The purpose of National education is to develop the ability and to form the characterand dignified civilization in order to educate the life of nation, to develop the students’potential in order to be a religious man and cautious to the God almighty, noble,healthy, competent, creative, independent, and democratic citizen and responsible. TheIndonesian government plan the nation culture and character development begun by thedeclaration of education of culture and character of nation as a national movement inthe beginning of january 2010. This plan is reconfirmed in the president’s speech on theNational Education Day May 2, 2010. The purpose of this research is to know whetherthe scout student activity units takes effect to the scout students honest characterdevelopment of Riau University. The methodology in this research is DescriptiveQualitative. The population of this research is all the active scout members front groupRiau University 2016 which amount to 80 people. The result of recapitulation foundthat the respondents are dominant to choose the statemen” unberdened on doingsomething “ which are 64 respondents or 80%, while the less dominant is the statement“ being honest and polite to parents “ which are 5 respondents or 6.25%. If the databecomes a benchmark is very often (SS) and often (S) so the total is 80,41%.Therefore, it can be concluded that the level of honesty of scout student activity units isin the very good level.

Indonesian language has important and strategic role in the communication process in the middle of the association and social interaction. Through the Indonesian language is good and true, someone will be able to communicate both verbally and in writing to the other party in accordance with the context and situasi. Kemampuan speaking students well enough for the students' speaking style was influenced by the dialect of the native language. So the aim of this study was to determine the students' ability to speak in response to the reading of short stories seventh grade students of SMPN 19 Muara Fajar. The issues raised in this research is: how is the ability to speak the seventh grade students of SMPN 19 in response to the way Muara Fajar short story readings on aspects of pronunciation and intonation, how is the student's ability Muara Fajar SMPN 19 in response to a short story readings on suitability aspects of language? And how is the ability of students of class VII SMPN 19 Muara Fajar in response to a short story readings on aspects of mime and expression? The theory used is the theory Tarin, Nurgiantoro, Bungin, Sudjono, Suharma, Tri Endah Priyatni and Mustafa.populasi 147 people with a sample of 70 students selected at random. The method I use is descriptive quantitative method. To collect data the authors using observation and oral test. The conclusion of this study are: speech class VII SMPN 19 Muara Fajar in response to the reading of short stories academic year 2013/2014 on aspects of pronunciation categorized either with an average value of 77. The ability to speak the seventh grade students of SMPN 19 Muara Fajar in response to a short story readings on aspects suitability enough language category with an average of 62. the ability to speak the seventh grade students of SMPN 19 Muara Fajar in response to a short story readings on aspects of good gestures and expressions category with an average of 73. thus the hypothesis is rejected.

The Using of method and media precisely in learning process affect to student’s achievement. The purpose of this study is to determine: Is there any influence in using interactive multimedia with inquiry on equilibrium solusion topic toward chemistry student’s achievement. The population of this study were all chemistry student in first level in Faculty of Teacher Department of Universitas Riau (UR). The sample in this research were nonreguler chemistry students in first level of chemistry education department UR academic year 2010/2011 with total number 76 students which divided into 2 classes. The instrument that was used to collect data was cognitive test questions about 20 item. The hypothesis was analyzed by General Linear Model (GLM) Univariate, SPSS 17.0.The results of hypothesis analysis could be concluded that: (1) There was the influence in using interactive multimedia with inquiry on equilibrium solusion topic toward chemistry student’s achievement with level of significant (p = 0.000).

This study aims to improve students’ motivation and learning outcome in English by usingHypnolearning method. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) whereresearchers along with collaborators working together in designing learning scenarios,action, data analysis and reflection. Subjects of the study were students of class VIII SMPN23 Pekanbaru academic year 2015/2016 which the total number was 28 students. Thisresearch was conducted in two cycles following the procedure classroom action research -planning, action, observation and reflection. The first cycle consisted of five meetings, whilethe second cycle consisted of four sessions. Data acquisition was done through observation,field notes, interview and test. The study states that the method hypnolearning improvedmotivation and learning outcomes of English. Indicators increased motivation and learningoutcomes can be seen from the active participation of students in the learning process andlearning outcomes can be seen from the test evaluation. An increase of 25% from 71.43% incycle 1 to 96.43 in cycle 2. The average value of the class also experienced a good increase72.85% to 83.85%. Hypnolearning also made students more relaxed and confident in thelearning process

