Abstract

Library Orientation Class and Tour activities at the Library Technical Service Unit, Syiah Kuala University, to introduce new students to understanding procedures for accessing information in the library. Advances in digital technology or often referred to as new media such as computers, telecommunications, the internet, and the world wide web are able to provide better services to users. This is the background for the author to analyze the use of new media in the Library Orientation Class and Tour activities at the University Library Technical Service Unit, Syiah Kuala. The method used in this study is qualitative by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained from this study are the Library Orientation Class and Tour activities at the Syiah Kuala University Library UPT utilizing website media as information access media, Youtube media as educational media, and Zoom media as media that supports virtual tours.

Abstract

Media massa memiliki peran dalam melakukan pembingkaian atas berita yang ditayangkan. Kasus kerumunan yang melibatkan seorang Pimpinan Front Pembela Islam (FPI) Bernama Rizieq Shihab. Dalam pemberitaan, media massa mengeluarkan berita kerumanan tersebut secara berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pembingkaian berita media Kompas TV terhadap kerumunan Rizieq Shihab berupa isi 2 video berita bertemakan Kasus Kerumunan Rizieq Shihab. Penelitian dianalisis melalui pendekatan wacana kritis melalui tiga tahapan analisis yaitu analisis struktur makro, supertsruktur dan struktur mikro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawah terdapat berbagai macam wacana yang dikembangkan Kompas TV terkait pemberitaan kasus kerumanan. Sebagian besar teks berita cenderung menampilkan berita negatif yang menekankan Rizieq Shihab sebagai pihak yang membawa ancaman dan berbahaya. Sebaliknya citra yang ditampilkan kepada polisi sebagai pihak yang menegakkan hukum dan keadilan adalah citra yang positif.

Abstract

Korean drama, which is one form of the Korean wave, is a favorite show in modern society today. One of the reasons why Indonesia can easily receive Korean Drama shows is that Asian culture is still close and common, such as stories that talk about love and self-sacrifice. Not only Indonesia, but South Korean drama fans are also from various countries. Seeing this, OTT (over the top) service providers flocked to buy broadcast rights from South Korean television broadcasters and from production houses. For example, a Korean drama entitled Ghost Doctor airs on the OTT Iqiyi and Viu platforms. The drama, which adopts the medical fantasy and comedy genre, tells of a resident doctor named Ko Seung Tak who is doing an internship at his family's hospital, Ko Seung Tak who also has a "golden spoon" economic status has a personality that is inversely proportional to Cha Young Min (Professor Cha). Professor Cha is described as a thoracic surgeon who is genius and arrogant, one day he has an accident so that the spirit of Professor Cha is able to enter Ko Seung Tak's body. Professor Cha uses Ko Seung Tak's body to save the patient. The purpose of this study is to examine the golden spoon in the drama Ghost Doctor through Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis consisting of sign, object, and interpretant. The results obtained are that there are five scenes of a golden spoon in Ghost Doctor Korean drama.

