Abstract

This research was motivated by the concern over student’s delinquency phenomenon, especially bullying that have been widespread in education. Like a vicious circle, if bullying was not stopped it’s more likely being passed from one generation to others among the victims. Special handling needed in order to break the bullying chain. Based on preliminary observations in SMP Negeri 4 Bandung, some bullying behaviors were visibly done by the students of class VIII - E. Based on the data collected, bullying behavior by students of class VIII - E were quite high, therefore a learning strategy should be formulated in social studies to reduce bullying. The approach used in this study was class activity observation by adopted VCT model of role playing in social science learning implementation. The instrument used was a student’s bullying behavior observational sheet and student’s social science learning activities field note. Data collection techniques being used were observation, documentation studies and interview, while for the data processing and analysis qualitative and quantitative technique were used. Based on the final research being done, first the implementation started by determined the competency standards and basic competencies in order to arrange the lesson plan being used, second VCT role-playing model was implemented in the social science learning process in the classroom, third the result of the research during the class activities shown that bullying behavior of the students in 1st cycle up to the 3rd cycle were decreased, forth the obstacles from each cycle was reflected, fifth some efforts given to overcome the obstacles appeared from each cycle. Conclusion from the research was, the maximum result achieved in decreasing bullying behavior was in the 3rd cycle.Keyword: Bullying, Value Clarification Technique (VCT).

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all aspects, including education. This pandemic also impacts education in Malang City, and the Education Office has implemented learning from home policy. However, implementation for two semesters shows that both the school and students are relatively not ready to be involved in distance learning activities. This article aims to look at the tendency of learning readiness to understand the material of Junior High School students in Malang City during distance learning. The quantitative survey approach answers questions that answer the purpose of this article. The calculation of Slovin determined student readiness data collected from all state Junior High Schools in Malang City as many as 400 people with a degree of error of 5%. The data technique uses an online questionnaire (google form). The data is managed through the editing, scoring, coding, and tabulating stages, which are the basis for conducting a cross-tabulation analysis. Field findings show that public Junior High School students in Malang City have a high level of learning readiness and tend to understand the material with an average percentage of 60%. The implications of these findings contribute to understanding the implementation of distance learning from the student's point of view regarding the aspect of readiness-recommendations for further research related to how distance learning is managed based on the existing readiness profile.

Abstract

Masyarakat Kampung Naga ialah masyarakat yang tinggal di daerah kaki gunung Galunggung Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Mereka terkenal karena mempertahankan kebudayaan yang diturunkan dari para karuhunnya yang memiliki ajaran sunda wiwitan. Para Karuhun mengamatkan agar mereka tidak merusak alam dan juga hidup rukun sesama manusia. Untuk mewujudkan kepatuhannya atas amanat karuhun, mereka menerapkan kearifan lokal sunda wiwitan dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari. Amanat para karuhun ini menjadi aturan hidup masyarakat Kampung Naga. Pantang/pamali bagi mereka untuk merusak alam, dan dalam kehidupan bersosial harus hirup sauyunan dengan sesama. Ada sanksi adat yang mengikat bagi para pelanggar aturan tersebut. Amanat dari karuhun ini telah membentuk karakter masyarakat Kampung Naga yang selalu hidup harmonis dengan alam dan juga sesama manusia. Kearifan lokal sunda wiwitan yang terkandung dalam cerita historis masyarakat Kampung Naga ini menjadi nilai karakter yang berharga untuk dipelajari dalam pembelajaran IPS.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um033v1i12018103

Abstract

MSMEs have proven to be part of the national economic backbone and have survived the economic crisis that has occurred in Indonesia. However, MSMEs are required to continue to innovate in their business strategies in the rapid disruption of business. The purpose of this study is to explore the role of m-commerce in MSMEs' business innovation strategies. By a qualitative descriptive approach, this study conducted at the Tempe Chips Center in Sanan in Malang as a case study. This study used primary (informants) and secondary (works of literature) data as sources of data and collected by using observation, interview, and documentation and used purposive sampling in determining the informants. Triangulation tests carried out in order to check data from various sources in various ways and times. This study found that the use of social media and the marketplace as one of MSMEs' business strategies in marketing products is still less than optimal. Although almost all MSMEs businesses use the Whatsapp application in their business transaction processes, only a few are expanding the market through other media. In general, MSMEs are familiar with social media and the marketplace, but few of them can optimize it in marketing their products. Keywords: m-commerce, business strategy, business innovation, MSMEs

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought major changes, including education where most learning activities are conducted online. It is thus necessary to adapt into online learning policies where innovation is urgently needed. Among the innovations is an e-book titled Covid-19 Prevention Application (CPA) that contains Covid-19 disaster mitigation literacy for students. This research aims to: 1) produce an app for CPA; and 2) test the feasibility level of CPA app as a learning resource. The material in CPA app relates to disaster mitigation, linked to the Social Studies Learning for junior high schools, namely Social Change for the 9th graders (Class IX.1) at SMPN 21 Malang. This research and development modified Borg & Gall model, which is relevant to constructivism learning theory, Edgar Dale’s theory of experience, and cybernetic learning theory. Results show that the development of the CPA app is “highly feasible”. This result implied that CPA app offers solutions to help students in mitigating the Covid-19 disaster through creative learning. It is suggested that further large-scale trials will be conducted in the future to measure the level of effectiveness.

