Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all aspects, including education. This pandemic also impacts education in Malang City, and the Education Office has implemented learning from home policy. However, implementation for two semesters shows that both the school and students are relatively not ready to be involved in distance learning activities. This article aims to look at the tendency of learning readiness to understand the material of Junior High School students in Malang City during distance learning. The quantitative survey approach answers questions that answer the purpose of this article. The calculation of Slovin determined student readiness data collected from all state Junior High Schools in Malang City as many as 400 people with a degree of error of 5%. The data technique uses an online questionnaire (google form). The data is managed through the editing, scoring, coding, and tabulating stages, which are the basis for conducting a cross-tabulation analysis. Field findings show that public Junior High School students in Malang City have a high level of learning readiness and tend to understand the material with an average percentage of 60%. The implications of these findings contribute to understanding the implementation of distance learning from the student's point of view regarding the aspect of readiness-recommendations for further research related to how distance learning is managed based on the existing readiness profile.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the urgency of history learning media innovation. The development of the times puts history learning to have challenges to be able to adapt the learning targets faced, namely the Z Generation. This generation was born in the early 2000s. The character of this generation is very sensitive to technology and communication, meaning that they have advantages in the field of information and knowledge. Meanwhile, educators who were born in the previous era are still didn't used to it, so that educators often admit to being "gaptek" (stuttering technology). Therefore, this study describes the urgency of developing Mobile Learning media using local historical sites. The description presented covers the development stage of the first part. This section describes a preliminary study to see potential problems and analyze the needs of students in learning history. The results obtained from this study are quite significant with the percentage reaching above 80% for the category of interest in mobile learning media. In the early stages of product development, the materials and media produced from the field research process at the historical site of General Sudirman in Pacitan is also presented. In addition, it also describes the form of the media design as an initial draft with adjustments to the learning interests of the Z Generation. So, Mobile Learning is expected to facilitate the Z Generation in learning history.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Silent Demonstration in Open Learning Environments and how these activities can integrate students to critical thinking, creative, communication, and collaboration in social studies subjects. The method used by the researcher is a phenomenological qualitative approach by describing the behavior, responses, actions of individuals and groups in the form of words and language, naturally (naturally). Data collection techniques through observations in grades VIII G and VIII H, in-depth interviews with subject teachers and group leaders of 14 students and documentation during the research. The research results are that the implementation of silent demonstrations in OLEs attracts students' attention through observations in understanding production, consumption and distribution activities so that learning objectives are achieved. This learning activity integrates integrated skills between Silent Demonstration which attracts students' attention through observation and Open Learning Environments (OLEs) which presents the context of a natural resource perspective from the environment.to build multiple points of view through tools/media as an effort to strengthen 4C learning (critical thinking, creative, collaborative and communicative)

Abstract

The conflict in West Kalimantan is one of the negative impacts of ethnic diversity in Indonesia. To prevent the recurrence of similar conflicts, the participation of various parties, including the education sector, is required by developing conflict resolution education. This article aims to examine three things, namely (1) the theoretical design supporting the model from the educational aspect, (2) examining the initial design of the model, and (3) examining the design implementation of the model. The research was studied using the Sukmadinata approach which simplifies the development research stages of Borg Gall. The results show that (1) there are three educational theories used to develop conflict resolution models in social studies learning, namely progressivism theory, reconstruction theory, and humanist theory. (2) The development of the initial design of the conflict resolution model in social studies learning includes five aspects, namely syntax, social systems, management systems, support systems, and instructional and accompaniment impacts. (3) The design of the implementation of the conflict resolution model in social studies learning includes planning, targets, and actions.

Abstract

The demands and challenges of 21st century development occur in all areas, especially in the learning process and student competence. The achievement of 21st century learning objectives is implemented in the 2013 curriculum, one of which is through the development of Bahan Ajar Digital (BAD). Development of BAD uses STEM approaches and eco-spatial behavior in Population materials. It is expected to produce students who are able to innovate and compete in the digital age while maintaining environmental sustainability. The development research model uses the ADDIE procedure (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data type consists of qualitative and quantitative. Data collection using interview techniques, questionnaires, and documentation with descriptive percentage analysis techniques. The product development trial was conducted in class XII IIS MA Al-Ittihad Poncokusumo. The feasibility test results obtained 87% of student responses, 95% of teacher responses, 90% of material validators, and 95% of media validators. Thus, BAD is very feasible to be used in the learning of Geography.