Abstract

The City of Banda Aceh Government established PT Mahirah Muamalah Syariah as a form of attention to SME actors. The phenomenon studied is about how PT MMS employees promote through IMC to attract SME actors to become customersThis type of research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, which is carried out by presenting descriptive and detailed data about a phenomenon that occurs. The data collection method used consisted of interviews with 3 informants and also documentation aimed at strengthening the data obtained. Sources of data obtained in two ways, namely through primary data and secondary data. From the five components or indicators of IMC implemented by PT MMS, it is clear that the party from PT MMS has implemented this method based on the rhetorical theory of invitation that the researcher uses. It can be seen in how they convey persuasive information to attract SME actors in The City of Banda Aceh as customers of PT MMS. In the program carried out by PT MMS for SME actors in The City of Banda Aceh, it is quite successful, this can be seen in each of the IMC indicators they use. The facts on the ground show that PT MMS is a microfinance institution that really helps SME actors in The City of Banda Aceh through the IMC strategy they use and the responses from informants involved in the research process.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the Public Relations strategy implemented by KAI Commuter Line in reducing negative sentiment regarding the issue of sexual harassment on trains. This research was conducted by following a qualitative descriptive research approach. The examined data were collected using literature study techniques. The data sources were obtained from books, journals, articles, news, and uploaded media on various social media. The data that has been collected is then analyzed and classified. In this stage, the image recovery theory proposed by Benoit is applied. Its application is carried out by classifying data into the five basic image recovery strategies initiated by Benoit. The five basic strategies include: denial, evading responsibility, reducing the offensiveness of events, and corrective action. After this classification is carried out, the next step is to determine what strategies are implemented by Public Relations in dealing with negative sentiments regarding sexual harassment on the train. The findings of this study prove that PR has implemented the four image recovery strategies proposed by Benoit. These strategies are strategies for mortification, denial, corrective action, and strategies for reducing the offensiveness of events. The implementation of these four strategies can overcome negative public sentiment and restore PT KAI's image.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the elaboration of the Covid-19 vaccine infodemic message on generation Z vaccination decision making using the Elaboration Likelihood theory. The method used in this research is quantitative with the type of explanatory research, which is trying to form a research that explains the correlation between one social phenomenon (variable X) and another social phenomenon (variable Y). Data collection techniques, researchers use survey methods with sampling that has been determined by purposive sampling techniques. The validity test and reliability test stages are used by researchers to test the instruments that have been made. The stages of data analysis that researchers do are correlation coefficient test, simple linear regression test, determination coefficient test and hypothesis testing. The calculation results of the coefficient of determination test show a value of 54.4%, which is the percentage value of the influence caused by the elaboration of the Covid-19 vaccine message on generation Z vaccination decision making, for the remaining percentage value can be effect by other factors that are not the focus of this study. The results of the hypothesis testing in this study state that the elaboration of the Covid-19 vaccine infodemic message has a significant effect on generation Z vaccination decision making.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of the socialization of the First Level Health Facility (FKTP) online queuing program, which was carried out through the BPJS Kesehatan social media channel. Even though outreach has been carried out on social media channels that are close to the community, complaints about long queues at the FKTP are still often heard. This research was conducted using the snowball technique and distributing questionnaires online to 115 respondents. From the results of the survey conducted, it was found that more than half of the respondents did not have the mobile JKN application and were not aware of the online queue feature at FKTPs. However, most of the respondents stated that they had never experienced any problems when seeking treatment at the FKTP. The socialization carried out by BPJS Kesehatan is considered ineffective, as evidenced by the low number of application downloads compared to the number of JKN-KIS participants. In the writer's opinion, socialization efforts on BPJS Kesehatan social media channels and public figures partnered with BPJS Kesehatan with 500K followers on Instagram have not been able to provide socialization to the public in a broad reach and coverage.

Abstract

This article discussed stunting reporting in Aceh within the framework of local media. This study aims to further examine how the local mass media constructs stunting cases in Aceh and how the trend towards emphasizing the reality of stunting is framed in the news texts. The information in this study was derived from daily stunting reports in Indonesia's Serambi region in 2021. The cases of stunting that occurred in Aceh were the subject of this study. The data collection technique was carried out by observing texts on the Serambi Indonesia Daily throughout 2021. There were 37 reports on stunting, and then the researchers selected 12 reports that were deemed relevant and representative of the research problems and themes. From the results of the analysis, two major environmental areas are identified, namely: 1) the Stunting Issues Reporting Map, which has a tendency to discuss the implementation of stunting handling and prevention in Aceh; and 2) the emphasis on resource persons from the point of view of the government and stakeholders involved in stunting prevention. The media coverage frame provides an overview and mapping of information on stunting cases from the government's point of view. As a result, it is recommended that additional research be conducted from the community's perspective as a media audience in understanding and interpreting stunting discourse in Aceh.

Abstract

Gender issues and discrimination against women are widely found in indonesian society. The presence of films that raise stories and issues about gender is proof that in the midst of the community these problems and phenomena are true. The film Yuni (2021) by director Kamila Andini is one of the films that raises the theme of gender and women's problems that often occur in the community. Yuni's film presents a story inspired by a true story where a teenage girl has to face a difficult time in her school days because the culture encountered in the middle of her environment seems to glorify early marriage. This study aims to find forms of female resistance in Yuni's film. This research was conducted by conducting sign analysis using the semiotic theory of Roland Barthes. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this study found that there are at least three forms of female resistance in Yuni's film that are relevant to the liberal feminism movement and radical feminism. The form of female resistance in question is women's resistance in choosing to continue their education, then women's resistance in determining their own soul mate or partner, and women's resistance to the right in the form of women's freedom in reproductive life and the right to virginity.
