Abstract

This study was conducted with three objectives the first is to find out differences of the student’s reading comprehension ability, taught by using learning strategies namely, Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review (SQ4R) and Expository, the second is to find out the differences of student’s reading comprehension skill with high and low reading interest, the third is to find out the interactions between learning strategies and student’s reading interest towards reading comprehension ability. This study was using a quasi-experimental method. The study scope was the fourth grade students in Laweyan sub-district, Surakarta in the 2018/2019 school year. There are 2 elementary schools as samples of research taken randomly using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The data analysis technique used two-way variance analysis with analysis prerequisite tests.  The significance level used was 0.05. The results of the study showed that there are different result between using SQ4R and Expository learning strategy towards the student's reading comprehension ability, there are differences in reading comprehension ability of students with high and low reading interest, and there is no interaction between learning strategies and student’s reading interest towards student’s reading comprehension ability.Keywords : Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review (SQ4R), Expository, Reading Interest, Reading Comprehension ability, Elementary school

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve of concept comprehension on economy activity by applying cooperative learning model type Group Investigation. The subjects were IV grade students of SDN 02 Gedongan in academic year 2018/ 2019, totaling 20 students. This research was a classroom action research which was held in two cycles. There were four stages in each cycle, which was planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques were interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques, interactive analysis models and comparative descriptive statistics. Data validity using source triangulation and technical triangulation. Results research to show that average class on preaction class score is 51,55 with 0 % classical completeness. Then class average value increased in cycle I to 71,42 with 42,11 % classical completeness, and in cycle II increased again to 79,55 with 84,21 % classical completeness. Based on results research, can concluded that application of cooperative learning model type Group Investigation can improve of concept comprehension on economy activity on the IV grade students of SD Negeri 02 Gedongan in academic year 2018/ 2019.        Keywords: concept comprehension, group investigation model, economy activity, elementary School

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research which aimed to improve fluency thinking skills in Social Sciences lessons through used Quick on The Draw learning model for 4th grade of elementary school student at Surakarta on 2018/2019 academic year. The subjects of this research were class teacher and 28 students from 4th grade of elementary school student. The procedure of this research consisted of 3 cycles, each of that cycles had 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection of this research was done by interviewing, observing, fluency thinking skills tests, and document studies technique. Data validity used is content validity and triangulation technique. This research used interactive analysis (Miles and Huberman models) for data analysis. The results of the research after the action increased from initial condition was 65.68 (39%) to 78.46 (61%) in the first cycle, 87.21 (75%) in the second cycle, and 92.36 (86%) in the third cycle. Based on the results of this research, it was concluded that the fluency thinking skills of 4th grade elementary school students in social science leasson increased after the Quick on The Draw learning model was implemented.       Keywords: fluency thinking skills, social sciences lessons, Quick on The Draw learning model, elementary school

Abstract

Peningkatan pemahaman konsep keragaman budaya masyarakat Indonesia dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran meaningful instructional design (mid) pada peserta didik kelas V  sekolah dasar. Peningkatkan diukur melalui hasil tes evaluasi pemahaman konsep keragamab budaya masyarakat Indonesia dengan indikator keberhasilan sebesar 83,88 % atau 24 dari 31 peserta didik yang mendapatkan nilai diatas KKM (>75).

Abstract

The purpose of this study to improve the ability to think critically on the material of economic activities by applying the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) learning model for 5th grade students of Elementary School students at semarang on 2018/2019, totalling 21 students. The procedure of this research consisted of 2 cycle, each cycle consisted of 2 learning process. Data collection on this research was done by observating, interviewing, critical thinking testing, and documentating. This research used interactive analysis (Miles and Huberman model) for analyse the research’s data. Based on the results of the study showed that the pre-action class average score was 58.29 (28.57%), it increased to 63,1 (60%) in the first cycle, and it increased to 73.79 (80.95%). Based on the above data it can be concluded that the application of the connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending (CORE) learning models can improve the critical thinking skills of economic activity material in fifth grade students.

