Abstract

Studies related to manipulators are still being carried out, along with the times and needs. Utilization in manufacturing and fabrication has led to the development of many manipulators. Smooth, fast, and accurate movement continue to be developed. In the case of the multi manipulator, 7 DOF (Degree of Freedom) is a type of manipulator that has special features in terms of joints. Inverse kinematic is a parameter used to control the orientation and movement of the manipulator. 7 DOF has three singularity wrist, elbow, and shoulder. In the simulation, each singularity produces an inverse kinematic matrix which is used to control the movement of the manipulator. The method used is to determine the angle of motion of the joint (continues joint angel) with simulation to produce calculations that are fast, precise, accurate, and stable. The target of each joint with the theta value that has been determined by the singularity was successfully carried out with an error of 0%.

Abstract

One of the technological developments in agriculture is smart farming. Shallot farmers still carry out the process of watering shallot plants manually. This takes a long time because farmers have to go around the agricultural land during the watering process. To solve these problems, an automatic shallot sprinkler machine was designed that can be applied by farmers. The Arduino Uno ATMega328 microcontroller is used on this machine as the control system, while Android is used for the interface. The android interface on this machine can provide a graphical display, therefore farmers can give direct orders to drive a DC motor (Direct Current) and a DC pump on/off switch (Direct Current). The results of the smart farming research on this automatic onion sprinkler help farmers get 72% efficient time. The comparison can be seen in the manual watering process on 10,000m2 agricultural land that takes 7 days, on the other hand, it only takes 2 days when it is done with smart farming technology.

Abstract

Freshwater fish is a type of fish that is very popular with the wider community. The problem that often occurs in cultivators is the timing of feeding fish. This study introduces automatic pellet sowing with a DC motor as a pellet ejector. The method used is by identifying research variables. This research was conducted with 3 variations of DC motor rpm rotation with 2 different pellet sizes. The data obtained showed that the farthest ejection distance is 3 mm pellets with a rotational speed of 6000 rpm, while the closest ejection distance is 3 mm pellets with a rotational speed of 1000 rpm, and it is also concluded that the data findings are the estimated time to run out of 3 kg of pellets for each pellet sample with three variations of DC motor rotational speed. Pellets with the fastest time of 1.90 s are pellets with a size of 3 mm with a rotational speed of 6000 rpm, while the longest time is 5.2 s, namely pellets with a size of 1 mm with a rotational speed of 1000 rpm.

Abstract

The identification model development of the power disturbance signals with the deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) method involves a large amount of data. However, the real signal data is limited. Therefore, researchers employ synthetic signal data. These signals can be generated by the formula IEEE standardized. In these formulas, two categories have a similar formula i.e interruption and sag. The difference is only in the intensity parameter (α). This paper analyzed the model performance of identifying those disturbances where the intensity values are set differently for training and testing datasets based on the upper bound value α of sag and the lower bound value α of interruption. Several noise levels are included in the signals. So, there are several datasets with noises in this simulation. Furthermore, those datasets are trained using the model based on deep CNN. The test results show that the true positive (TP) of the model's performance in identifying the interruption signal is 93.54% and the sag signal is 78.78%. In addition, the performance of the model using a dataset without noise obtained a high percentage in accuracy, precision, and f1-score parameters with 92.4%, 97.4%, and 92,76%, respectively.

Abstract

Human dependence on motorized vehicles is getting higher and uncontrollable. This actualization will certainly have an impact on reducing fuel stocks and air pollution with soot emissions. Combining diesel fuel with jatropha and alcohol is predicted to reduce dependence on diesel fuel and air pollution. Supplying the combustion chamber with exhaust gas/Exhaust Gas Recirculation/EGR is also predicted to reduce soot emissions and reduce fuel consumption. This study aims to observe the effect of using the EGR system on the use of mixed fuel jatropha and ethanol exhaust gas temperature/EGT as an indication of performance and soot/smoke opacity as exhaust emissions. The experimental results show the use of the EGR system increases EGT and Smoke opacity decreases the diesel engine in each fuel variation. D100 fuel EGT increased 1.67%, DJ10 increased 0.71%, DJ10E increased 0.67%, DJ20 increased 1.45%, DJ20DE increased 1.07%, DJ30 increased 1.50%, and DJ30E fuel EGT increased by 1.47%. While on the emission side, the smoke opacity of D100 fuel decreased by 1.84%, DJ10 decreased by 1.71%, DJ10E decreased by 2.21%, DJ20 decreased by 0.96%, and DJ20E decreased by 2.33, DJ30 decreased by 2.99%, and DJ30E fuel decreased 1.30%.

