Abstract

Barru Membaca is a community library that provides community library services in Barru Regency. As the number of library collections and members increases, two fundamental problems are encountered, namely the difficulty of managing library collections due to the non-existent classification system and the difficulty of managing members who carry out library transactions. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to provide skills for partners to use the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) library classification system and integrate it with information technology using the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) software. This activity contains material on the DDC system and the practice of using SLiMS. The output of this activity is the implementation of training on the use of Electronic-Dewey Decimal Classification (E-DDC), which two lecturers facilitate from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, as implementers and assist my students as assistants. There were ten participants, consisting of the Barru Membaca manager and the local community. As a result of this activity, participants understood the DDC concept as a library material classification system and were able to apply SliMS software in managing library collections.

Abstract

Young entrepreneurs are now seen as having the potential to become the backbone or support for the country's economy. The problems of young entrepreneurs are still closely related to the difficulty of marketing. One of the factors that causes the distribution of goods to be less widespread is because young entrepreneurs have not done online marketing. Empowerment of young entrepreneurs is believed to be able to provide more benefits to businesses. But how business actors can make it part of a strategy that supports businesses in their respective core activities and supply chains is still an obstacle. The solution offered in this service program is to provide training and assistance that focuses on improving the ability of young entrepreneurs in the field of marketing communication through the website. For this reason, several sub-discussions will lead to promotion through the website, improving product quality through innovation and the use of technology. This program is carried out with the aim of encouraging and increasing the productivity of the young entrepreneurial community in Prumpung, East Jakarta so that they have both hard skills and soft skills so that they are able to be economically and socially independent.

Abstract

Empowerment is one of the strategies used in community development at this time. it can increase knowledge and power to reach a state of empowerment. one of the funding source empowerment programs comes from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). PT. PLN (Persero) Tanjung Jati B Generation Main Unit sees that there are vulnerable groups that have the potential to be developed in their business management, these groups are the disabled community "Sadifa" Jepara. The approach used is by using a 4-pillar model, namely the community as a supporting system and community activities, MSME Center, a forum for communication and cooperation, and the development of environmentally friendly products. This empowerment program aims to strengthen the economy of the disabled community through various activities such as making herbal drinks, various types of soap, hand sanitizer, convection business, basic food business, and so on. In addition, the activities carried out include various types of training to strengthen MSMEs, providing equipment assistance, opportunities to develop networks by means of mass media publications as well as initiatives for sustainable and environmentally friendly economic activities.

Abstract

The Posyandu housing Puri Kencana Sumbang has now formed a cadre to carry out monitoring activities for under-five nutrition by weighing. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this activity has not been carried out routinely. The purpose of this community service is to provide solutions to these problems by conducting training on the implementation of the application for monitoring the nutritional status of children and toddlers using mobile applications and website applications. This activity is in the form of providing information on the standards and indicators used in monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers as well as the use of applications used for the process of recording data on the nutritional status of children and toddlers which can be accessed online to Posyandu cadres and residents of Puri Kencana Sumbang housing. The achievements of this community service activity are that 12 participants consisting of representatives of cadres and residents of housing can understand the standards and indicators used in monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers and increase their ability to use the application for monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers, this is indicated participants became aware of the standards for measuring nutritional status and were able to name the measurement indicators. All participants also agreed that the features in the application were easy to use and very useful for monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers.

Abstract

River water and well water are the main sources for the daily water needs for the people of South Kalimantan. However, the peatland water has a muddy and smelly that has an effect on health. This cloudy and smelly condition is due to the condition of the peatlands in the South Kalimantan region. The use of peat water by the community in Muning Baru Village, South Daha, HSU has been carried out for a long time, especially UKM salted fish processing. The quality and quantity of fish production are affected by the quality of clean water. Implementation begins with the design of the filtration membrane, assembly of solar panels, pumps and filtration tubes. It is hoped that this application will support the society towards society 5.0. The results of the implementation are giving the needs of clean water up to 80%, either else NTU 30 become 3.44 NTU, TSS 522 mg/l become 352 mg/l, COD 31.9 mgO2 /l become 6.09 mg02/l.

