Abstract

Strategi Komunikasi merupakan serangkaian yang harus dilakukan oleh CSR sebuah perusahaan dalam menyampaikan pesan pada program yang akan dilaksanakan. Dalam hal ini PLN Batam sebagai perusahaan kelistrikan memiliki tanggung jawab sosial terhadap lingkungan. PLN Batam yang memiliki sumber kelistrikan dari alam (Batubara) harus mengembalikan apa yang telah diambil melalui kegiatan CSR yang berfokus pada kelestarian lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan oleh program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT PLN Batam dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan di Kota Batam. Pada Penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di PT PLN Batam serta lokasi pelaksanaan program CSR di Kota Batam. Informan dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan terdiri dari delapan orang yang berasal dari karyawan PLN Batam, perwakilan komunitas/stakeholders, serta masyarakat penerima manfaat program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi CSR PLN Batam terdiri atas tiga tahapan utama, Perencanaan, mencakup analisis permasalahan lingkungan, penetapan tujuan program, serta perancangan solusi melalui kegiatan CSR. Pelaksanaan, melibatkan penyampaian pesan, pelaksanaan program nyata di lapangan, serta penggunaan media untuk publikasi kegiatan. Evaluasi, mencakup pengukuran efektivitas program dan media publikasi dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat. `Kesimpulannya, strategi komunikasi CSR PLN Batam telah dirancang dan dilaksanakan secara sistematis, dengan tujuan mendukung pelestarian lingkungan di Kota Batam melalui pendekatan kolaboratif dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan.

Abstract

Aaron Bushnell, a member of the United States Air Force, committed self-immolation in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., as a form of resistance to Israeli policies in Gaza. This incident attracted global attention and gave rise to various interpretations in the mass media. This study aims to determine the framing of the news coverage of Aaron Bushnell's self-immolation as a form of protest against Israeli aggression in Palestine on CNN Indonesia media in the period 26-27 February 2024. This study uses a qualitative method with the Pan and Kosicki framing model approach consisting of four main elements: syntax, script, thematic, and rhetoric. Data were collected through a documentation study of CNN Indonesia's news coverage discussing this event. The results of the study show that CNN Indonesia in reporting Aaron Bushnell's action used diction, a narrative that emphasized that this media framed the event through the perspective of humanity and politics that underlie the action. The framing used shows how the media constructs reality in a certain way, which has the potential to influence public opinion regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and political protest actions carried out by individuals. This research provides insights into how the media shape narratives in reporting on international conflicts and protests, and highlights how certain perspectives can dominate the presentation of the news.

Abstract

This study examines hosts' role in TikTok live broadcasts as part of a persuasive communication strategy implemented by Astra Motor BSD to increase consumer interest in purchasing Honda motorcycle products. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with the Head of Digital Marketing, two hosts, and two active consumers. Data analysis was carried out thematically with the help of NVivo software to identify communication and interaction patterns in live broadcast content. The results of the study show that hosts play an important role in building two-way interactions, conveying product information in an interesting way, and implementing persuasive communication techniques such as storytelling, direct invitations, use of nonverbal expressions, and limited offers such as discounts and gifts. In addition, the success of this strategy is supported by consistent live scheduling, the involvement of the digital marketing team, and the use of the direct message feature as a follow-up channel. This persuasive communication strategy has proven effective in forming positive perceptions of the brand and driving purchasing decisions. TikTok Live is a relevant medium for interactive, emotional, and responsive digital marketing communications.

Abstract

Tradisi ritual Panggoba di Desa Saritani melalui dimensi komunikasi ritual tidak lagi terjadi secara intensifikasi pertanian modern, Oleh karena itu, melalui penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) bagaimana bentuk komunikasi ritual panggoba dan (2) mengetahui dampak ritual komunikasi pada masyarakat petani di Desa Saritani. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menerapkan pendekatan komunikasi dengan melakukan proses wawancara untuk memperoleh informasi serta melakukan tahapan analisis melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa dalam tradisi panggoba terdapat unsur-unsur dimensi ritual komunikasi yang melibatkan pelaku, pesan, media, penerima, umpan balik, konteks serta kendala, yang memiliki dampak ritual komunikasi pada masyarakat petani berdasarkan kognitif, afektif, serta perilaku dari proses ritual panggoba.

Abstract

The phenomenon of toxic relationships is increasingly becoming a topic of public discussion, both in real life and on digital platforms. This study analyzes the representation of toxic relationships in the Indonesian film Ipar Adalah Maut (2024) and examines audience interpretations based on Stuart Hall's coding/decoding theory. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this study explores how audiences construct meaning from the film's depiction of emotional manipulation, domination, and broken trust in intimate relationships. The findings highlight that audience interpretations vary depending on their cultural backgrounds and personal experiences, illustrating how media texts can simultaneously reproduce and challenge social norms. This study shows that the representation of toxic relationships in Ipar Adalah Maut not only reflects real social issues but also shapes diverse meanings among audiences.
