Abstract

The problem of poverty is a dilemma that the Government must solve. One of the Government's programs is the welfare program for the Family Hope Program (PKH). Tanjung Lubuk district, implementing the Family Hope Program experienced several obstacles in identifying PKH recipients, one of which was selection, limited, and close to officers so that it could lead to the provision of PKH assistance on target. Another problem is that the recipients of the data used are still using old data that has not been updated regularly, so many people who deserve assistance do not receive assistance. The research variables used were 35 variables. The output categories were entitled to receive and not entitled to receive PKH. The research method uses Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) 3. The data are from 654 low-income families in Tanjung Lubuk District. The data used are 90:10 for practice data and 80:10 for test data. The learning rate values are 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9, while the learning rate reduction is 0.1, the minimum learning rate is 0.01, the window is 0.1, 0.5, and the m value is 0.1, 0.5. The accuracy obtained is 94.4%.

Abstract

The shortage of teaching staff is still a problem in education in Indonesia, resulting in the number of teachers and students being unbalanced. It is very significant based on data from the Analysis of the Distribution of Teachers in Region 3T, which shows that the national ratio of teachers per school is 18.41, and many still have a ratio of teachers per school lower than the national. Therefore, it is necessary to group the data in one of the 3T regions, especially in the Province of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The data used for this study were 4997 schools from 8 districts and two cities. The results of this study were conducted to determine whether the grouping ratio of the number of teachers and students is ideal or not ideal. The data used are categorical and numeric data types, so the clustering analysis method used is K-Prototypes. Each cluster produces a different range of teachers and students. Cluster 1, which obtained the High category almost followed the ideal, while Cluster 2 and the Cluster 3 were still far from ideal. This needs to be considered to increase the number of teaching staff in the Education Office in each district.

Abstract

The Office of the University President of the Mindanao State University in Marawi City has the reputation of being one of the busiest in the university. It handles a variety of concerns, ranging from employee matters to matters of concern coming from the other campuses in the university system. However, matters became greatly complicated when the pandemic began and the hard lockdowns that followed forced everyone to stay at home or work remotely. It was observed that an existing perennial problem at the Office of the President was a lack of an efficient system to handle appointments, which resulted in wasted time and tasks delayed or undone. Hence, the aim of the project was to improve client waiting time by implementing a web-based appointment system. The researcher used two (2) models: the System Usability Scale and Technology Acceptance Model to evaluate the system. As a result, the system has a high level of satisfaction with a percentage of 90.2 from the user based on the overall result from two (2) models used. Therefore, implementing a web-based appointment system will certainly improve client waiting time at the Office of the President and employees at the office can schedule appointments more conveniently.

Abstract

The OKI District Population and Civil Registration Service have implemented the employee attendance information system by utilizing a fingerprint machine. This system is quite helpful in recording employee attendance properly. However, several obstacles are found in the implementation of the system. Namely, calculating the attendance percentage is still done manually because the data must be further processed using additional applications. Based on these obstacles, this study aims to implement web service technology using the protocol SOAP to integrate the system currently used. The system will automatically download fingerprint machine data and process it into attendance percentage reports, so that it can be more optimal and increase efficiency. The data obtained will be used by the staffing department, including one of the factors for measuring employee performance and determining Additional Employee Income (TPP).