Abstract

Ilung woven craft is an ehtnic handicraft product of South Kalimantan. Program kemitraan dengan masyarakat (PKM) activities are partnered with usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) Mujisela. The aim of this activity is to improve the quality and quantity of ilung woven craft products through the application of appropriate technology. The methods used in solving problems faced by partners are discussion, counseling, and practice. The results of the activities show that the application of canglong sewing machines, ilung presses, and tripods can increase production by 40-70% and increase sales by 70%. The application of appropriate technology has also increased the types of woven handicraft products produced.

Abstract

The Women Farmers Group (KWT) Benawa Raya Mandiri was only established in 2020. The crops are sold to collectors, but the harvests have not been able to meet market demand. This is due to limited land and lack of knowledge about vegetable cultivation. This PKM program is aimed at the Benawa Raya Mandiri Women Farmers Group. KWT is considered a superior group in absorbing the adoption of new technology, so it is very appropriate to be used as a pilot project activity. The success of the activity is expected to be replicated and disseminated or disseminated to other family members based on the description of the success of the Benawa Raya Mandiri KWT as the first hand in the adoption of technology for processing organic waste into compost through the takakura basket technique, processing organic waste into MOL, utilizing Urban Farming yards with a technical approach. planting tabulampot, verticulture, as the embodiment of the Sustainable Food House Model (MRPL). The methods applied are counseling and discussion; Takakura Basket and MOL technique composting training; training on making Sustainable Food House Models with an Urban Farming approach, administrative and financial management assistance; Monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

Tanah Laut Regency is a huge area with a large population to generate a lot of household/kitchen waste. Furthermore, Tanah Laut has a relatively significant waste of spent cooking oil due to its huge number of restaurants and food processing enterprises. The Banua Bersama Energy is a company that collects leftover cooking oil and sells it outside of the region. So far, sales have been made in the form of wasted cooking oil that has not been processed. This partner group does not yet have the knowledge and technology as them when it comes to processing spent cooking oil. It is envisaged that through this PKM program, partner groups can increase the economic worth and advantages of wasted cooking oil that has been collected. With the socialization to Biodiesel users, it has helped partners in fulfilling the market share from the production of processed used cooking oil.

Abstract

In this community services, cottoni seaweed processed products have been developed which are widely obtained in mangrove forest areas, mangroves, Rungkut Surabaya. Moreover, the production capacity has been increased so that production per day can increase significantly, i.e, to the double if using the equipment provided in this activity. Furthermore, the production process will also be accelerated so that not only the quantity of products per day is improved, but also the production time can be accelerated and the production process will be much more efficient. With the existence of this community services, it has also succeeded in increasing the diversification of processed products made from local raw materials efficiently and with a large production capacity. It has been produced that the production capacity is doubled per day if using the mixer equipment provided by the service team. Furthermore, by using a spinner that is also provided by the community services team, quality improvement is attained by slicing oil for processed fried foods.

Abstract

Generasi muda yang beradab, mampu bekerja sama, dan memiliki kepintaran secara kognitif, afektif maupun psikomotoriknya merupakan tujuan dari pendidikan karakter. Namun, pada masa pandemi COVID-19, terdapat berbagai hal yang mempersulit dalam menerapkan dan meningkatkan tujuan pendidikan karakter. Hal inilah yang menjadi fokus praktikan dalam upaya peningkatan pendidikan karakter anak yang dilaksanakan di Panti Asuhan Pintu Harapan yang terletak di Jalan Danau Sipinggan, Desa Sei Agul, Medan Barat. Terdapat 3 karakter utama yang di fokuskan dalam penelitian ini yang meliputi karakter religius, nasionalis, dan gotong royong. Praktikan menggunakan metode Social Group Work dengan FGD, observasi dan wawancara sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Melalui kegiatan ini dapat menunjukan kelompok sasaran telah menerapkan karakter yang ingin dikembangkan.