Abstract

Abstrak : Salah satu sajian matakuliah yang harus ditempuh dan penting untuk dituntaskan bagi mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah semester v adalah Penelitian Pendidikan Sejarah (PPS). Pentingnya mata kuliah ini karena sebagai prasyarat untuk menempuh matakuliah seminar di semester berikutnya. Selain itu luaran akhir dari matakuliah ini berupa project proposal penelitian yang nantinya akan berujung pada tugas akhir mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan studinya. Karena krusialnya matakuliah (PPS) ini maka dibutuhkan system pembelajaran yang dapat memahamkan mahasiswa tentang materi dan dapat mngaplikasikanya dalam penyusunan proposal. Salah satu cara yang paling efektif untuk dapat dilakukan dalam rangka menyusun sebuah system pembelajaran yang sistemik direncanakan secara matang dengan berbagai pertimbangan melalui kegiatan Lesson Study. Dari kegiatan LS inilah capaian akhir dari matakuliah PPS lebih dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini menguraikan pada satu kegiatan sampel untuk melihat keefektifitasan dari LS dalam memahamkan siswa terhadap masalah penelitian. Karena masalah penelitian adalah pijakan dasar dalam pembahasan matakuliah ini dan dijadikan topic berkelanjutan hingga penyusunan proposal.Kata Kunci : Lesson Study, Pembelajaran Sejarah, Masalah PenelitianAbstract: One of the subjects that must be taken and is important to complete for semester v history education students is History Education Research (HER). The importance of this course is because it is a prerequisite for taking the seminar course in the following semester. In addition, the final output of this course is in the form of a research proposal project which will eventually culminate in the final assignment of students to complete their studies. Because the crucial subject (HER) is a learning system that can understand students about the material and can apply it in the preparation of proposals. One of the most effective ways to be done in order to develop a systemic learning system is carefully planned with various considerations through Lesson Study activities. It was from this LS activity that the final achievement of the PPS course was more achievable. This research describes one sample activity to see the effectiveness of LS in understanding students about research problems. Abstract

Setiap orang cenderung menganggap kehidupan modern itu selalu baik. Orang-orang di perkotaan besar di Jawa Barat berlomba-lomba dalam modernisasi. Namun ternyata hal tersebut menimbulkan permasalahan, yakni permasalahan terganggunya lingkungan hidup dan terdegradasinya kebudayaan daerah. Atas permasalahan tersebut peneliti merasa prihatin dan mencoba mengangkat tema kearifan lokal masyarakat Kampung Naga sebagai wujud menjaga alam dan konservasi terhadap budaya Sunda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualtitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menyatakan: 1) Masyarakat menetapkan peraturan adat dalam hal tata kelola keruangan menjadi tiga peruntukkan yakni pemukiman serta perternakan, pertanian dan hutan larangan (hutan keramat). 2) Semua orang yang tinggal di wilayah Kampung Naga berprofesi sebagai petani yang menggunakan peralatan tradisional, ada beberapa warga yang memiliki pekerjaan tambahan dengan berjualan dan juga beternak ikan, 3) Semua bangunan rumah di Kampung Naga adalah rumah panggung yang mempertahankan arsitektur bangunan rumah adat Sunda. Dengan demikian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa segala aktivitas masyarakat Kampung Naga selalu berupaya selaras dengan alam, tidak boleh merusak alam serta mempertahankan kebudayaan sunda berdasarkan pesan dari karuhun-nya (leluhur).

Abstract

Mechanization in tea plantation business is a phenomenon that is happening in Indonesia. The demand for tea products, the existence of land and tea plants that must be routinely maintained makes the managers of tea plantations have to find ways to manage tea plantations. Mechanization is a strategy taken by planters to cultivate land and maintain the amount of tea products when fewer workers are attracted to the tea plantation business. This paper will discuss the mechanization that occurs in the tea plantations of Serah Kencong, Blitar Regency. The focus of this paper is to explain the causes of mechanization in Serah kencong tea plantations, the views of tea pickers about the mechanization on these tea plantations, and the impact of mechanization on the lives of Serah Kencong planter communities and the natural environment.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin canggih dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat. Masyarakat mengalami berbagai perubahan yang terjadi dalam kehidupan mereka, salah satunya semakin maraknya penyebaran hoax. Pembelajaran IPS di tingkat SMP memanfaatkan berbagai sumber informasi seperti berita di media massa elektronik. Jika sumber pembelajaran yang digunakan terindikasi berita hoax akan berakibat pada pemberian informasi yang keliru terhadap para siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat dilakukannya pencegahan berita hoax menggunakan aplikasi HBT (Hoax Buster Tools) V2 yang dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam memverifikasi berita yang ada fakta atau malah sebaliknya. Tim Pengabdian kepada masyarakat melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi pencegahan penyebaran hoax melalui media sosial WhatsApp Group. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan berita hoax melalui aplikasi HBT V2. Setelah kegiatan sosialisasi berakhir, tim pengabdian melakukan wawancara kepada para peserta berkaitan dengan kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan. Data pendapat yang diperoleh dari peserta sosialisasi pencegahan penyebaran hoax melalui aplikasi HBT V2 sebanyak 43 orang yang terdiri dari kalangan mahasiswa, dosen, guru IPS, dan masyarakat umum. Adapun data diperoleh melalui wawancara, studi literatur, dan dokumentasi. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 46,8 persen peserta berpendapat bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat dinilai sangat baik. Sebanyak 59,6 persen peserta menyatakan bahwa sosialisasi ini bermanfaat untuk mencegah penyebaran hoax dalam diri sendiri. Sebanyak 46,8 persen peserta menyatakan aplikasi HBT V2 telah efektif dalam mencegah penyebaran hoax. Sebanyak 89,4 persen peserta memilih akan terus memanfaatkan aplikasi HBT V2 dalam pencegahan penyebaran hoax.
