Abstract

Abstract. This research aims is to improve the students listening of folklore skill with model Think Pair Share and media audio in 4th grade students of SDN Selomulyo Sleman academic year 2018/2019. This research is a classroom action research conducted three cycles. Each cycle consist of four stage. The research data was collected through interviews, observation, test, and documentation. Data validity are using triangulation of source and triangulation of technique. Data analysis technique used was descriptive of comparative and interactive model. The researcher used five indicator to know the level of students listening of folklore skill. That all instrinsic elements, text comprehension, main problem, text organizaion, and problem solving. The results shows that classical completeness on pre-action is 7,69%, increase on cycle I by 43,21% ,increase on cycle II by 69,23% , and increase again in cycle III by 88,46%. Based on the result, the conclusion is the application of model Think Pair Share and media audio can improve the students listening of folklore skill on 4th grade students of SDN Selomulyo Sleman academic year 2018/2019.Keywords : Think Pair Share, media audio, students listening of folklore skil, elementary school

Abstract

The purpose of this research is improving the ability to solve water cycle problems  by applying problem based learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of the 5th students at SD Negeri Munggung I Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year, totalling 19 students. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of interview, observation, field notes, tests, and documentation with data analysis of content validity and triangulation. The analysis of the data used is the interactive analysis model of Miles-Huberman. The first cycle resulting in a percentage of 52.63% in classical, and the study continued with the second cycle with the percentage of 84.21% in classical terms. Based on the result of the research, it can be conclude that the ability to solve water cycle problems on 5th students of SD Negeri Munggung I Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year can be improved through the Problem Based Learning model.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to improve reading comprehension by using learning models Examples Non - Examples with visual media. The form of this research is classroom action research and carried out in two cycles. The cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were homeroom teacher and fourth grade students. Data analysis technique is interactive analysis consisting of three components, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data collection techniques used are documentation, observaation, interviews, tests. Data validity using data triangulation and technical triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the application of Examples Non - Examples with visual media can improve comprehension reading skills for IV students of SD N Bumi 01 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year.Keywords : Examples Non-Examples Learning Model and visual media, reading comprehension ability of stories

Abstract

The study aims to improve the writing skills of javanese alphabet nglegena through the use of media Stick Figure based on educational board games in class III students of Selodoko 2 elementary school, Ampel Sub-district, Boyolali Districk, in academic year 2018/2019. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were third grade teachers and students. Data collection techniques in this study used interview, observation, documentation, and test techniques. Test the validity of the data using content validity, source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique used interactive analysis according to Miles and Huberman. Increase in the average score of the four aspects from the pre-action with the score of 2,09 increasing up to 2,48 in the first cycle then increase again in the cycle 2 with a score of 3,26. The average aspect influences the value of aspects of writing skills Javanese alphabet nglegena. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of media Stick Figure based on educational board games can improve writing skills in Javanese alphabet nglegena in class III students of Selodoko 2 elementary school, Ampel Sub-district, Boyolali District.Keywords: media Stick Figure based on educational board games, Javanese alphabet nglegena writing skill, elementary school

Abstract

The aim of this research was to improve the narrative writing skill through Cooperative learning model of Concept Sentence type with picture series media in third grade students of State Primary School of Kebonsari Kebumen in the academic year 2018/2019. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a cycles model. This research  was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this reseach were the teacher and students of 3rd grade in Kebonsari, Kebumen state primary school. The data collection techniques in  this research  include observation, interview, test, and document. The data validity test of this research were source and technique triangulation and content validity. The data analysis techniques of this research were interactive model of analysis and descriptive comparative technique. The average value of the narrative writing skills at pre-action stage reached 63,20 with 32,35% classical completeness or as much as 11 out of 34 students succeeded. Then in cycle I the average value of narrative writing skills achieved 75,08 with 70,59% of classical completeness or about 24 out of 34 students succeeded and increased again up to 81,06 with 88,23% of classical completeness or about 30 out of 34 student succeeded in cycles II.     Keywords: narrative writing skills, Concept Sentence model, picture series

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve narrative writing skill through Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on students fifth class of Laweyan No. 54 Surakarta Public Elementary School academic year 2018/2019. The form of  research is a classroom action research, conducted for two cycles with the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection on each cycle. Data collection techniques are using interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. Data validity technique is using triangulation. Data analysis techniques is interactive analysis  model that includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion rawing verification. The result of research showed that using CIRC learning model can improve narrative writing skill. The average score of each aspect of the students' narrative writing skills has increased, from 11.47 at the pretest, then after the action by applying CIRC to 13.56 in the first cycle, 80.11 in the second cycle and including the skilled category. The conclusion of this research is the narrative writing skills of fifth grade students of Public Elementary School Laweyan No. 54 Surakarta academic year 2018/2019 increases through the application of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning models.Keywords: Narrative text, writing skill, Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC).