ABSTRACTLearning is an active process in gaining experience or new knowledge that causes behavioralchanges. Wena said a teacher must be able to set, choose and apply a learning strategyappropriately so as to solve the existing learning problems and ultimately can achieve thecompetence or learning objectives optimally.Teachers are required to perform their dutiesprofessionally, able to understand and have adequate skills in developing effective, creativeand fun learning models. Cooperative learning model is a model of learning where learnerslearn and work in small groups with different levels of ability. One alternative learning modelthat is expected to enable learners is the cooperative learning model Time Token.The TimeToken cooperative learning model is a learning model that aims to have each member of thediscussion group get a chance to contribute in conveying their opinions, as well as to preventlearners from dominating silent conversations and learners. Arends (2008) explains that TimeToken is a cooperative learning model used to develop students' participation skills. In thiscase Time Token helps the distribution of uneven participation in learners. And also one smallexample of the application of democratic learning in schools. Democratic learning process isa learning process that puts learners as subjects and can affect the learner activities that canthen support the improvement of learning achievement.The implementation of Time Tokencooperative learning model is expected to be able to overcome the problems with thecondition of learners in less active classes during the learning process and group discussionand can reduce the students dominating the conversation as well as the social interaction withother friends that can spur the formation of new responses / opinions and enrich Intellectuallearners, so that all learners can participate actively so that learners understanding betterand lead to increase learning achievement learners. Based on the results obtained the valueof the first cycle, the second cycle and the third cycle in a row (77.69 %), (79.23%) and(84.61%).

This study aims to help improve the competency of 63 Pekanbaru Elementary School teachers in the field of operating media in the learning process so that students are able to achieve minimum completeness criteria. As the subject in this study, elementary school teachers were horrified by 63 new sensitivities, totaling 13 people. The formulation of the problem in research I is whether the ability to use instructional media by teachers of SD 63 Pekanbaru can be improved through the academic supervision of the principal ?. The technique of data collection is done by filling in the observation sheet during the research action process by the supervisor so that qualitative data will be obtained as a result of research with performance indicators said to be successful if the average score is ≥75. The results of the study in cycle 1 obtained a percentage with a percentage score of 73% with a fairly good classification in the classification range (71–80). In the second cycle the percentage of success was obtained with a percentage score of 85% with a good classification in the classification range (81-90). Reflections on cycle 2 activities were successful because 85 were above the performance indicator> 75. The increase in understanding of the use of learning media from cycle I to cycle II. Weaknesses in the first cycle after being corrected in cycle II and reached a perfect level so that it can improve satisfactory results with good classification. Thus through academic supervision by the principal can improve the ability of teachers in understanding and using learning media in the SDN 063 Pekanbaru school "accepted".Keywords: Learning Media, Academic Supervision of Principals.

Learning is a process of interaction between teacher-student as reciprocal communication conducted on the educational situation to achieve a goal. Learning in the lower class do thematically so that meaningful learning. Thematic is a concept of learning by using themes to link several subjects, one concept to another and between the subject to spontaneous or planned either in one or more subject areas and with diverse experience. As an effort to improve the learning process can be done by using problem-based learning, ie learning by presenting contextual issues to facilitate students build knowledge independently or groups. This type of research is a classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. procedures covering the research, planning, implementation, monitoring / observation, and reflection. The research data in the form of information about the increase of learning in this case reciprocal activity between teachers and students. The research was conducted by two cycles.

The study was conducted with the aim of wanting to find out the biology laboratory profiles in high schools, especially private. Research was carried out on private high schools in the city of Pekanbaru T.A 2016/2017, as the research sample was carried out in a random way. This research method was using surveys, documentation and observation. The research instrument used in this study was documentation guidelines for knowing the Biology Science lab in high school. The results of the data analyzed descriptively regarding the Profile of the Biological Science Laboratory of SMAS in Pekanbaru showed that the Biology Science laboratory conditions were undergraduate and S4 in 89.4% (Very good), and each indicator observed at the time of observation showed good laboratory conditions.
