Abstract

Pregnant primigravida women generally experience fear, anxiety, and worry during pregnancy and while facing childbirth and the postpartum period. Anxiety has been identified as a contributing factor in prolonged labour and fetal death. Stress and anxiety management strategies can be implemented using psychotherapy methods such as emotional freedom techniques which is fundamental principle of EFT is to activate and cessation wave through the stimulation of meridian spot to brain, usually tapping. This study employs a quasi-experimental methodology. The research method employed is a single-group pretest-posttest design, which lacks a standard group. This design demands measuring anxiety levels with a pretest conducted before the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) intervention and a posttest conducted afterward. The population under investigation comprises all pregnant primigravida in Tapanuli Tengah Regency between April and August 2024. A purposive sampling technique was employed to obtain third-trimester primigravida without complications as respondents. A total of 30 respondents met the inclusion criteria. The research objectiove is to ascertain the levels of anxiety before and after the application of Emotional Freedom Techniques on pregnant primigravida women and to understand how the following works of EFT on their anxiety during childbirth. SPSS 25 is a helping tool to analyse the effect using a paired t-test. The results indicate that there is an effect of Emotional Freedom Techniques in lowering an uneasiness in pregnant primigravida women in their third term during childbirth, with a mean of 20.067 and a p-value of 0.000 < (α = 0.05). Based on the research, it can be concluded that Emotional Freedom Techniques has an effect in lowering an uneasiness in pregnant primigravida women in their third term during childbirth. Abstract

Exposure to pornographic media among adolescents has become an increasingly concerning issue. High curiosity and technological advancements elevate the risk of adolescents being exposed to pornography. The aim of this study is to determine the exposure to pornographic media among university-level adolescents aged 20-24 years. This study used a quantitative approach with cross-sectional design. This study used secondary data from Nurhidayah Nasution in 2019. The research activities were conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang, South Sumatra, in September 2019. There were 140 teenagers ages 20 to 24 involved in this study which were selected using cluster sampling technique. Data processing was conducted through stages of checking for missing data, editing, coding, and tabulating. Data were analysed univariately, bivariately using the chi-square test, and multivariately using logistic regression tests with predictive models. The results of the analysis show that 39.3% of adolescents are exposed to pornography. There is a significant relationship between gender (p=0.003, PR=2.518, 95% CI (1.306-4.855)), peer behavior (p=0.000, PR=4.000, 95% CI (2.456-6.514)), peer norms (p=0.000, PR=2.441, 95% CI (1.549-3.846)), and lifestyle (p=0.012, PR=1.747, 95% CI (1.160-2.633)) with exposure to pornographic media among adolescents. Exposure to pornographic media is 8.7 times more likely to occur in adolescents with peers exhibiting negative behaviors after being controlled for the confounding variable of peer norms (p=0.000, PR=8.742, 95% CI (3.375-20.342)). As a result, a comprehensive approach is needed through supervision and education involving parents and cross-sectoral government to improve self-control and supervision on digital literacy so that adolescents can filter information wisely and avoid exposure to pornographic media. Abstract

Fracture is one of the problems in health care centers around the world. The condition of the tissue around the fracture will experience damage to its integrity so that it can cause pain, trauma, joint stiffness, and musculoskeletal disorders. Pain is a sensory or emotional experience related to tissue damage. Sharp and stabbing pain is felt due to bone infection due to muscle spasms or pressure on sensory nerves. Non-pharmacological therapies include cold compresses that can reduce pain, reduce inflammatory responses, and reduce blood flow and reduce edema. This therapy is more effectiveand easy to do independently by patients. Cold pack for compresses are also useful for reducing muscle tension and reducing swelling so that patients are more comfortable and relaxed. This study aims to assess the difference in the duration of cold compresses using cold packs on reducing the intensity of acute pain in fracture patients at the Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital. The research method is Quasi-Experimental with a pretest, posttest group design approach. Sampling using the consecutive sampling technique so that 66 respondents were obtained. The research instrument used the Numeric Rating Scale. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney U tests. The results showed that the mean value for the 20 minute compress group was 23.85, while the mean value for the 30 minute compress group was 43.15 with a p value <0.05. It can be concluded that giving a cold compress for 30 minutes is much more effective than giving a cold compress for 20 minutes. It is hoped that nurses in providing nursing care can apply a cold compress for 30 minutes using a cold pack as an independent nursing action in managing fracture pain in the hospital. Abstract