Abstract

Air pollution is increasing due to the high exhaust emissions of motorized vehicles using fossil fuels. The solution is the use of alternative energy. Butanol and Diethyl Ether (DEE) are alcohols that can be used as a fuel mixture and are environmentally friendly. This is because butanol and DEE have high oxygen levels so the oxidation process in the combustion chamber increases and the residual gas results from combustion is better. This study tested the residual gas from the combustion of a 160 cc gasoline engine using a mixture of pertalite-butanol and pertalite-DEE fuels with 5%, 10%, and 15% alcohol percentages. The test results show that adding DEE produces better engine exhaust emissions than adding butanol. CO emissions decreased by 87% using DEE15 while B15 reduced CO by 72%. DEE10 improves HC by 73% while B15 improves HC by 72%. However, DEE15 increases CO2 by 17% and B15 by 11%. Meanwhile, the oxygen content increased by 8% in DEE15 and 6% in B15 compared to pure pertalite.

Abstract

System security issues are a vital factor that needs to be considered in the operation of systems and networks, which will later be used for disaster mitigation and preventing attacks on the network. Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS) is a form of attack carried out by individuals or groups to damage data through servers or malware in the form of flooding packets, therefore it can paralyze the network system used. Network security is a factor that must be maintained and considered in an information system. DDoS can take the form of Ping of Death, flood, Remote control attack, User Data Protocol (UDP) flood, and Smurf Attack. This study aims to develop software to detect DDoS attacks based on network traffic logs. The software has been tested and run according to the neural network algorithm. This software was developed with an interface that makes it easier for users to detect the source IP whether the IP is carrying out a DDoS attack or normal.

Abstract

The lighting system is one of the aspects of assessing the function of the building. The building lighting system is included in the health aspect of the building. To achieve proper function, the building lighting system must meet the illumination value of each room according to the type of utilization in accordance with SNI 6197:2011, SNI 6197:2011, SNI 03-2396-2001, dan SNI 03-6575-2001. This study aims to analyze the lighting system in the Gedung Kuliah Bersama at the Politeknik Negeri Cilacap. This study uses a quantitative method by comparing the amount of light intensity based on field measurements, calculation results, and the SNI 6197:2011 standard. Based on the results of observations, data processing, and measurements, it was found that there were still some rooms in the Gedung Kuliah Bersama that did not meet SNI. Rooms that have fulfilled SNI include classrooms, library rooms, language laboratories, lecturer transit rooms, multipurpose rooms, terrace, and warehouses. It is necessary to carry out maintenance and repair of lamps for rooms that do not meet SNI. Maintenance and repair of lighting systems are carried out by replacing, adding, and/or repositioning lamps.

Abstract

A more quantifiable perspective is assuming the role of mechanistic management in an effort to enhance business based on its capacity to transform data into knowledge and insight. The industry has not completely supported its business strategy also with driven data. Using a transaction dataset taken from one of the Kaggle.com challenges, this experiment attempts to determine consumer spending patterns and Retail Fashion business revenues (H&M Personalized Fashion Recommendations). The results of the experiment are the number of transactions based on customer age, the most sales product and one-time purchased item, and the type of product that generates the highest and smallest income. The approach employed is EDA using the Python language. In order for businesses to generate analytical findings that provide future perspectives and to help identify the gap by delivering analytical results in the form of suggestions that can be perpetuated, the findings of this experiment are intended to support the capabilities of simulation. The challenge in this experiment is the abundance of datasets, which necessitates a suitable operating environment.

Abstract

Assets are resources owned by an entity. Cilacap State Polytechnic is a higher education institution that has many assets. Current asset maintenance and repair services are still carried out conventionally. Each work unit must fill out a maintenance and repair proposal form and then submit it to the Maintenance, Repair, and Maintenance Unit (UP3). The proposal will be recorded and scheduled to be followed up by the Technician. The problem that occurs is that the proposal form is often scattered and even lost so the response time is often slow. In addition, maintenance and repair schedules are often not ordered according to the time of the request. This has an impact on the abandonment of work in certain work units. The purpose of this research is to create an information system for the repair and maintenance of campus assets. In order for maintenance and repair services to be carried out according to the time of the request, the FCFS method is applied. Thus, the service process for maintaining and repairing campus assets becomes more organized, schedules (queues) are sequenced, and the response time for incident handling is faster.