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve problem solving the skills of data interpretation through the use of the team assisted individualization type cooperative learning  model in fifth grade students of SD N Kemasan 2 No. 248 Surakarta 2018/2019 school year. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is conducted in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings with 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were teachers and 5th grade students, amounting to 28 students. This study uses observational techniques, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data analysis using interactive data analysis with steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The data validity test technique uses source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results showed that the average score of pre-action class with 14.% classical completeness increased to 43% classical completeness in the 1st cycle,  increased with a classical completeness of 60.71% in cycle II. and increased again with a classical completeness of 89.29% in cycle III. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the application of the team assisted individualization type cooperative learning  model can improve the problem solving the skills of data interpretation in class V SD N Kemasan 2 No. 248 Surakarta 2018/2019 school year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is describing the improvement concluding skills through the PjBL model (Project Based Learning) thru Science learning on 3rd grade in elementary school the academic year 2017/2018. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research is done in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps i.e. planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject is 3rd grade at one of elemetary school which consist of 21 students. The Data collection techniques are using observation, interviews, tests, and dokumnetasi. The validity of the data using triangulation technique and content validity. Technique of data analysis is using the interactive model analysis. The results showed an increase at each meeting of classical achievement, from 0% in pre cycle, increase to 47,61% in cycle I and end up in 85,17% on cycle II. There are 19.04% (4 students) who scored < 80, it mean that they don’t pass the minimum criteria.. The reason is they have difficulty in accepting the explanation from teacher. To  follow-up that problem, the teacher will give more attention to the activities that can improve concluded skills. The conclusion of this research is that through the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model can improve the concluding skill at the science learning 3rd grade at one of  elementary school in the academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Abstract. This research has a purpose to find : (1)the different of argumentative text writing skills between the students that teached by Six Thinking Hats learning method within  Brainstorming learning method ; (2) the different of argumentative text writing skills between the high internal locus of control students and low internal locus of control students, and (3) the interaction between learning method and internal locus of control on the  argumentative text writing skills. Research arranged using quasi experimental research method at 2 x 2 factorial design. The examined population were all the fifth grader students of state elementary school at Laweyan sub district Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year. The technique of sampling was using cluster random sampling. The representative sample were Kleco I elementary school and Bratan II elementary school. Data dollected by test and non test technique. The data were analyzed using Two Ways Anava at 5% significance level. This research conclude that (1) there was a different of argumentative text writing skills between the students that teached by Six Thinking Hats learning method within Brainstorming learning method with FA = 11.1345093 > F(0,05;1,62) = 4; (2) there was a different of argumentative text writing skills between the high internal locus of control students and low internal locus of control students with FB= 5.76629985> F(0,05;1,62) = 4; (3) there was no interaction between learning method and internal locus of control on the  argumentative text writing skills with FAB = -0.9813857<F(0,05;1,62) = 4.Keywords : Six Thinking Hats, Brainstorming, Internal Locus of Control, argumentative text writing skills, elementary school

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the word problem solving skills through the use of learning models Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS). This is an action classroom research that carried out for two cycles. Every cycle consist of four steps there are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Technique that uses for collect data are observation, interview, test, and documentation. The data validity test technique used content validity and triangulation. The data analysis technique uses interactive model learning. The result of this research showed that the initial pre-action test score were 47.08 with classical completeness of 15.15%, increased in the first cycle by 69,2 with classical completeness of 51.5%, then in second cycle it increased significantly to 81.06 with classical completeness of 81.82%. Referring to the results of this reserch it can be conclude that the use of ARIAS learning models can improve the word problem solving skills in fifth grades students of SDN Bumi I No.67 Surakarta academic year 2018/2019.