The demand for blood continues to increase each year. The lack of interest in blood donation among the public leads to insufficient blood supply at blood banks, especially in Makassar city. This study was conducted to identify the factors that influence the public's interest in blood donation in Makassar. This is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional design and an analytical observational approach, using a sample of 100 people who reside in Makassar. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling, and primary data was collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. Overall, the results of the study showed that the public's interest in blood donation in Makassar was very good, with 75% (75 people) of the total 100 respondents expressing interest. The frequency based on gender and age was dominated by females at 76%, and the age range of 20-29 years accounted for 40%. The frequency of employment status showed that 45% were employed, while 55% were unemployed. Respondents' knowledge level was found to be good, with 95% demonstrating good knowledge. Based on the chi-square test, it was found that there was no significant relationship between knowledge (p= 1.000>p=0.05), gender (p= 1.000>p=0.05), and occupation (p= 0.357>p=0.05) and the interest in blood donation. However, age (p= 0.010<p=0.05) was found to have an effect on the public's interest in blood donation in Makassar. Interviews also revealed that there are other factors affecting blood donation interest, such as attitude, medical history, body weight, and other external factors. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants that affect the satisfaction of BPJS participants with outpatient installation services at Royal Prima Marelan Hospital. Patient satisfaction is an important indicator in assessing the quality of health services, especially in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program organized by BPJS. The research method used is observational analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 232 respondents selected through the purposive sampling method, namely BPJS participant patients who visited the outpatient installation of the Royal Prima Marelan Hospital. The variables analyzed included membership status, perception of service procedures (registration), perception of human resource services (health workers), perception of drug services (pharmacy), and perception of facilities. Data collection was carried out using a structured questionnaire that included the dimensions of these services. Data analysis involves univariate tests, bivariates with chi-square tests, and multivariates to determine dominant factors. The results showed that 83.3% of respondents were satisfied with the service, while the rest felt less satisfied. The factors that had a significant relationship with patient satisfaction were perception of service procedures (p=0.004), perception of human resource services (p=0.039), perception of drug services (p=0.000), and perception of facilities (p=0.011). The perception of drug services has the greatest influence on the satisfaction of BPJS participants. These results suggest that the accuracy, availability, and ease of access of medications greatly contribute to satisfaction rates. The conclusion of this study is that improving the quality of significant service factors, especially related to drug services and facilities, needs to be a priority for hospitals to increase the satisfaction of BPJS participants. This research is expected to be a reference for policymakers in designing strategies to improve health services, especially at the Royal Prima Marelan Hospital. Keywords: Hospital, Installation Services, Outpatient, Social Health Insurance Administration

Abstract

The global HIV/AIDS health crisis continues to pose significant challenges, particularly for people of productive age. In Indonesia, the disease imposes a significant social and economic burden, with high HIV prevalence exacerbating the strain on public health and socio-economic systems. At the Bandar Khalipah Health Centre, the high number of HIV cases underscores the inadequacy of existing prevention efforts and health services. This study analyses the delivery system of the HIV health services programme at the Bandar Khalipah Health Centre using a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations and document analysis with key informants including the health centre head, programme manager and clinical staff. Data analysiFs was conducted using ATLAS.ti version 9 software, which allowed for the systematic identification and categorisation of themes. The study identified key challenges in three primary programme components: input, process and output. In terms of input, critical human resource constraints and the lack of routine training for health workers were highlighted. In terms of output, while patient satisfaction with services was generally high, adherence to treatment was particularly low due to social stigma and inadequate community outreach. The findings highlight the importance of strengthening all components of the HIV healthcare programme at Bandar Khalipah Health Centre in order to improve service quality and patient outcomes. This includes building the capacity of health staff, promoting community engagement, and addressing social stigma. These findings have important implications for public health policies and strategies aimed at optimising local HIV services and reducing health inequalities.Keyword: System analysis, Program Implementation, Healthcare Services, HIV Infected Individuals, VCT
