Abstract

This study aims to provide a specific description of the Performance Structure of the Play "Adong Pulang" for the Petta Puang Play Troupe in South Sulawesi. This study uses a qualitative approach, the data obtained through the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The purpose of this study is to understand in detail and then describe the structure of the play "Adong Pulang" for the Petta Puang Play Troupe in South Sulawesi. To explore the problems in this research, a structure and texture analysis approach will be carried out as well as Thomas Munro's aesthetic elements which include ideas, details, elements, composition, structure, interwoven elements. All these aesthetic elements in theatrical performances are manifested through plot, characterization, theme, dialogue, scene, costumes, lighting, setting, property and music. This study concludes that the structure of the theater performance of “AdongPulang” for the PettaPuang Sandiwara Group in South Sulawesi is not tied to the concept of determinants, meaning that the show relies more on improvisation which is built through loose dialogues and responses from the audience. In addition, several general theater concepts are no longer a reference in the show, but appear as they please, as they are with one principle that is important for the audience to be entertained

Abstract

Active Application of Learning to Improve Student Learning Outcomes to the Aspects of Theater in Learning Arts and Culture Class X Madrasah Aliyah Allu. Department of Performing Arts, Department of Educational Education, Faculty of Art and Design, Makassar State University. Advisor I Hamrin, S.Pd, M.Sn. And Advisor II Dr. Andi Ihsan, S.Sn, M.Pd.This researcher aims to increase students' interest in learning about art and culture aspects of theater class X MADRASAH ALIYAH ALLU through active learning methods, which are active learning methods which will then influence student learning outcomes in the art and culture learning process of class X MADRASAH ALIYAH ALLU, Bangkala District Jeneponto.In accordance with this type of research, namely Classroom Action Research, the researcher has three stages of activity in the form of cycles, namely Pre Cycle, Cycle I, Cycle IIBased on the results of the provision of the Preliminary Test (Pre-Cycle) the data obtained student learning outcomes have a percentage of classical completeness 20% with an average value of 54.3. In the first cycle student learning outcomes have a percentage of 43% with an average value of 61.33. In cycle II student learning outcomes have a classical percentage of completeness 80% with an average value of 77. The results of research conducted prove that increasing student learning outcomes, prove by, students follow learning through the application of active learning that can be done in the teaching process and teacher performance .Keywords: Active Learning, Student learning interest outcomes in learning

Abstract

Kecapi Empat Sekawan Group's performance is one of the traditional Bugis music performances in the Sidrap area that has uniqueness and differences from other harp games. This Four Sekawan Harp Group performance is a musical performance accompanied by the attractions of the performers. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a focus on researching the performance form of the Four Sekawan Harp Group in Sidrap Regency of South Sulawesi. Data collection techniques using observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, grouping data, and concluding. The results showed that the performance form of The Harp Group of Four Sekawan is composed of actors, the type of elong kelong sung, the attractions of pakacapi sere, musical instruments played, costumes, time and place of performance

Abstract

The article entitled “The journey of life and creativity of Kemas Anwar Beck the PlembangBaghi artists” was theoretically encouraged to understand the aspects of the work, thought and success of the package of Kemas Anwar Beck’s natural talent. The choise pf Yaii Beck is a close call for Kemas Anwar Beck as a research subject because he is a skilled and successful atists with many skills, who created Palembang songs and dance traditions of South Sumatera and did an understanding of smooth Palembang remains intact. The author approaches psichology directly through interviews using theoretical and multiple concepts in humanities and social sciences. The results of the study revealed that Kemas Anwar Beck is the one who successfully contributed his work to the development of the art in South Sumatera.

Abstract

The problem that often occurs in the scope of hotel regulations is marketing, in the sense that hotel restaurants are still often located in hotels, both management and marketing. Hotel marketing is still dominated by basic facilities such as rooms and meeting rooms, so the marketing of the restaurant is less significant. This has an impact that the source of income from the restaurant is not able to meet the target. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research on how the role of hotels in promoting restaurants and how to implement visual digital marketing strategies in boosting restaurant publications. The purpose of this study is to reveal a marketing strategy that applies visual digital marketing by the managers of Best Western Premier La Grande in applying digital marketing with a creative human approach. The type of research used is field research, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The research produces descriptive data that analyzes the role of digital or online marketing at the Best Western Premier La Grande hotel. The results showed that the Best Western La Grande Hotel in Bandung implemented a marketing strategy based on creativity and used a digital marketing approach. This can be seen from the findings in the field that the Best Western Premier Bandung hotel has an online website which is located at http://bwpremierlagrande.com/ and Digital Brochure or E-brochure. In addition to supporting hotel marketing, these two contents also introduce the restaurant owned by the Best Western Premier Bandung hotel. The marketing creativity of the Best Western hotel and restaurant management team does not only stop at the website and e-brochure, the manager of the Best Western Premier Bandung Hotel through their public relations IT uses hashtags in the Instagram application, especially to introduce the restaurant. Some restaurant visitors are advised to take a photo of the dining menu and then upload it on Instagram with the hashtag Best Western Premier Bandung. With this hashtag, netizens will find it easier to get information quickly when looking for content related to hotels or restaurants.

