airports was 329.48 ha, conversion of ponds to airports was 74.06 ha, conversion of paddy fields to airports was 70.06 ha, and residential conversions to airports were 66.73 ha. The most changes in land use in Temon District are dry land agriculture, ponds, rice fields, settlements into airports.

Abstract

Free Trade Zone (FTZ) is an area that is separate from the customs area so that it is free from the imposition of import duties, VAT, PPnBM and excise. One of the FTZ areas in Indonesia is the Bintan FTZ. Being on the side of the busiest international trade route in the world makes Bintan a gateway for the inflow of investment, goods and services to and from abroad. The availability of human resources and land as well as the commitment of the Regional Government really supports the growth of investment. So an instrument is needed for potential investors regarding the availability, distribution and condition of potential land for investment. With a descriptive-qualitative approach and using spatial analysis techniques and the accuracy of the satellite image data obtained, an academic and comprehensive instrument can be produced. Satellite image data is subjected to orthorectification and georeferencing correction to test its validity and then digitized, attribution, and attached to spatial planning regulations as well as analysis of land condition criteria that support investment to produce potential land for investment. The results of the analysis show that 1,679.53 Ha (4.23%) and 15,423.92 Ha (38.80%) of the total Bintan FTZ area falls into the very high and high potential land categories. These lands are dominated by bushes, moors and open land, have good road accessibility and high accessibility to transportation nodes for access to goods, services and labor.

Abstract

Spatial planning has an association with transportation where space is an activity which is placed on city land, while transportation is a network system that physically connects one activity space to other ones. Tourism is one of the areas designated for cultivation sectors. In addition to population and natural resources, transportation is one of the main components in terms of developing a region. Kulon Progo Regency develops tourism areas by dividing them into several KPPD and KSPD in accordance with the direction of tourism activities development. Kulon Progo has various natural tourism prospective ranging from coastal tourism, lowlands and mountains which have the potential to be integrated with water resource conservation according to the Kiskendo KSPD development plan. The development of tourism in a region requires several supporting factors, one of which is accessibility in reaching the location. Accessibility in finding a location is related to various factors that determine the level of ease and comfort in reaching a location. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the level of accessibility in reaching ecotourism objects at the Kiskendo KSPD which is in Kapanewon Girimulyo. With two study targets, namely: (1) Identify accessibility in ecotourism areas and (2) Assess accessibility in ecotourism areas. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis and triangulation analysis. With the various variables used, the results showed that the level of accessibility in reaching ecotourism objects in Kapanewon Girimulyo scored in the "Moderate" category. The variable that has a "Difficult" value thereby it reduces the level of accessibility is the steepness of the road with its supporting factors, which are the high level of landslide risk and which affects the level of accessibility.

Abstract

Semarang Regency comprises 19 sub-districts, each exhibiting varying levels of regional growth. In the year 2015, six sub-districts boasted a Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) value exceeding one trillion rupiah. These notable sub-districts include Bawen District, East Ungaran District, West Ungaran District, Bergas District, Pringapus District, and Ambarawa District. Within these sub-districts lie urban areas that exert diverse degrees of influence. The primary objective of this research is to identify urban clusters that have formed within these five sub-districts under examination, shedding light on which urban areas wield the most significant influence. The research methodology employed is quantitative descriptive analysis. Secondary data collection involves the utilization of documentation techniques, encompassing the recording and analysis of statistical data closely aligned with the subject matter at hand. The findings of this study reveal that the urban clusters within Ambarawa District exert the most substantial influence, while those within Bawen District exhibit the least influence among the five sub-districts scrutinized. This study aspires to offer valuable insights to the Semarang Regency regional government, facilitating informed decision-making in designating Ambarawa as the focal point for urban development within the Semarang Regency area.