Abstract

The purpose of research is improve problem solving skills in the stories matter of solid geometry by applying the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of VB class at SD Negeri Danukusuman in the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 32 students. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, tests, and documentation with data analysis of source triangulation, technique triangulation, and content validity. The analysis of the data used is the interactive analysis model of Miles-Huberman. The initial conditions of problem solving skills of VB class students showed 18.75% classically. The first cycle began with the first learning resulting in a percentage of 38.7% in classical, the second learning was 40% in classical, and the third learning was 51.75% in classical. The study continued with the second cycle with the percentage of achievement at the first learning amounting to 73.1% in classical, the second learning was 82.15%, and the third learning was 87.5% in classical terms.Keywords: problem solving skills, creative problem solving learning model, stories matter, solid geometry

Abstract

Abstract. The research purposed to describe the result of using scramble model in improving the analysis ability of material changes on students class V SD Negeri Triyagan 02 Sukoharjo Student Year 2018/2019. The form of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) was held for two cycle. Each cycle was conducted two meetings. Students class V SD Negeri Triyagan 02 Sukoharjo was the subject of this research. They were amounts 26 people. The data was collected by test, observation, interview, and documentary. All those datas was analysed by using interactive data analysis which was based on Miles and Huberman analysis for qualitative data. The result showed that: The score of analysis ability in material changes had improved after implementing scramble model in two cycles. The classical completeness just reached 7,69% and the grade average was 55,04 in pre-test. In first cycle, the classical completeness reached 42,31% and the grade average was 71,12. In second cycle, the classical completeness reached 80,77% and the grade average increased 80,92. Based on the result of this research, the researcher concluded that implementing scramble model proved increasing the analysis ability of material changes on students class V SD Negeri Triyagan 02 Sukoharjo Student Year 2018/2019.Keyword: the analysis ability, material changes, scramble model

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve writing skills through learning scramble cooperative type  in Grade III stundentsof  Laweyan  Primary School No.54 Surakarta Academic Year 2018/2019. The subject of this research were on classroom include teacher 35 students. The use of data were collected through observation, interview, tes and documention techniquers. The analysis data consist ofcollection data, reduction data, presentation data, and tge canclusions. The results of this study  is indicate that in the  acquisition value of the average narrative  writing essay skills are 56.51 with a 8.57% classical completeness. In the first cycle, the average score increased to 65.47 with a classical  completeness of 48.57%, while in the second cycle the average score was 74.82 with a 88.57% classical completeness. Based on the results of the research obtained, it shows that  learning model scramble cooperative type  can improve the narrative essay writing skills in grade III students of Laweyan No. SD Negeri. 54 Surakarta  Academic Year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui penerapan model pembelajaran POGIL pada pembelajaran IPA. Bentuk dari penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Penelitian dilakukan melalui empat tahapan yakni perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket. Data diuji keabsahannya menggunakan validitas isi dan triangulasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analasis interaktif Miles dan Hubberman. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru kelas V SD Negeri Pajang Surakarta tahun ajaran 2018/2019.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Rata - rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pratindakan sebesar 63,5. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 75,83, kemudian meningkat kembali pada siklus II menjadi 80,63. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan model POGIL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD Negeri Pajang IV Surakarta tahun ajaran 2018/2019.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve of analysis ability on force concept by applying Means Ends Analysis model. The subject were IV grade students of SD Negeri 4 Boyolali in academic year 2018/2019, totaling 40 students. This research was a classroom action research wich was held in two cycles. There were four stages in each cycle, which was planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques were interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. Data analysis  echniques, interactive analysis models and comparative descriptive statistics. Data validity using source  riangulation and technical triangulation. Result research o show that averageclass on preaction score is 23,88 with 0% classical completeness. Then class average value increased in cycle I to 53 with 32,5% classical completeness, and in cycle II increased again to 78,35 with 80% classical completeness. Based on results research, can concluded that application of Means Ends Analysis model can improve of analysis abilityon force concept on the IV grade students of SD Negeri 4 Boyolali in academic year 2018/2019.Keyword: analysis ability, force concept, Means Ends Analysis    model, elementary school