Abstract

The function of today’s fashion is not only as a cover of the body for the sake of modesty, but as a way of communicating. Fashion communication can be conveyed through clothing, costumes, and make-up which associated with the latest issues, such as mental health. WHO revealed that 450 million people in the world had suffer from mental disorders, and more than 150 million people have experience depression. The issue of fashion and mental health gave birth to a subculture in Japan called Yami Kawaii. Yami Kawaii is a fashion style that represents a depressive style of clothing with a cute touch. Dressing in the Yami kawaii style is a way for some people to send a message to others that they are suffering from a psychological or mental disorder that is shown through the clothes they wear. This study aims to see visual signs in the Yami Kawaii style as a representation of mental health. This study uses visual analysis with an element of fashion theory approach with six (6) elements of fashion, including: (1) Silhouettes, (2) Lines, (3) Details, (4) Fabric, (5) Motifs, (6) Colors. The results of this study indicate that the overall style of Yami Kawaii contains 6 elements of fashion to deliver the messages about mental health issue.

Abstract

The connotative advertising of advertising is certainly not sufficient to be interpreted conventionally, because each type of advertisement has its own character. Ads that try to convey implicit messages and communication about identity politics with rhetorical variants appear in the 2017 “Lucky Strike Seeing Things Differently” ad. it displays the daily routine rhetoric of a grown man with quite sublimative cinematic visuals. Today's rhetoric routine is very dominant with the practice of masculinity. The selected visual signs have an awareness of the masculinity of adult men, so that the audience is carried away by the practices of masculinity that are uniquely presented with daily relativity. The presentation of the sign of masculinity is important for research to reveal how the rhetoric of the sign in the advertisement “Lucky Strike Seeing Things Differently”. This research method uses Charles Sander Pierce's semiotic method which is related to the representative, object, and interpretant. The results of this analysis provide an understanding that this advertisement also tries to shape the perception of masculinity through the daily routine of men who become advertisements. The sign of masculinity is also directed at the physique inherent in the advertising model in the form of a tall, stocky, and long-haired posture.

Abstract

The concept of Fala Raha that exists in Ternate society (North Maluku), has a high understanding of meaning in their cultural life. This philosophical meaning can be interpreted scientifically and conceptually into the meaning of MIM in the understanding of Islamic religion.The concept of Fala Raha which is interpreted in the understanding of MIM in Islamic religion, is embodied in the self concept (Fangare). The embodiment of MIM in the self-concept (Fangare) for Ternate society, is an acknowledgment of the kinship that exists in their cultural structure, so that it becomes an essential life concept for Ternate society (North Maluku).

Abstract

Parasite is one of the films that have a message that shows signs in every scene in class domination. This study aims to analyze the Parasite film by looking at the visual presentation aspect associated with the hedonism perspective carried out by Kim Ki-taek's family figure who comes from the lower class. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method that uses Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. The results of the study show that Parasite is a realistic dark comedy thriller movie. This Parasite movie makes spectral arrogance have a strong emotional effect on one of the film's characters and it turns out that it has no basis in the metaphysical realm but in the economic realm in the form of the emergence of hedonism in Kim Ki-taek's family character. The depiction of two different conditions between the Park Dong-ik family and the Kim Ki-taek family, which in reality describes the two different worlds in which the poor and the rich life.

Abstract

A Nasyid is a type of music that has existed in Indonesia for decades. The nasyid is an art form performed by a group consisting of several people. This nasyid is performed in Acapella and contains religious verses and reminds of goodness. In its development, nasyid music experienced ups and downs in the Indonesian music scene. Nasyid music (in acapella format) is now emerging and drowning in nasyid music itself. This journal offers a solution in response to this. Local language nasyid music is one solution in preserving nasyid in the community. It is intended so that the presentation of nasyid can be enjoyed by everyone, and the message of goodness in nasyid music can reach people. Local language nasyid music is expected to bring nasyid music closer to people familiar with local languages. The foreign impression on nasyid music can be removed, and it is hoped that the community will accept it. The local-language nasyid can be a medium for preserving local languages in the community. Among so many nasyid music in local languages produced and circulated in the community, it is expected that the younger generation could be more familiar with the local wisdom in the form of local languages.  As well as becomes entertainment contain positiveness in the form of kindness messages from the song lyrics.
